To get five stars a restaurant should have good food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The Yummy house has horrid service, and a crowded atmosphere and I don’t know about the food since after waiting an hour they told us it would be another hour wait because the manager put our names in the wrong section of the waiting list. Fist the restaurant has woefully inadequate parking. People were parking in the bank next door so we got the last spot in front of the “Violators will be towed “ sign. My wife got out to put our name on the list and I searched for a parking in the shopping center across the street. When I finally got back 15 minutes later she said the told her 40 minutes. After 50 minutes we went in to see how much longer it would be and that is when we found out that we would have to wait 2 hours for a table when everyone else was waiting about an hour. The hostess showed us her chaotic notes on a sheet and pointed out that the manager had put our name off to the side and she didn’t notice it until a few minutes ago so we went to the end of the sheet behind 19 other parties. She saw nothing wrong with this logic. She then claimed that we weren’t there but I had held the beeper in my hand the whole time and it never went off. She was lying at that point since she never activated our beeber. We talked to the manager also but that did no good. We gave them the beeper back and left. So half star for the worst service I have ever experienced. The interior of the restaurant was very noisy and very crowded with tables close together. The foyer was jammed with people waiting for a table and it was difficult to move. The bar was small and had standing room only. The restaurant was noisy and crowded. So one half star for atmosphere. I was proud of our behavior as we were calm and never lost our temper. I felt humiliated and abused but we handed the beeper back and left without incident. We had been at a bowling tournament all day and were tired and hungry. We had to drive across town to get to the Yummy house which I will call the Crummy House from now on.

I no longer love this place . I wont be back to this place nor I will bring family or visitors to eat here. After last week incident and today, Im so done. The host Shirley seating was not a friendly system. Instead of de-escalating the situation she chose to escalate it. Like she almost likes doing that. Quan the Mngr wasnt helpful. Instead of saying Im sorry we will find you a table next, he just stood there. So I left. I called and spoke with Denise a 2nd mngr on site. I feel that someone might care enough to fix this place b4 it goes down hill. Does John Dhao the owner she gave me his name even going to be concerned what went on in his business? How terrible the customer service is going on at his restaurant? I give zero star for this place. Shirley was seating 3 - 4 people ahead of us those tables were easily seating 4 of us with a baby high chair. When I informed Quan he saw the tables & but instead he just agreed with her instead. We went to Lieng Bistro instead. The customer service there was way better. The food was awesome. Love this place way better. I will go to Ha Long Bay is another place in St Pete. This place has Dim-Sum is to die for. Its clean and the owners are super friendly. Go to Ha Long Bay in St Pete or Lieng Bistro on Bruce Be Down people.

We just left, upset & didnt eat. We drove 45min excited to eat. My cousin Kim and I loved this place. Every time she visits my aunt & my mom would take us here. Well not anymore. My mom was so upset of how we were treated last week & after today we will not be coming back. I just had to put this on Yelp so people know what could be expected when you go here. Their customer service is awful. My mom called and asked to speak to the manager again to express her feelings, but sounded like they just didnt care. Well needless to say, they lost our service and going forward we will no longer go eat at this place. We waited patiently for our table and Shirley the host with wavy black hair and glasses kept seating parties or 3-4 people ahead of us when those tables couldve fit us 4 easily with a high chair. When I asked her about it she said if we wanted to speak to a manager, but the manager Quan wasnt much help. They didnt even say well seat you next or anything. After we left, my mom called and spoke to another manager Denise on the phone. My mom asked for the owners name, John Dhao and she normally wouldnt have done this, I could hear she was upset. How could John de-escolate this situation? But I can let him know by posting this of whats going on in his restaurant.

My family and friends used to go to to Waters Ave.Yummy house, so we thought we try this Yummy house in Hillsborough, compare to the "hole in the wall" this Yummy house is big and clean, The food was good, the service not so good, my only main concern is why they dont serve rice with main dishes? why do they have to be sold separately?, We ordered our main dishes, when everything was on the table, we were wondering where is the rice? the server just stood there and say nothing. so I asked where is the rice? she said we have to order it separately, WTH?, If it is printed on the menu, we probably missed it, we were more focus on ordering the main dishes and also we assume the rice will always accompanied with our orders, I ordered Mongolian beef to go, I came home very disappointed, there is no rice,.. how the heck do you eat Mongolian Beef with no rice? it was my fault for not asking, but I wish the server will at least offer or say "do you want rice with that?, message to the management: For better service I suggest you train your servers to offer the rice when the diners dont ask for it... thank you.. and we might come back again..

Best place Ive eaten at in a long time!! The calamari was perfect, amazing house rice and the orange chicken was great-first place Ive been that uses the flavoring of actual mandarin oranges and includes them in the dish. Spicy yummy chicken was pretty great too. Only thing I can say is that Im not a fan of cilantro and they use it in a lot of their dishes but a customized order can take care of that. Waiter was awesome! She memorized orders correctly and was very polite, refilled our drinks the second we ran out. As far as the reviews of people that complain of long waits, try arriving right around 5 when they reopen for the evening. No crowds and you will be seated and served immediately. But at least when theres a big crowd you know that means the food is good! Best dining experience in recent memory, I recommend it to anyone looking for good quality Chinese with the option of ordering an authentic or exotic dish as opposed to a menu consisting only of an American adaptation of the food like most other Chinese places. Try this place you wont regret it!
