I figure youve read some of the other reviewers comments about Luptons regarding the outside appearance or possibly the inside, too. You can bet this is not a shiny new deco glass building. A little worn, maybe like your favorite old pair of shoes? Inside is quaint with the radio controlled airplanes hanging from a cloudy sky painted ceiling. There are also a LOT of military and community oriented awards, commendations, photos and such on most every wall. The Lupton family has been very involved in their community, giving back for a lot of years. Now, about the food...Southern-style homecooking with plenty of choices. Start out with a decent selection of salad items. Or, as some of their better eaters do, just head right for the MEAT! Luptons knows how to barbeque, whether its ribs, chicken or pork. Today I had the ribs and they were juicy, fall off the bone good. The selection of veggies is guaranteed to please most everyone, too. Greens, beans, black beans, white and yellow rice, good ol mashed taters, gravy, and on and on and on... Theres even a sign that theyll make you some Fried Green Tomatoes on request. My next visit Im going to take them up on that offer! They have rolls of paper towels right there at your table, youll want them and need them. In here, it is just about mandatory to eat with your hands! Finish off with a piece of cake, pie, jello or get a scoop of ice cream. Yum. Youll be guaranteed to get enough to eat. And its a price bargain, too! If youve read my other reviews, you may be wondering where is her heavenly hottieness? Your fab fiancée? Well, I DO get out once and awhile without her, but I prefer not to. Actually, today I picked up her mother and took her out to lunch. Yeah, my future mother-in-law, and I willingly and knowingly chose to spend time with her??? I know, right? Truth be known, I love being able to spend time with the person responsible for bringing into being the best gift I could ever receive.

What a hidden gem!! Seen an interview with the owner on the news and decided to check it out. I live down the road and pass by here every day for years but wasnt sure what type of food is served. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious home style Southern cooking and the friendly staff. I was introduced to Mrs. Lupton and had the pleasure of spending time with her hearing her stories about how they became a long standing restaurant in the Temple Terrace area. Do not pass Luptons without stopping by, you will not regret it, you will not leave hungry either!! There is a reason this long standing family establishment has been around for decades. If you enjoy delicious Southern comfort food they do not disappoint!!! Catering is also available!! Be sure to say hello to Nancy and Ralph Lupton.

After writing a bad review on this resturant I decided to call the owner about this. I called him at 3:00 P.M. After speaking with the owner Ralph Lupton I was asked to meet him at the resturant at 5:30 P.M. He and his wife drove from Temple Terrace to Zephyrhills to meet with me and my wife. He was very concerned about my comments. We found that everything was fine on this visit. Any problems that had been on the 21st were cleared up. We found them to be very concerned about our experience and we feel that perhaps this was a one time happening. To say the least they were very fast to see to the matter and make sure we were happy. How many owners would work this fast to correct any misunderstanding. This sure makes us feel that this is a good place and they will make it right.

After finding this restaurant on the web, we set out to see if we could find a new favorite BBQ joint. Upon entering the restaurant, the foyer was decorated with some cool antiques. This was probably the best part of the trip. The dining room area was not overy clean (even older buildings can be kept clean). While visiting the buffet, there was a roach crawling very near the food containers on the bar. Against our better judgement, we still ate (avoiding the area of the uninvited guest). We sat down to enjoy our BBQ, but the majority of it was quite flavorless. My friend who was joining me, felt the urge to spit out his mouthful of BBQ rib. Not a good sign. All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant nor are we likely to ever return.

Food was mediocre at best. Eggs are those powder eggs. Should have realized that this place is not good as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. We were literally the only car there! Selection is small and mostly meats like sausage and bacon. Just not good. Oh and when you get your silverware out of the communal bucket it hangs in, make sure its clean. On my second trip up to the "buffett" I grabbed a new fork and it had dried food all over it. I laid it down, paid and left. First and last time here.

My wife and I were in town with a friend for Busch Gardens. We were all very hungry after the park and thought a buffet would be nice. 4 star rating seemed legit. But unfortunately aside from the friendly service and delicious sweet tea included with the buffett, everything was by far less than satisfactory. Most of the food was not fresh, cold, or undercooked. Definitely not worth the $12.79/person.

The severe is great the ladies are all so polite and fast!!! The food is hot, home cooked and delicious!! We came her for vacation and found this spot on Google highly rated... it was a great find and we ended up coming a few more times during our stay. Breakfast was great and so was dinner you should really give this place a try if you are in the area. Plus prices are low under 15 with tea included

Bad experience all the way around. (Temple terrace location) The food was old and when one of the employees told the manager he stated that he made the macaroni that morning, it was 5pm! They just keep stirring it instead of changing it out! 25 dollars down the drain. Never eating here again! The server was a very nice and professional girl. (The only positive thing about this experience)

If you like good ol soul food then this is the place for you to come. Everything is well seasoned and cooked just like Big Mamas dinner table on Sumday. The decor is modest to say the least. The wait staff very friendly and attentive they take good care of your party and keep checking to make sure all is wrll. I give Lupton"s. 5 stars for sure!

Absolutely amazing food! My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere! We enjoyed the ribs and pulled pork especially. Luptons even had a breakfast selection in the late afternoon! We would recommend this place to all! Support your local businesses! #ShopLocal

Worst food Ive ever eaten. The fried chicken was hard as can be. The ribs were latwr regurgitated. Staff was loud and obnoxious when not attending to anyone. I would rate it lower but one star is as low as I can go.

The food here is really good. The desserts are not that great but overall it was a good experience. Also for my fellow vets, they give a discount. They have a friendly staff and I left very full!
