Go anywhere in South Tampa but here.... I would have to say that I had always been a on and off fan of Soho Saloon. Its never been an over the top bar or an amazing place to hang out but its always had easy vibes and decent drink prices. Like any other night that I would visit, I walked to the bar on the right, right when I walked in, it always seems quick to grab drinks from this. So I ordered drinks and then headed to wait in their one stall restroom line with my girlfriends. I waited for a few minutes with my girlfriends and we all had to use the restroom desperately, after many many minutes we decided to start knocking on the door and two girls finally came out after what look like a selfie session. As I proceeded to walk in the restroom the security guard said dont you f****** do that to me, really dude did you just curse at a woman trying to use the restroom for no reason, and at first I wasnt even sure why or sure if he was even talking to me. Instead I just proceeded in to the restroom, to my surprise when I got out of the restroom the guy was spewing ghetto Ebonics left and right and was curse at me and tell me that I needed to leave the bar immediately and get the f*** out, ...what? He said that they do not allow more than one girl into the restroom at a time, ...what? Clearly he must not of been doing his job before as we waited for several minutes because someone was in the restroom. I dont remember them ever employing such a low level security staff. Needless to say but needed I walked out the bar amicably with my girlfriends and ask for the security manager. When he approached you could see he could care less about what was going on, it was absolutely a disgusting display of misplaced power. I couldnt believe that I was so discriminated against over using the restroom. I wasnt starting a fight, I didnt skip out of my bar tab and honestly my drink got left on the bar because I was getting removed from the bar for no reason and had even had a sip prior to. I didnt do anything but use the restroom and this bar decided that I needed to be kicked out because I had more than one girlfriend in the restroom with me. SERIOUSLY??? What was sad about the whole situation is I was with a group of 20 and this situation caused all of them to leave so that we can all be together at another place leaving many open drink tabs and non empty bottles. LASTLY, the head of security, was one of the least professional people I have ever met in a South Tampa bar, just straight ghetto trash. Take your money to someplace else like The Yard Of Ale or to Lodge, where their security is clean cut and very professional, and can articulate a sentence properly. I will never walk into this bar again because of this incident.

On Sunday 16, 2017 My Wife and I went to that place to drink a beer, smoke a cigarette, eat a little and have a good time. We are a regular couple 15+ years marriage with 2 kids and on ours early 40s I got an important phone call, so to hear the conversation better I step out and talk in the parking lot; when I came back I notice there was a gate near to our table and I attempt to open it. I notice it was tie down with Zip Ties, so I went around and enter using the main door. We were sitting outside, finishing our first beer and eating chicken wings when a very big and tall bouncer came to our table claiming that I can not do that and we have to cash out. He told to us that the "his" bouncer saw me jumping the fence and because of it we need to leave; and that had been of a problem for them resulting in lawsuits, so we need to leave or else... We could not believe ourselves, our escape little night was ruined by a misunderstanding and they did not gave us the chance to even try to proof that I did not Jump that fence to enter, they were extremely rude to me and my wife, bouncers star pouring to the scene and the situation turn really tense and hostility from then escalate towards Us.We demand to talk to the manager and reach to the video from cameras installed at the front door so I can prove I did not jump that fence. They instead told us that they do not have time for this and continued harassing us to leave. My wife was very scare and at that moment I realize that it would be impossible to attempt a civilized dialog with them. Those actions were an act of public humiliation to us, however it clearly shows what kind of people they are. Definitely we are not coming back to that place, I understand that in that bar a lot of juvenile people hang out there and some may attempt to do stupid stuff. That is not Our case and: Come on Man! To make that story up on me, harass patrons, and scare people like that is uncalled for. For More I try to wrap my mind about it I cant. So We do not want anything from you, I just Hope that clown of self called manager, who ruin our evening to be at least man enough and check on the video recording from the camera and once they realize that I was telling the truth which is: I DID NOT JUMP THAT FENCE! take a deep breath and put the nicest of faces for the people that put you there as bouncer as a reminding that you will go nowhere from there! Sundays included.

Absolutely awful. The "security" is worthless and always on a power trip. Me and a group of 5 friends were waiting in line on Saturday night when the "Head of Security" (I think his name was Shay or something similar) told us we needed to leave. He wouldnt give us any explanation and told us that it was private property and he could do whatever he wanted. One of my friends asked what was going on, and he said "you with them? Yeah? Then you need to get the f*** out of here too". He threatened to call the police on us, to which we said he should. After asking multiple times why we were being asked to leave, he just continued to tell us we needed to "get the f*** off of his property". I asked him multiple times if he owned the place, and each time he responded with multiple variations of "get the f*** out of here". The last straw was when he called me a c*** in front of my friends, other security guards, and people waiting in line. I will never return if thats how innocent, paying customers are treated, and Ill be sure to tell all of my friends the same thing. Absolutely pitiful.

The most rude and untrained security Ive ever seen. Gave the first bouncer two forms of picture ID (license and student ID) and he gave me a hard time. Handed me off to another guy who manhandled me by grabbing my arm to push me to another guy two feet away. This was at the beginning of the night as well and I was completely sober so I feel it was uncalled for. Totally unacceptable behavior. Next time Ill go across the street and spend my money there, where the bouncers arent assholes unless they are given an actual reason to be.
