I have been here on two separate occasions the first time the food was great. The second time I went was the day after memorial day and I was less than impressed. The cooks must have been working on a hangover or something. The quality of the seafood is great and you can tell it is fresh but the execution was just not there. The restaurant was practically empty. The hostess was awkward and really should not be a hostess. The place is very well decorated and has a great setup. Some of the tables have the option to fold out to make the table larger. I sat down with my two year old daughter and noticed that in the 1/2 inch crack where the hinges of the table are there was there was a ton of dirt, grime, dust and food that had never been cleaned from the crack. It was obvious it had not been cleaned in months if not longer. My daughter being two puts here fingers wherever they will fit and began to reach on the inside of the disgusting cracks. I took out a diaper wipe and began to clean the inside of the table cracks. I wish I would have took pictures to upload. The diaper wipe was black and brown through and through once I cleaned only two sides of the table we were sitting on. I let the server know and he apologized blindly. Then went and grabbed a rag and began cleaning the table next to us. I watched him do a mediocre job at best cleaning the table next to us. He came back later and thanked me for pointing it out and said some of them were really bad. I noticed several other issues with cleanliness throughout the place. Staff was very lackadaisical when I was there both downstairs in the bar and upstairs in the restaurant. Do not get me wrong this is a decent seafood place, but at $25+ a plate, lack of consistency, nothing special service, there is a lot of room for improvement at Legal Seafood. I go to nice seafood restaurants for GOOD memorable experiences, great food, good service, and consistency with the food. I will hesitate before going here again. Would love to go here and spend a week whipping the place into shape.

Awful experience. Bad attitudes combined with a rip off. Im a local who sat at the bar for lunch with mom and a friend after volunteering at a parade all day. "Joey" (bald dude) was the bartender. He scoffed at our questions from the get-go. After 1 round of drinks my mom asked to pay for those separately. The total was $22.?? She paid with $30 cash (a 10 and a 20). Joey puts the change on the bar in front of her - a little over $7. After about 50 seconds of not touching the change that he left on the bar, Joey decided that he was going to take it back as his tip. Without even asking, he takes the $7+ off the bar and says "thanks ladies." ...!!!!!HE STOLE OUR MONEY!! We were so shocked that he did it with such cockines that we couldnt even respond. At the time I thought it best to not say anything and count that money towards his tip for the remaining bill. Mistake! The rice and beans served with the fish tacos came out of a can. I complained and was offered another side but had lost my appetite by then. We asked for the checks and Joey had not adjusted the bill or told the manager about the issue. At that time I got up to find the manager -Nicole- who was equally problematic. She defended and justified joeys actions re the bad food and said they dont make any sort of adjustments to bills, even after the customer decides they dont want another side. She told me That Joey is a star bartender and made me feel that I was out of line for complaining about his unprofessionalism. At no point did she offer to even cut the price of the entree in half or even a small deduction!!! This is when I told her that she needed to give me the change from the bar tab that Joey had stolen. She found Joey and it took them 10 mins to figure out how to give us our change. UNBELIEVABLE. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY FROM HER OR JOEY FOR STEALING OUR MONEY. Or an apology for shitty food. Awful management and service. Stay away.

Decided to have Christmas dinner here. We made a reservation for 7:45 an we arrived at 7:10. The host advised us he would seat us as soon as possible so we went down to the bar. He had a long island and I had a cpt morgan with ginger ale, price wasnt too bad. I received a text around 7:33 saying our table was ready so we headed upstairs. The hostess walked us to the general area of our table then said it wasnt fully set an asked us to wait just a moment. We stood almost in the middle of the dining room floor for just over 7 mins until the other host happened to walk by. He asked me if everything was ok an why we werent seated so I explained. He immediately grabbed 2 place settings an seated us, the hostess who was originally seating us was standing holding a conversation with someone else while we stood there waiting. Our waiter then came over an introduced himself. Since it was my first time at the restaurant he did what any good waiter does an offered suggestions, one of which was the Grilled Assortment. When he returned we ordered the Grilled Assortment and the Shrimp & Garlic. The waiter then said hed have to go check because he thought maybe he had put in the last order for the grilled assortment that the chef would take for the night. This didnt make sense since the waiter explained that the dish consisted of an assortment or items that are normally included as a regular menu item. The waiter came back an said it was no longer available so we went with the stuffed trout. Glad we did because it was amazing! The trout is the only reason they get a 4 because the shrimp & garlic was just "ok" and for the price I expected better service.

My colleague and I ate at the bar at Legal Sea Foods on 7/11/17 and had a good experience. We ordered an appetizer and asked the bartender if our entree order can come out after we finished and it did. The food quality was great, the staff was friendly and the service was professional. We stayed at the adjacent hotel and we went to Legal to order take out on Sunday , 7/16/17, check # 476343. We placed our order with the hostess, Johnae, at about 9PM, paid for it at about 9:10PM and were told it would take a few more minutes. I decided to wait for it, while my colleague went back up to the hotel room. I watched countless entrees of crab legs, stuffed lobster and fish get expedited and go out of the kitchen. I received our order of trout and a sauteed mussel appetizer at 9:50PM. It seemed/felt like more expensive orders got expedited in front of our small to-go order. It seemed like the expediter, Craig, did not care one bit about our to-go order. Craig watched me sit there and wait for my order for over 45 mins. He started to pack up and get ready to leave at the end of his shift while I was till waiting to get our food. I was told by Johnae that the kitchen was behind. I took a look around and the dining room and the bar and they were half empty. I would hate to dine here when the place is packed. After getting our food, I relayed the problem to the manager, Cali, and she accommodated me. I hope this feedback helps in the way future to-go orders are handled at Legal Sea Foods, Atlanta.
