This might be a one time instance but regardless I have to share my experience as it was by far the most disgusting I have ever had. I ordered a lunch special that came with the ginger salad. When I received my salad I took three bites and noticed a weird object resembling a watermelon seed. I moved the object around it was hard. When I went to pick it up to try to take a closer look the thing flew at me! It was the grossest thing I ever experienced it even had the sauce they poured on it! When the waitress came over we politely said "we do not want to cause a scene but we wanted to point out what had happened." I saved the bug under my napkin so she could see it. She was disgusted as well. When she went to explain and show the manager who we came to find out is the owner he did not do anything. We were not looking for a free meal although it would have been the right thing to do. We were just looking for an explanation or some kind of acknowledgement. There was none of this. If you believe in ethics and you want good Thai / sushi I recommended Thai Star Cafe across the street or Goldfish for Sushi. Do not waste your time eating here. With too many places to choose from who provide excellent customer service it is not worth your time to go here. The two places I mentioned will treat you like royalty compared to this place and you will get better food guaranteed to have no bugs!! Knowing what kind of ethics this place has makes me think all the positive reviews in here are from the manager/owner creating false statements or from friends trying to help this guy out.

Well, Ive been ordering from this place quite often over the past 4 years and most of the time its been great. The lunch/early evening staff have usually been pretty nice and understanding and it was a nice little spot to have a quick sushi meal. There arent many places I can order from due to my many food allergies, so I keep coming back despite every so often they forget to follow the special instructions or the service wasnt top-notch because someone was having either a bad day or their time of the month - but typically it hasnt been a big deal. Not anymore - this time I had a full allergic reaction while enjoying my delivered items at work and now wont be venturing to this once-upon-a-time oasis anymore. Not only did I ask no wasabi, no ginger and no gluten (allergic, not my choice) but it was recorded on the ticket and receipt I received - my meal came with something fried on the sushi taco wrap (apparently that has traces of gluten, although last time I ordered it they were helpful and sure not to have that...) and my sushi came with wasabi and ginger... I know I have to ask for more custom items, but I try to keep it as minimal as possible since eating out is a once a month treat with my allergies. Looks like Asian Cafe is the new spot to be, even if it means I can only have a few items off their sushi list and its a few more minutes down the road. So sad and disappointed. Farewell R. Rice.

Horrible lunch experience today! I ordered at 11:24 to make sure it arrived at my job by 12:30 and it took until 1:00pm before it showed up. The driver came in acting very laid back and calm not like someone who had been busy doing multi deliveries (usually how delivery drivers are when they are so late). I called the restaurant when it was an hour late and I was told it would be here in 10 minutes but yet it took another 30 to show up. I would have been fine if the food had been good but it was horrible! The Tempura was soggy and wet, the Mongolian beef container was half empty (they charged $9.95 for a lunch portion???) it was so salty I had to throw it away. The manager called me before I got my food and told me she would give me 10% off my next order since the food was going to be so late. 10% of zero is zero because I will NOT order from them again. To top it off I do not like to write reviews but this one had to be written to warn others.

I really like the food, but the tall delivery driver will cause this wonderful restaurant to go downhill. He is VERY rude! I ordered 2 weeks ago and was waiting for him (he didnt have to wait for me) and he was holding my order while I was signing my receipt and I gave him a decent tip (more than 15%) and he tosses my bag in a chair instead of handing it to me. So, I ordered again today and I signed my receipt. He came back to me and made it clear that I didnt give Him a tip. I explained to him that the last time I gave him a tip..he was rude. He said to me...next time you pick up your own food, no more. I called the restaurant and they explained to me that he was rude to another customer like that last week. I explained tho them that if they continue to allow him to have poor customer service, their restaurant will no longer exist. He needs to be fired! Overall I give the restaurant 5 stars....the delivery driver...0 stars!

Everyone at work raved about how awesome this place is. I rarely order delivery at work, because, well, Im broke, but I was feeling a little down and thought a nice warm meal would make me happy. I ordered the Massaman, which Ive had a several different places before, and its all prepared the same. I received my order shortly before they closed and we were busy at work, so it had to sit there for a few minutes. Much to my amazement, there was an ingredient in there that WASNT listed on the website menu, nor have any other restaurants used it. I hate green and red peppers and this meal was LOADED with them. I picked out about 2 handfuls of them, leaving a ton of tofu and a sliver of avocado. I was pissed and I refuse to eat there again. Heres what the menu says "Rich yellow curry with avocado, cashews, onions, cauliflower"...nothing about peppers.

3/4 empty restaurant, waiters hang around complaining that business is sooooo slow, yet good luck getting service. Miso soup was out of a can and WAY over-salted, Korean marinated vegies on the side !?!, sushi rolls were tiny and falling apart when you touch them, suhimi was generous but the finish was a bit stale. I asked for green tee, and got a cup of boiling water with a tee bag next to it - first time ever in any Japanese restaurant (real or wanna-be). Walk by.

Mediocre food and horrible service. Placed a delivery order and didnt get it until almost 2 hours later. Didnt leave a tip because the service was horrible and the delivery guy snatched the pen from me and walked away. I am usually very generous tipper, but the service was horrible. They did reimburse me half of what I paid, so I can appreciate that. However, the delivery guy was horrible. Probably will never eat here again.
