[Time & Date of visit]: Various lunches and dinners [Party Size]: 2 [Location/Ambiance]: The plaza is shared with 3-4 other restaurants. Parking for lunch time is spacious, while dinner might be a little crowded but still easy to get a space. The building itself is shared with Sushi Nami, though the entrance for Volcano is on the west end of the building with alcove. Sushi Nami entrance is facing the street. The music throws off the setting as they are usually playing EDM / Trance / Lounge type. There various abstract paintings and designs through the restaurant and neon lighting here and there. I feel that the layout says lounge, but the vibe is way more chill than anything. [Service]: Lunch time seem more attentive, but during dinner service can be a little bit slow at times. Sometimes a slight miss more than I hit I think. Sushi is usually brought out when all orders are ready. I think this takes a while due to how they setup up the plating for the rolls. Sashimi is usually is set on a huge bowl of shredded ice to keep it cool. This is a pretty nice gesture. [Food Highlights]: Egg Drop Soup - usual Chinese food fare. Ginger salad - same here, just the usual as every where else. Though they are generous on the ginger dressing. Rainbow Roll - Pretty good, though sometimes the fish selection isnt uber fresh. Its still pretty solid. Special Crunch Roll - Not mind blowing, but still good. Havent had a bad one yet from them. Salmon - Sashimi - Served over a bowl of chipped ice. Sometimes its buttery fresh, sometimes you can taste that its been sitting in the fridge / freezer for a little bit. Thick cuts and served in a pair. Scallops - Sashimi - My bestest is fan of these, I still prefer mine seared. She gives it a meh. Its not as fresh as other places. Sesame Chicken w/ Fried Rice - Better than your usual chinese restaurant take out, but not overwhelming good nor great. Caterpillar Roll - As the same as the special crunch roll. I like it, but its not slap your mamma good. Just still pretty good. {Summary}: With the half off for sushi and sashimi (for dine in only) this is a great deal for that sushi fix with out breaking the bank. Some rolls are meh. Most sashimi have are served with two slices. If your on a budget but fiending for some sushi / sashimi, Volcano is the spot. Just dont go bringing your out of town friends to impress if their big on sushi.

I went here with a large group of people for lunch. When you walk in the atmosphere is perfect for an Asian restaurant. I was really excited because the sushi was half off. After looking at their menu I realized I would only come here again if they had half off sushi specials because their prices were so high. I ended up ordering the scorpion king roll and miso soup. The waitress brought soups out to the people in my group who ordered then. She never brought mine out so I had to track her down. Overall I didnt really care their miso soup. It wasnt hot and the seaweed was tough and chewy. Then when the food came and everyones was brought out except mine so I had to sit there for 5 minutes while everyone was eating. When it finally came out it was the wrong sushi plate. I had ordered the scorpion king roll but received the super volcano roll. I was really upset because I didnt want a deep fried roll, but I didnt want to cause a scene because everyone had already started eating and I didnt want to wait for them to make another roll. Overall the roll was pretty average. It did have a variety of texture which I liked, but it was definitely not worth $18.95(full price). The main reason I gave this place 3 stars was because of how expensive it is and because they completely screwed up my order.

This is the first time Ive eaten here and let me tell you. Ill be back because the food was awesome and the staff was even better. The atmosphere is cozy and the prices are just right. We had two appetizers.. the first was Crab Rangoon and the second was lettuce wraps. Now Ive had lettuce wraps at another place famous for their lettuce wraps but these were certainly better (my opinion). My dinner was the Singapore Noodles. Now you want to talk about a dish from HEAVEN! This dish was truly amazing. I love all types of food and this dish is now at the top of my list! Add to that, the adult beverage menu is loaded with options at a very reasonable price and the food is more than enough so I really appreciate the healthy portions. I highly encourage you to check them out. If you stop by, tell em Drew sent ya! Be Easy! Drew✌

Love, love, love! This is one of mine and fiances favorite go-to places! We have never had a bad meal and have been going there for about two years now. Love the sushi as well as their cooked dishes. Not only do we love the food and the fact the prices are very reasonable, we love the staff. They are so kind, quick, and personable. I have had business lunches here, as well as girls night dinner and wine. It is just a really neat, delicious place to have lunch or dinner! A must go!

Upon moving to Alpharetta, we wanted to find our go-to Chinese take out place. We had a place back home what was AWESOME. No one could compare. After trying all the surrounding options, we decided that Volcano was the best. Volcano has quick delivery and their the food is good. It is typical Chinese take out, but it is not bland. They give you a generous amount of food and offer sushi as well! The crab ragoons are delicious and the hot and sour soup is very good.

Great lunch specials. Always get the sushi and never dissatisfied except for the spider roll. 1.50 beers for lunch. However, the regular sushi roll I got at lunch today, the Ladybug (13.95) was ridiculously small. My 5 year old couldve eaten two of them. Only go here for the sushi lunch specials, or the fried rice. Regular rolls are ridiculously small and far over priced. Dropping to 3 stars because of only being a good value during lunch specials.

This place is decent because of the price tag. I needed a quick lunch so I ordered the Chicken Lettuce (wraps) and Hot and Sour Soup. Chicken Lettuce was a little greasy, Ive had better. I probably wont get the soup again. Hot and Sour Soup is supposed to have that tangy spicy zing the moment it hits your tongue. Mine took for me to have half of it to taste any of that. Super muted, but good for people who dont prefer spicy.

Consistently great food. Ive been here many times for the sushi lunch special which is a great deal. You select either 2 or 3 rolls and it comes with soup or salad. For regular meals the honey chicken and fried rice is awesome and the price is reasonable. They have a decent bar and drink menu covers most of the basics beer, wine and a few mixed drinks. The service here is also always wonderful and usually pretty quick.

Always excellent service and food. Prices are reasonable. This is on of my favorite places, because they have excellent sushi with lovely presentation, fantastic Chinese dishes (I highly recommend the Spicy Garlic Sauce with chicken), and wonderful Thai. I have never once had a complaint about food or service here, and on top of it they have an excellent full bar with a great sake and plum wine selection.
