What a nice surprise tonight we had when stopping for a quick bite at Pizzaria Azzurri. I have been getting lemon pepper wings with scooter sauce on the side for years as that is a unique wing taste created by Chef Cary. When I mentioned I havent tried anything else in years, Cary went into full combat mode and treated to us to some of his new menu items that were simply off the chart for a "pizza place". We started with a Caprese salad that is as beautiful as it is delicious. We will be back for that. When I mentioned I never had the spaghetti, I was given a sampler of a very good spaghetti with wonderful meatballs and sausage buried inside. Then came the lasagna, that is filled with so much more than cheese and meats. It is simply delicious. Cary then challenged my Pennsylvania wife to come back for his Cheesesteak, that along with specially shipped meats etc, contains things that just dont sound right to a Georgia boy, but patrons from Philadephia order two at a time. We are also now waiting for three other items that he is still perfecting before releasing onto the menu. Trust me. Chef Cary is talented and now he is on the war path to defend his place against the newer restaurants opening in the area. Pizzaria Azzurri has always been a good friend to the NFHS Soccer team so I have no hesitation in calling Cary out for his talent.

The worst pizza Ive ever had in my life being from Brooklyn New York and knowing about people in my life the pizza I had today was pizza from yesterday and they put new cheese on top and to me it tastes like dogshit I took one bite I threw both slices in the garbage actually I threw him out on Georgia 400 I will never ever go to this place again absolutely garbage, I have eaten here one time and it was absolutely wonderful and if the manager would be willing to make me a wonderful fresh pizza Id be willing to try it again but the pizza I had today was absolutely terrible absolutely terrible it was it was absolutely very very the cheese wasnt cooked and I wish the manager would please make me a new Fresh pie well done

My experience at Pizzeria Azzurri was nothing short of extravagant. The overall ambience of the restaurant turned my frown upside down, and that was just the start. The hostess, Caitlin, greeted me with a beautiful smile and a friendly "How ya doin?!", which turned my initial rating from three stars to five. Once we were ready to order our food, Christy came ready as ever and was so attentive when taking my order! She even put up with my dad jokes! Amazing! Then, I took the first bite of my sandwich, and I mightve fallen in love. I had an amazing time at Pizzeria Azzurri, and its a night I will never forget. Whether youre out soul searching or just hungry for some amazing food, this is the place for you.

Great food meets a superb dramatic performance. As one patron put it was "hell". The screams the equivalent of a harpy, customers cautiously looking at one another in fear... it was awesome! When my food came out after ages with some lady named Trish who looked like she thought I was lower than her. I could not eat the food because I didnt know what Trish did to it and she was the one tormenting her coworkers, but i paid the bill because my ACTUAL waitress deserved it. So if you go, ask for Blair and give Trish a wiiiiiide birth. If you like a wonderful performance combating the Greek tragedies then listen with fascination... Or bring your headphones! You may be able to ignore the screaming match.

Disappointing!!! When I read brick oven pizza, I am expecting a traditional brick oven heated in 850 degrees by real wood. I even asked if they use wood and unfortunately they said yes when that is not the case. Its an insult for an Italian to see the name Azzuri affiliated in a pizzeria when it does not even represent the real taste of an Italian Pizza. We ordered the basic Margherita Pizza and it was a white pizza with thick tomato slices and basil. A Margherita Pizza is a thin crust with tomato sauce, fresh mozarella cheese and basil. I guess its a great pizza for an average American Pizza but not for this Napolitano wife. P.S. Their wings are not bad at all.

Met another couple for dinner with all the kids- Food good- service very slow- she was sweet but had to go ask kitchen several questions during ordering process. Long time to get beer Long time to get salad Long time to get food... Both pizzas at the table were different than what we ordered. We were very specific with allergy-questions too... Since we had already been there an hour we ate anyway. Server somehow got confused about my friend ordering his familys food, then me ordering ours...? Then when she brought the check my pizza was on his bill?? Very frustrating evenkng

We have eaten there about 10 times in the past couple of months. Food has been great each time. This is not your typical pizza joint.. its much better!. They offer good food and adequate service but you can tell they are learning as it has gotten better each time. Reasonably priced and they even offer some "good for you" options such as whole wheat crust, glueten free options, etc... A new favorite for our family. Also their take out is prompt.

These guys are great. Dont understand the rude ratings. I have always had great service from these guys. I LOVE PIZZA and therefore pride myself on knowing the good and the bad. Mellow Mushroom used to hold the top spot but now these guys are ON TOP. Great Pizza. Even if there a few bumbs in the service the pies will help you overlook it. You will not be disappointed.

Service stinks - not rude, but could really care less if I was there. Greek salad with gorganzola cheese??? Wings that were microscopic, bones sticking out and cooked until there was hardly any meat left. Some weird crumbly cheese in the calzone. I tried them when they first opened and was unimpressed with the service - thought Id try again. That was it for me.

Ive seen a few negative ratings, but I think those reviews are crazy. The food is second to none in this area. Very nice staff and the cost is reasonable. I have never had a bad meal there. Pizza, calzones, pasta, and salads are all great, but the hidden gem is the wings - unbelievable! Yes - go there and thank me later!

When we first visited a few weeks ago we had a less than satisfied experience. We let the owner know and he made it right with us and invited us back to give them another chance. We went back a second time and are really glad we did! What a great restaurant...great food and great service. We highly recommend!

Had a customer of mine recommend this place and it definitely didnt disappoint. The staff was very friendly and I had a great conversation with them while I was waiting for my food. The wings were crispy and both sauces I tried had a great flavor. The pizza was extremely tasty as well.

My wife and I have just moved to Cumming and decided to try this restaurant. We absolutely loved it. The crust on the pizza is light and has very little oil. The waiter was very polite and helpful with our first meal choice. He even informed us of their lunch specials for our future visits.
