This truly was a "Mixed bag". We started by ordering a bottle of Chardonnay. . .only to have "George", the waiter, return and say they were out of it. . .moved on to our second choice -- just "okay". My husband and I both ordered the "local tomato" salad. The plate was saucer-sized with essentially cherry tomatoes, a couple of green twigs, swimming in balsamic vinegar -- which did drown the taste of any tomatoes. Next we both requested the "on the menu" Asian red snapper. oops --they were out of snapper and would substitute tile fish instead -- fine. We ordered the smaller portion. Turns out the smaller portion REALLY is small -- arriving in a bread-plate-size plate. The fish was the size of a saucer-indent, the Asian vegetables were un-identifiable and there was an ice-cream-scoop size of dried white rice. The fish (what there was of it) was actually excellent!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. But wait -- the best is yet to come. . . The bill arrived and though the menu listed $18 for the small size Asian dish, the receipt said $22. When George finally came by, he actually began to argue with me that we both ordered and received the large portion. . .he who neither delivered the dish, nor cleared the plates was convinced that we were wrong and the kitchen would never send the small by mistake. After about 3 minutes of this embarrassing table-side discussion in a crowded restaurant, he said he would send the manager over. About 30 seconds later he came back apologizing and stating that we were right!! We ordered and received the small portion and thats what the receipt also charged us for. "Why the $22?", then, we asked. George "clarified" that there was a $4 up-charge for the change to tile fish -- and didnt he tell us that? "No!". Eventually, after another 2 minute discussion with George, the manager did waive the $8. We did enjoy an excellent flourless chocolate tort for dessert -- not on the house, I would add. Oh -- and did I mention, this was my husbands 70th birthday celebration. . . clearly more "downs" than "ups".

I have been to Osceola Bistro twice, each visit about a year apart. The first time I went everything was pretty great, orders came out in a timely matter and everyone enjoyed their food. We learned that their tiramisu is not tiramisu, I think they should call it different in their menu, like deconstructed tiramisu/canolli or something. The second time the food was not as good as the first time, but still good. It felt a little over priced for the quality. The second time we were there the service was pretty dismal. -It took a solid half hour between when we got our drinks and complimentary bread to when our soups came out. -Another half hour for when our meals came out after our soups. -Desserts took a good fifteen minutes to come after ordered. -Our drinks were empty for more than five minutes several times. -It was a chilly night and they had fired up an outdoor heater for us (which we greatly appreciated), they then promptly moved the heater to another table. The server was nice, but seemed to be having either a bad night or was just behind the curve, one of the bussers was more on top of our table and our needs than our server was. I dont know why the service was so bad, but a meal that should have been an hour long endeavor took almost 2 and a half hours and we only saw our server 3 times. He never asked how our food was, nor offered any explanation on why it was all so slow. First visit, a good 4.5 stars. Second visit a solid 1.5 stars. Average of 3 stars.

The food here was totally awesome. I have never written a review before. The chief, Christopher, came out to talk with me to accommodate my dietary needs. I cannot believe there is so little organic food in Vero, but Osceola Bistro has wonderful local and organic food. I have already made my reservation for Feb. 2016! This is a not to be missed dinning experience. I will say the wait staff could use some training (which usually affects my overall opinion), but the food was so wonderful that it trumped anything else.

I am at least a once a week diner here. Noticing lately that things have been hit or miss. Today I ordered the daily salad special with fish. The fish was raw. Not under cooked, it was raw. No exaggeration. So I ate about half of the salad before I noticed something moving. There were tiny neon green worms crawling all over the greens. This made me visibly sick. The staff apologized but, didnt offer me anything else to eat. This is beyond gross. NEVER AGAIN.

I stopped by this restaurant accidentally, we were looking initially for a different one that we discovered was closed for lunch. We loved the patio, its very welcome, european style. My husband had asparagus soup, and portabella sandwich and I got the special salad w salmon. When the food arrived, we were impressed. Everything was great, the food and the service was A1. Well go back again, to try other deliciously dishes.

What a terrible dining experience. The waiter was shockingly rude, and seemed obviously put out to serve us dinner and drinks. It made the whole experience uncomfortable, and ruined our celebratory dinner. Such a disappoint. Stay away if you are looking to have a nice dinner out.

This place is Veros best kept secret. I have been on a long term work assignment and have dined at many of the local restaurants. This was hands down the best meal so far. And there was no long wait like at the other restaurants!

Love the patio here! Food is from local sources as I understand it. Some dishes are good and some are just okay. Staff is friendly and informative but service can be relaxed

Delightful lunch and ambiance, though it was a bit cool, windy outside and doors were open. It was as refreshing as our meal. Thanks Osceola Bistro!
