This is my first review of a restaurant ever!! And it had to be a bad one. My impression of Cincos.. Its horrible.. Where do I began. I went on a Friday night after Thanksgiving for a change of pace for the holidays.. The host staff is adequate, the bartender Tony was good, but between the bland, tasteless guac that tasted like a candlestick with a consistency of goo to a server serving me limes with his bare hands to servers eating food right out side the kitchen doors and then heading off to serve their diners w/o washing their hands, to other servers rubbing their eyes and nose and then garnishing drinks, to the MOD blowing bubbles with his gum and making popping noises as he watched the floor, to back to the hostesses whom I complained to who giggled as I told them about my experience and said, "Oh sorry maam.. their not supposed to be like that", their are supposed to use the tongs and a plate to serve you food.." well No Shyt Sherlock.. I dont need it explained to me by a hostess, I need it to be done properly.. When I called the MOD on his gum chewing and bubble blowing, he did apologize for it, but he shouldnt have to, he shouldnt be chewing BUBBLE gum on the floor. It looks like youre chewing cud and just looks bad and unprofessional. The hostesses just went on and giggled Well see what the giggles are like after I call Cobb County Health Dept to complain.. They didnt even have their little score card on display... Its a pretty well decorated restaurant but dont eat here unless you want a reason to get sick. Handwashing and not eating where guests can see is pretty basic stuff.. they should know better. Also another strange thing.. The hostess took my food order..at the bar!!! wth?? They say they are a Mexican restauant with attitude...Definitely a restaurant with an attitude of poor service and poor hygiene. I give this location another 24 months before they close down...

I came in on to have Sunday brunch with my aunt . We were seated right away and our waiter Cory came over. He asked if we were having brunch and mumbled something under his breath. He then took our drink orders and my aunt asked if there are mimosa. Then I said that sounds good. He told us the price for one and then he told us we could get unlimited until 3 pm for $12.99. He asked if we both wanted the $12.99 special and i said no just for her. After going to get our food and and our drinks coming after we return Cory then stood in the corner with the other waitress and was gossiping. His back was turned toward us and she kept making eye contact with me and mumbling. Little did Mr. Cory know i brought my aunt to brunch so i could tell her im pregnant. We were not trying to get over on nobody for free Champagne! I felt so uncomfortable and judge. i work in customer service and i know people always try to get over but i also know you cant judge a book by its cover. Not only that but Mr. Cory fail to tell us that they serve omelets and when we asked about it after seeing some else with it his answer was just a nod of his head and he walked away.

I cannot speak for the food because we left before trying it. I do not recommend going here. I went on a Friday, and from the moment I walked in, we asked to sit upstairs. We quickly found out it was too crowded and said we would be just fine downstairs. Rather than the polite way of doing things, which would be to ask for some ID, the woman instantly assumed I was below 21 (which I am not) and told me "I cannot sit there unless I am 21 anyways." Next, we sat down and when I went to order a margarita I already had my ID out and ready to be checked. My ID is still vertical even though I turned 21 almost a year ago; however, I was told I could not order any beverages because my ID is not horizontal. I have never known for this to be a problem in my life. I pointed to my birthday and picture as proof and another woman approached us with our waiter and started reitterating that they cannot serve alcohol to a vertical ID. Needless to say, we left and will never be back. If you are getting mexican in the area, Papasitos is the way to go! So much for trying something new...

The food is ok, for "fake" Mexican food. The salsa actually has some kick to it and the food is somewhat flavorful. Our big issue tonight was horrible service. When we tried to enter the restaurant, the manager was literally standing in front of the door, holding it closed while she talked to a construction worker who was working on the street outside the restaurant. When she saw we were waiting to get in the door, she didnt greet us, didnt smile, and instead she actually scowled at us as she let us in. Not a good start. Our waiter was pleasant but disappeared after bringing us our drinks. After waiting at least 15 minutes, we flagged down another waiter and he took our order. The same manager that scowled at us at the door, passed by us several times and ignored our attempts to get her attention. Once our order was placed, it took a long time to actually get our food and our waiter still didnt bring it to us. Overall, a disappointing experience and I dont think we will be back.

Late night on the town led us to Cinco where we opted for the second level seating because it would be "faster". The upper level is essentially a rooftop balcony with a bar, tables, fans and misters. It was a Saturday night and we had live music. The singer was great with with the crowd, probably didnt need the mic and speaker though. Ordered a pitcher of margaritas which seemed not quite mixed all the way since the flavoring was all on the bottom but we figured out a way. The food was excellent, my burrito was filled with a great mix and well worth the value. I got the ahi tuna appetizer which came as a serving of three which was split evenly between the group and enjoyed by all. We also got great queso with fresh chopped jalepenos on the side to go with the chips and salsa. For a late night hang out it was perfect for what we wanted.

We went here for the first time last week, and there was a corporate guest chef there... He was making the special -- mahi mahi tacos with black beans and rice. It was a surprising amount of mahi mahi for 12 bucks, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the sides were extremely good -- I liked the rice, and my date raved about the black beans. Unfortunately, the mahi mahi is not a standard menu item (I believe you can get tilapia tacos though.) I have to laugh at the reviewers stating that this is not "Mexican food." Duh! If youre looking for authentic Mexican, try Nuevo Laredo or The Bone Garden. I see that there are table service complaints, but we did not encounter that issue; we sat at the main bar, where the bartender served us our entrees along with our cocktails in a very quick and professional manner.
