My advice would be not to try this restaurant on a special occasion like Valentines Day. I know that restaurants are especially crowded on special nights like Valentines Day, but this place was a mess! My boyfriend and I had 7:00 reservations, and did not get seated until 7:45 or close to 8:00. I expected to probably have a little wait, but we had to fight to even get up to the podium just to check in. I think I got elbowed in the stomach and had grown men cutting me in line. Not really the romantic dinner that I was looking for. They were shoving people in there like sardines. The décor of this restaurant is a little strange, and not really what I would expect for the price. It is open and noisy, but not too loud. The one thing that really bothered me was how smokey it was inside. We left smelling like a fish fry, good thing we werent going anywhere else! The food was great, but honestly not worth the price! Our waitress was very nice and gave us our space (which I really appreciate). Another negative was that they brought our appetizer and our entree at the same time, not what I expect for a $120 meal for 2. If they are going to charge like the are fine dining, then they need to get their check in under control, update the decor, and serve appetizers before the entrees. I have been to many of the other Buckhead Life restaurants and this was my least favorite. I think Bluepointe would be a better choice for seafood. If you dont mind waiting for 45 minutes for your reservation, ghetto rude people standing in line and cutting in front of you, being smashed into tables like sardines, and leaving smelling like a fish fry...then this is your place! I cant complain about the food, I ate every bite! Probably wont go back.

After having made reservation we were excited to have a special night away from the kid. Having arrived a little early for our reservation we kept seeing folks dressed for McDonalds (e.g. Hats, Baggy Pants, Torn Jeans, Sneakers, etc). The main dining room was pretty full of larger parties, but still had a semi upscale feel, but when our reservation time arrived we were taken to the BAR chairs, when I questioned the young hostess she said we have a booth in the new Pano section near the back. I agreed reluctantly when she said the main area was completely booked. When we arrived at the new booth there were several big screen TVs in the section playing Bloodsport Kickboxing. I asked to speak to manager who basically told me that it was the PRIDE of Pano to which I replied he should be ashamed. We were stuck!!! The meal only went down hill from there as the Clam Chowder had so many HUGE chunks of celery it over powered the soup and the Caesar salad was heavy handed on the pepper. We then wanted the daily special, but was then told they were out and we would have to choose again. So we took the Chefs Recommended Sea Bass Hong Kong Style and Crab cakes. The main course food was good, but not what we had wanted. During our meal we were constantly subjected to the McDonalds crowd walking by showing their underwear and hats and t shirts. They finally did change the Kickboxing to football, but come on if we had wanted this ambiance we wouldnt have had to make reservations for something of this low level caliber. If you are wanting a special meal or a nice romantic evening out THIS IS NOT A PLACE for that as the manager said they refuse to enforce a dress code and wont turn a patron away!!!!!!

I made a reservation for my 25th birthday last night and I was really disappointed. I called a head of time to insure that I did not have to have the entire party present in order to be seated and I was told that they did not all have to be present. Then when we get there we were told that the whole party had to be present which made the situation slightly annoying because everyone had to wait in the valet line which took a great amount of time. Then when we finally were seated my waiter cursed while he was speaking to us in front of my in-laws. Then he offered to tell us about the specials for the night but I asked him to make sure that they were all available beforehand and after I ordered one of the specials he later came back and said that they did not have it anymore. So I had ordered something else hoping it would be just as great and was disappointed. Then two of my guests had pieces of rice crisps in their waters and when we said something to him about it he replied "Well its just rice crisps and not fish" and then later added "but it wasnt suppose to be in there anyway". Then another one of my guests received there food literally 30 minutes after everyone else and another dish one of my guests ordered never even came. This whole experience was extremely aggravating especially because once we get our checks they added a 20% gratuity which was definitely not deserved.

I was really disappointed from my visit. I took a loved one here because they crave oysters. While the front door staff was nice and efficient, my waiter was sloppy and unprofessional. Anyone who eats oysters and those who serve them know that there is a special utensil needed used to engage in the consumption. Although this was the Atlanta Fish Market and they serve these delicacies on a regular basis we had to wait at least five minutes before we could get our servers attention to bring the oyster fork. We also ordered appetizers but no less than two minutes after the appetizers arrived the main course appeared at our table. At four star restaurants some of the ket waitstaff will tell you that it is important to time the arrival of the meal. And lastly, to make things worse the server for the tables in front and behind me was awesome going above and beyond and even stopping by frequently to check on how the folks were doing in between. I was happy that the food was fresh and well seasoned. I enjoyed swordfish for the first time. I was never interested in trying it before but I was thoroughly impressed at how it tasted. I give five stars to the chefs but one to my waiter. Thats why this review has three stars. I hope the next time i visit i get a better waiter.

My wife and I dined here on Monday night after she flew in from Phoenix. Atmosphere was very nice and there were a moderate amount of customers for a Monday night, usually a good sign. We started with margaritas which were spot on. Within a couple of minutes, we were brought a loaf of bread, fresh and hot from the oven. My wife had the oyster sampler appetizer and was very pleased. I had the sea bass (sauteed) with steamed broccoli and asiago potatoes. One word...YUM! Everything was cooked to perfection and the sea bass, although a little pricey ($29.95), was worth the $$! My wife had the halibut (hong kong style) with asparagus and a baked sweet potato and was equally well pleased. The service was atentive and we never lacked for anything. We absolutely wanted dessert, but were so full from the generous portions, we didnt have the room! We will definitely be going back and are excited to try Atlanta Fish Market for lunch. Total bill with tax and tip was just over $100, but I dont regret one penny! If you have never been here, I highly recommend you give them a try!
