Maybe I happened to head here on a bad day for them, but Im mystified by the raving reviews. First the room was FREEZING - even the servers agreed it was beyond acceptably cold. Secondly, the service was probably some of the least effective Ive had in Atlanta. Tepid, weak and pretty much useless. Third, the food was just badly excuted. When I order French Onion soup, I expect a crouton with cheese on top, I dont expect an ENTIRE bowl of cheese, with only a few spoonfuls of soup to be had. Roast chicken - really average. Davios and Hals are much better. The gravy/jus was strong but tasted a little like packet demi-glace. Dessert? Creme Brulee.. Curdled. So in short, who the hell is cooking this food? The french would be embarrassed for this is be used an example french cookery.... I dont think I could go back. Bad service, worse food and high prices.

I would come back just for cocktails and appetizers. Positives: excellent Kir Royal cocktail made not too sweet, excellent oysters served with a proper mignonette and cocktail sauce doctored with a dollop of horseradish, good selection of oysters available, correct cheese used for the raclette, and attentive service. We also appreciated the smaller, quieter room near the hostess stand, since the main room and patio were very loud. Negatives: raclette should at least be served with potatoes and cornichon, not with just bread. The cassoulet was not good, particularly the bean portion of the dish had no flavor and little sauce, and the scallop dish was also poorly done (glutinous potatoes, overcooked asparagus). We both left half our main courses untouched.

Bistro Niko is phenomenal in every respect. The bartenders are incredibly pleasant to chat with (and make a great Manhattan), the service is impeccable (Miguel was wonderful), and the food is to die for. My wife and I enjoyed what was quite literally one of the best meals Ive ever had this past weekend. We ordered a half dozen raw oysters, muscles (amazing!), she had the duck for an entree, and I had a 12 oz, expertly cooked rib-eye with compound butter, an apple tart, and a crème brûlée for dessert. We were still talking about how wonderful it was the following day. Needless to say, I cant wait for our next meal here! Well done, Bistro Niko!

Maybe I just caught them on a rare occasion, but the poor service by the waiter brought down what I would consider great ambiance and pretty good food. Everything from virtually mocking me for my date not being able to come, to snatching bottles from my hand. When asked what I wanted with my fries, I asked for ranch dressing, to which he answered that they dont carry ranch. Am I supposed to believe that a bistro that sells salads doesnt keep any ranch dressing. To emphasize, not that they were out, but that they dont keep any, and trust me, I tried to clear that up. Overall, I may give that restaurant another try some day, but no time soon

We did a birthday party with a very large party on a Friday night from 830 to 11. It was not at all busy and yet our serves was not attentive. He only took half the tables drink orders and then took ours after bring theirs. The food is not worth the money. Portions r small which I wouldnt have minded as much it the food was decent. We ordered the flatbread mushroom something and my husband got the salmon flatbread with meal order of burger with fries. It look like a kids meal. Burger was burnt. The reason I give it a 2 star cause the bartenders r awesome. WILL GO BACK FOR DRINKS!

Dined at Bistro Niko during Buckhead Restaurant week and ordered from their prix fixe menu. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. They have a great patio and if you are interested in this sort of thing, it is also a great spot to sight celebrities. The staff are very professional and extremely pleasant. I will definitely have to try the restaurant on a regular night to see if there is a difference. They do have valet parking for $2 (this does not include tip). Cliff Notes : great patio, good for date night & dinner with friends and family

This was going to be my go-to date night spot until recently. I liked this place because of its delicious Gluten-Free options; however, for folks with Celiac or gluten sensitivities, be careful. I ordered a hanger steak that is marked as GF on the menu, but found out about 30 minutes after ordering that it is marinated in soy sauce ahead of time. We also received a Charcuterie plate with toast (not on the side), even after indicating to the server (and the kitchen) that I have Celiac. Sadly, this was one of my favorites, but its just not worth the risk.

My experience here was excellent. The decor and lighting provide an intimate ambiance throughout the well thought out interior. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations and answered all of our questions on the different dishes. The food and drinks were again excellent, it wasnt until we had finished that we noticed the salt shaker on our table and just laughed given how unnecessary it was for our perfectly seasoned food. I highly recommend you try Bistro Niko at least once.

Extremely slow and poor service. Embarrassing since we had highly recommended this restaurant for our client dinner. Waiter was unattentive and more interested in flirting with female wait staff in restaurant than helping us. We literally had to flag him down several times to get service. Were frequent loyal customers of this restaurant but this turned us off. Will not go back. Too pricey of a restaurant for this type of service with so many other places that want our business.

Okay so my lamb came out not cooked right I sent it back to be recooked. They asked me if I wanted something else instead, I said yes Ill get this. Without telling me it would be extra charge. They charged me and didnt even discount anything for their poorly cooked meat..... I still had to pay for my entree .. Not fair in my opinion. But the food wasnt that great anyway. Although the view and outside is beautiful & bathrooms are clean. .. Maybe next time they will amaze me .

Our experience was amazing. We were highly pleased with the professional manners and unbelievable cuisine selections. Please try the thin pizza for appetizer; the beef bourguignon (kobe beef) and the profiteroles for dessert! Amazing food; great location and incredible customer service. They truly capture the value of the hearts and minds that defines Bistro Niko a successful (and delicious!) restaurant.

Love this open concept restaurant and bar in Atlanta. Food is delicious and the tables spaced out enough to make you really feel like youve got the utmost elbow room. Had the chicken coq a vin which is rich and flavorful, with a salad and a side of pomme frites. Flatbreads make fantastic appetizers. Didnt have enough room for dessert but the table devoured theirs! A huge plus for the Atlanta dining scene.
