We used to visit the Dubliner on Henderson in Citrus Park quite frequently, and have really missed their Irish menu since that location closed. We dont get to South Tampa/SoHo often, so when we ended up in the area late Friday afternoon, we knew where we wanted to stop for drinks & dinner. First, the inside is very small! But it has an old, historic vibe that I love. The bathroom walls were heavily covered in graffiti (which I thought reminiscent of NYC punk bars like CBGB), however, the actual restroom facilities were spotless. As it wasnt dark yet, we decided to sit outside on the patio, and enjoy the pleasant weather. With only a few patrons sitting at the patio bar, and no one at any tables, we werent sure of the ordering protocol. After nearly 10 minutes of wondering if we needed to order at the bar, a cheery server came over to help us. Id forgotten the Dubliner only serves beer & wine - no liquor. But our waitress, Jamie, was incredibly helpful in suggesting something on tap that I would enjoy. And I loved my Angry Orchard draft ale (or was it cider?)! Choosing what to eat was more difficult! Although the Dubliner has a small & limited menu, we just couldnt decide.... So we agreed to split a couple of dishes. I ordered the Shepards Pie, and was NOT disappointed! Perfect balance of meat, vegetables, mashed potatoes & cheese. Hubs ordered the Irish Nachos, and we loved the use of waffle fries instead of tortilla chips. We also split a bowl of Bacon & Potato Soup with toast... I couldve made a meal of that deliciousness! Sooo good. Well definitely be back for more of the Dubliner! I have no idea if this is a true representation of an Irish bar, but I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. And we cant wait to try the fish & chips on a return visit... We saw a couple of plates delivered to a neighboring table before we left, and were stunned at the mountain of fried fish! Id also like to sit at the big, old bar inside, and experience that ambiance.

Like Nick, below, I also had a bad experience with the bouncers being complete idiots. I asked for the house wine on special and thought it would be like $5 -7 but it was $9, which the bartender didnt notify me and lead me to believe it was on some kind of special or not but still reasonable. Dont mind it being that much but would have liked to know beforehand rather than be surprised at the end. Also had to chase down the bartender and it wasnt even that busy. Smells bad in there.

If you dont mind the crumbing of the ceiling or walls this local watering hole has some awesome live music, good drinks and bartenders who are knowledgeable and friendly. Food was better then your average bar food and the all over feel of the bar was laid back fun for the average Joe. Not swamped with under age kidos who just want to bump and grind. More of the hole in the wall place, for the older person looking for a cool place to have a few beers.

Good place but can be pricey at times. I like the music they play and the staff are great. Good place to hang out and the pizzas are really nice!! I recommend this place and much better than macdintons down the road where you get some arrogant and rude bar staff.

Love this place. My sister Barbara recommended this place to me and now I tell all my friends about it. The staff was so friendly, the prices are pretty decent and overall a great experience.

There is mold in their beer so watch out before you take a sip. bad service: rude and negligent. Do not go here...Macdintons is better.

Had a beer, forgot to close my tab, they charge 100% of my bill as a gratuity. I support tipping well but that is not cool.
