New management relatively recently and thus no substitutes of any kind (including how you want your food cooked), small menu with nothing special, go there when the trees bloom and you can share dinner with the bees, everything here you can get elsewhere with far better quality. Most locals wont go there because they already know where the better and cheaper places are. And yes I live within 2 miles of this place.

Weve been here a couple times. Its a shame it gets overshadowed by the other restaurant in this location. The wait staff is always in high spirits and happy to see you. I havent had much of their food, but I wish they had some more vegetarian options. All I can order is fries or salad, which is sad. I love the location & its a great little hideaway!

I was always impressed with the Grouper. I hadnt been here in a bit... we went to watch the sun set and eat dinner.. the grouper wasnt fresh and everything is served on plastic... I wont be back. (THE 3 STAR RATING IS FOR THE SERVICE - SHE WAS DECENT)

Hooks is a good place to get off your boat and stop for a quick bite and beverage. If you have kids, leave them at the restaurant’s pool that is right in front of where your out side table is , so you can enjoy an uninterrupted meal and drink.

Use to love the place, the food, and the view. Until I observed to cook lick his fingers and start serving my food without washing his hands or putting gloves on. I will be back, but only for the view.

I can definately tell there is new management. Food just is not as fresh as it used to be and tasted very fishy. I dont like eating off disposable plates when im paying $25+ for an entree.

Great little local dive bar. Inexpensive drinks and great views. For half the price as sunset across the street. I would like the fish and chips to be crispier. Overall great place.

Food is decent and consistent, view is great of the inter coastal canal and passing boats. Service is not great. There is never enough staff, always a wait for your food.
