Pretty women, reasonably priced drinks, a jukebox for anyones picking, and several flat screens, the Bad Monkey in Ybor City is a sure-fire place to go when hanging out with the guys. The food and drinks are excellent and the staff is incredibly welcoming and thankful. Youll notice the old-style long bar fully stocked at the right side upon entering and a flush of tables on the left. Theres a pile of Large Jenga blocks on a stump for fun along with a place to throw some darts. If your phone is low on battery, a small box in the bar to the far left will do it for a fee, of course, but it beats having to search for a cab or wandering about without a charged phone in the middle of Ybor late at night.

This place is so cool to hang out in Ybor City, Florida.....Its has 3 different areas: the main room when u first walk in with plenty of space to bring a group of friends with adult games, then a more intimate upstairs lounge area with couches and a pool table.....outside there is a big area for a private party with its own bar and bathroom along with its own entrance to come and go! The staff are very professional and GREAT personalities that are very entertaining...!!! They even offer food from a local restaurant, so I dont even have to leave their establishment!!!! Definitely would tell my friends to go out there.

I was in Tampa spending time with my daughter who lives in Hawaii. We stumbled upon The Bad Monkey after going to several other bars in the area. I was beginning to lose faith in the service in this area until we walked in to your bar. Beverly was attentive and friendly, it was very nice to get a drink without having to fight to get the bartenders attention. It was nice to see a business pay tribute to our Military Men and Women. These guys are the real heros. Thanks for a great Night Rose

Really cool bar with a unique theme for a 7th ave. Bar. They cater to first responders and military but dont let that fool you, all are welcome. The bar is clean and does not stink of smoke. The bath rooms, get this, they are actually clean! Plenty sitting areas and the bar top is nice! They also have some nice brews on tap and great specialty drinks. Nice bar to get away from the college drunks.

Enjoy this place each time Im in Ybor. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. They do allow smoking in the bar, but the doors are kept open so you hardly notice. Nice selection of bar games including shuffleboard and darts. They dont serve food, but there are plenty of other options that do.

Classiest bar in Ybor (until DJ comes in at night), great crowd, lots of veterans, cigar friendly, great spec war decorations awards flags slideshow etc..., cleanest bathrooms and establishment in Ybor, always stop for at least a drink or two, dog friendly, never seen any trouble in there.

Great local bar in Ybor. A lot of the servers and bar tenders end up here after their shifts. Cool environment. Good drink prices. Gets very crowded on weekends however, and can sometimes take a little while to get a drink. Would recommend it as a stop if you are bar hopping around Ybor.

Good bar in the middle of Ybor, good selection of beers, I love their decor and the fact that they have a pool table upstairs. Their outdoor area is nice to enjoy the weather. Their staff is always friendly and quick to serve even on the busiest of days.

Fothey this place. Waste of your time. The military theme is to get you in and forget the rest. Changes football games in midle of your game and horrible service. I will never go here again. Mia, pow, support your troopers bit dont do it here.

Veteran friendly place and wonderful setting. They really invested a lot into the bar and the decor is one of a kind. Great place for everyone but mostly, the only bar that makes vets feel like theyre at home with their brothers and sisters.

A Florida For Warriors Silkie hike I was on, stopped here and we were all shown so much respect and even given a free beer. What bar hands out beer to VETS, THIS BAR. Thank you to everyone there that day, or had a hand in making it happen.

This place is amazing! Great staff. The place is always very "polished" and I had many great times with great friends there and met some of the coolest people on the planet! If youre ever in the area I highly recommend visiting this place.

Pizza was tasty and huge, but pretty greasy. Ordered 8 huge pizzas and they only gave us 6 paper plates and a handful of napkins to bring back to our party, which was hanging out in the outdoor patio.

Favorite bar in Ybor! Staff is always super friendly and drinks are reasonably priced. Its in an awesome location and has giant Jenga, shuffle board, and other games for patrons to have a good time.
