I got the falafel sandwich; the old standby, (even though there was what I guess was a lot of sushi..? on the menu. Dont know why...) I asked for extra tahini because even though I love falafel, it can be quite dry sometimes. (and, oh yeah, I would drink tahini sauce from the bottle). Well... my sandwich came with very little, if any tahini in it. There was some dressing in bottles on all of the tables so I tried it. It was French dressing or 1,000 Island, or some nonsense so I asked for more tahini which was supplied to me with no fuss. Only problem is, the tahini tastes like nothing but watered down tahini paste. .. No tartness (from lemons or vinegar?) whatsoever. No spice flavors at all. (ie.. cumin?) I tried in vain to use salt to jazz it up a bit... then resorted to stuffing my grapeleaf into the sandwich to attempt to give it some zing. (Sad) So I should mention that I dont eat out a lot. Ive made falafel at home, and tahini sauce recipe found in Moosewood cookbook. Ive also had the good fortune of dining on falafel wraps at Nates Deli in Cleveland, and on the streets of Paris in the Jewish quarter. (so maybe Im spoiled?) ... Anyway.. so if this is what solid falafel sandwiches taste like at most falafel places in the U.S., Ill continue to make it at home.

It was here this ignorant American actually learned what a falafel was... For some reason I always grew up thinking a falafel was similar to a Greek gyro and contained meat. After receiving my falafel order and heading back to the library I was confused when I bit into the sandwich when there were just these fried dough balls inside. I headed back thinking I was given the wrong order, she remembered me and remembered me ordering a falafel which she proceeded to enlighten me on what it actually was. I told her I was expecting the meat stuff on the racks in the back and she quickly explained that was the shawarma. Despite my ignorance she replaced my half eaten sandwich at no cost and almost even refused my additional dollar to cover the cost difference. Very good people !! I apologize for my ignorance !! Well run and treat customers right. Sandwich was delicious might I add !!

Generous Portions. Great Prices. Delicious Food. Very kind couple that runs this place. The falafel is awesome and it is made fresh and fried when you order it. Other places in Atlanta also have tasty falafel, but they use the frozen discs. I could do that at home. The hummus and seaweed salad are amazing! They are generous with their sides and the pita bread is great. Its not the bland supermarket pita that Pita Place and Lawrences Cafe serve. The falafel plate is a great value.

Since when did Japanese people start selling Mediterranean food?????.......... More like Falafel PEASANT. .. . . . . .The Most Watered Down gross-Ness my tongue has ever tasted in my life. The garlic sauce tasted like white water, No flavor AT. ALL. Save all your money and go somewhere where they take pride in what they make to give to customers. I wanted to punt my food back into the building but I was in a rush, Utterly Disgusted. NEVER AGAIN.

Really delicious, non-greasy falafel. Whether you go with a falafel or mixed sandwich, youre in for a treat! The sushi and udon are pretty delicious too. It can get pretty crowded around lunch and dinner peaks, but if you have some time and dont feel claustrophobic, definitely try this pearl in Emory Village!

I dont know how or why its a sushi/shawarma/falafel place, but everything ive tried on both sides of the menu has been fantastic, and the prices are hard to beat. The service is outstanding, and theyre very nice people. Be prepared to wait ~5 to 10 minutes for your order, though, the place is in high demand.

they need to renew the place.... its too small, the chairs and tables should be replaced,.... and yeah... compared to other restaurants at emory village, i think they should really renew this place for customers... but the food is great...

Get their shawarma sandwich. I dont understand why they even bother to offer sushi and ramen (for profit? Lol) IMO the only good thing there is shawarma sandwich, but I wont complain about it since its crazy good and fairly cheap

The food is great and the hot sauce is incredible. The two things that I dont like are the place and the cleanliness. For the place, is too small and regarding cleanliness needs to be improved. Try the falafel sandwich.

Unique falafel - different from anything Ive ever tried before but in a great and delicious way. Its always hot and made fresh with a little crunch to it. Rotisserie chicken is amazing and sushi is good too.

I spent a couple weeks in Israel last year. I hadnt found hummus that compared until I tried Falafel King. Holy cow (sorry Moses) this was uh-maze-ing! Tried the falafel and sushi as well. All around great.

Best falafel I have ever had. sushi and ramen are excellent. I eat there just about every week. Only drawback is that if it is busy (which it is most days around lunch) it can be hard to find a seat.

The falafelest of kings. Shawarma is excellent, falafel sushi roll is a well executed fusion dish. Family owned, couple who runs it are very kind, and very affordable. Emory staple.

I think the place needed to disentangle from Middle Eastern food since the place offers Japanese food and has nothing to do with Medetranian foods.

Economical, delicious & relatively quick if you can avoid 12p-1p lunchtime rush. Highly recommend the mixed sandwich - falafel & shwarma on pita.

Food is surprisingly good and not too expensive. The mixed sandwich is very good. Very limited seating area, and the place always feels cramped.
