5 years ago when I lived in the area I loved this place. I moved back 2 days ago and the first restaurant I wanted to go to was The Front Porch. I went with a friend who had never been there. We were sorely disappointed. 1. Multiple seats were open at the bar yet all were being saved for regulars. (We went in to watch Thursday night football) 2. The Bartender / Manager was friendly enough. I ordered a Bud Light draft. After waiting 5 mins I asked him again for the beer I had ordered ...evidently he had to get it from a different bar....if I had known I would have ordered something he had on tap at his bar. Beer arrived 10 minutes after ordering. 3. We finally found a non reserved table with a view of the game and the waitress who approached us was obviously irritated that we already had drinks. 4. My companion ordered a vodka and sweet tea cocktail. ..he got the cocktail and an unwanted sweet tea....and was charged for the tea. 5. We ordered a quesadilla that when it arrived was smaller than anything Taco Bell serves. (Photo attached....would you pay $7 for this??) Plus our lovely waitress who acted like she could not be bothered with us didnt even deliver a napkin or silverware with the food, nor did she ever check back to see how the food was. 6. At this point, as we were trying to enjoy the game our server and another attempted to move a table to accommodate a large party. As they moved the table they damn near ran directly into me (I was distracted watching the game). Their reply? "Oops ... sorry 7. At this point I am just completely ticked. Half way through the second quarter of the game we get the check. ( we would have stayed and drank the entire game) As the server left the check she dropped it on the table while mumbling "thanks" with her back already half way turned away. She received a .05 cent tip only because I didnt have exact change. I used to be a server and bartender myself and this is the first time I have EVER stiffed a server. Needless to say I will not go back

It started with me calling during the day and asking if reservations were needed. When I told them I was coming around 7:30 p.m. I was advised that reservations were recommended, so I made them. While making them the gentleman asked if I wanted to sit inside or outside. I told him inside, since it was cold out. "Absolutely" was the reply. When we got there, we were told they had nothing inside and that we had to sit outside, which we did. They sat us next to 2 heaters, 1 which was not on. When asked if they could turn the other heater on (twice by the way), we were told she believed it was broken but she will check with the manager. Nobody ever came out to check. We then ordered our drinks, nothing special, pre-made sangria and a beer. After 10 minutes and no drinks, we were told that the bar was "backed up". After another 10 minutes I went to the bar to buy the drinks myself. There were 2 bartenders actively taking new orders from walk up patrons. I ordered my drink and still made it out to our table before our drinks came. When the manager brought our salads out, he stated, "Salad, with balsamic". I politely told him nobody at our table ordered balsamic. He set the plate down in front of my friend, said nothing, turned around and walked off. After the salads were corrected by our server it took 30 minutes to get our meals. What a frustrating experience. We will never go there again, and by the way they treat their customers, Im sure they could care less.

Standing outside at 6 on a Friday after my party of 5 just got turned away because two large reservations are coming in an hour from now. Im staring at 3 empty tables (that are spread out) with 4 seats. Wasnt offered a wait time or to sit at the bar, strictly turned away. This wasnt the work of some new hostess or untrained waitress; the greeter spoke directly with the manager. Isnt your job to get as many paying customers into your restaurant as possible? Isnt repeat business your business model? I will never give this place my business again, which is a shame because Ive ranted and raved about their wonderful happy hour, good quality and service in the past as I live down the street. Im thoroughly disappointed. Best part: a table of two and a table of three were immediately seated behind us. Thanks Front Porch, Ill find a new happy hour spot

Summary: Rediculously long wait, terrible service. We called at 620 to ask about a table for six people. They told us to come at 730. We arrived at 728. We were not seated until 835. Our waiter told us that there were only three orders of meat loaf left. My dad ordered one. They ran out of all of their specials, and our waitor told us that they also ran out of the meatloaf. He was also not quick AT ALL to bring our drinks, 25 minutes or so. We got our food around 935, I got my pot roast after 940. I ordered garlic bread to go with my meal. I didnt get it until after 10, after we were all done, and waiting for the check. The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait or the poor service. I will never come back to this place, nor will I recommend it to any of my friends or family.

Nice ambiance, excellent service, reasonable prices. However, some cautions. More a bar than a restaurant, and more good bar food than dinner food. Very limited wine selection, and not great choices. Wide choice of good beers. The food is good, and fresh, but not inspired by any means. And the food takes forever to come out, which they dont warn you about!! We would have ordered two appetizers. After waiting at least half hour for our entrees if not more, they brought very good, heavily buttered corn bread to tide us over, then we waited more. Really the wait is too long. They told us the kitchen is very small. I would go for drinks and appetizers, but not so much for dinner.

Well, what can I say. We came from Orlando to go to the Rob Thomas concert. We stumbled upon Front Porch Grille & Bar. I cant tell you how great of an experience that was. If youre going to a concert or anything at Florida Fairgrounds make this your place to spend some time before you go. Garrett the bartender was astonishing as he knew we were first time visitors. He was patient and explained everything to us like we were regulars. Happy hour specials for Saturday afternoon including appetizers, single Wells and Wine are unbelievable. This should be a stop for everyone who wants a unique place with terrific food! We will go back again!!

Had a big party and they went above and beyond the call of duty. Amazing food, drinks and service. The staff and manager is incredible. Will be back. Put your appetizer and meal in at once bc their kitchen is small, so it takes longer. Just deal with it..the wait, ambiance and quality is worth it. I recommend making a reservation as well. The awesome surroundings and delicious food is unique. Tuna nachos, chevre, quesadilla, eggplant parm were all awesome..perfectly prepared. Everyone at my table who got burgers ate every last morsel and kept purring about the fries. Their house cabernet is delicious.
