They need to refocus on the basics of the restaurant business. I came for the second time and like the first time, the food was good. But for a second time I had to ask for CLEAN cups and utensils. It only takes a second to wipe these things down. I also had to ask them to remake my food because it was only warm by the time it reached my table. The kitchen does a great job getting the food out, so I can only assume the waitstaff was a little slow in picking it up. Go back to basics and figure out how to get piping hot food to customer tables and how to give them clean utensils. As Im sitting here writing this, i noticed the coffee urn they sat in the table that is also dirty. It really makes you wonder how cleanliness is viewed here. Otherwise, friendly people, nice dining area and good food.

First Watch is.... acceptable. Pro: coffee is on-point, loaded like jet fuel and bottomless Pro: food is mostly decent quality Con: pre-grilled/packaged chicken in the omelets etc. Pro: price are fair, but... Con: portions are ok, but arent "Im hungover, starving, and ready to hate myself after this devouring this meal"-sized portions. In summary, First Watch is great if youre looking for a moderately healthy breakfast/brunch spot, but its no greasy spoon kinda diner. Head over to Mamas Kitchen off S. Dale Mabry if youre looking to clog your arteries with monstrous breakfast plates that are just as cheap as they are yum-diddly-um-ly - freakishly fast service too.

So they just went through a menu change and had renamed some of the items. I ordered what I was used to calling the item and walked down to First Watch Downtown to pick it up. Made the mistake of not checking the bag before I left. When I got back to my apartment, they gave me the wrong item. I walked back down and Jess(the manager) gave me the right item and comped my next meal there. She is such a sweet lady and is one of the reasons I continuely return. This place does so many orders/tables on the weekend its expected that one time or another your order might get mixed up. Have patience and let that awesome manager Jess take care of you, were all human.

Always love the First watch breakfast options. I only wish this and other locations would be bigger since they typically fill up very quickly. However, recent additions to a mobile scheduling app are definitely a plus to get in line when you know youre on your way. This particular location doesnt have the best parking options since its in downtown, so give yourself some extra time to park and walk up (check the underground garage off Ashley for quick/easy paid parking if youre not in the mood for spot hunting). Inside is very well kept and service is good and on par with other locations. Overall a good place to go

I like it that restaurants will now consider minorities when they put their menu together. Because with all of the kale, carrot and quinoa (please look up the proper pronunciation for that last one), my traditional tastes are definitely in the minority. I was pleased to see eggs and bacon right up top. The Artisanal toast was a little busy, but the breakfast wasnt bad. Service was hip but friendly. The real win was that my lovely wife could eat the kind of bizarre healthy food that she likes and that I want her to enjoy, and I could eat the traditional fare that I like and she likes for me to enjoy.

Some of the best breakfast food you will find in all of tampa. I would not go as far as to say to avoid it on Sunday morning but they are definitely busy in Sundays. I always order their eggs Benedict Florentine. I am a world traveler and have had eggs Benedict everywhere so I would not say it is my favorite, but their hollandaise is on point. I have had a few overdone eggs here and there, but that is expected considering the volatile nature of a poached egg. The service is always great here and the food is always up to par so it is definitely worth the stop if you have not been here before.

First Watch is basically an American diner, like Dennys or Rams Horn, but with slightly better quality, breakfast and Lynch only hours, and a local flair. The staff at this location is exceptional. They have almost zero options for vegans (not even oatmeal), but they will do their best to accommodate and be friendly about it. I had their veggie burger, which, oddly, does have a vegan patty, but they do not have any vegan bread. Nonetheless, it wasnt bad, even for breakfast. I wouldnt recommend First Watch for vegans but people who will eat anything will probably like it.

Im amazed at all the positive reviews - we tried it on a Sunday morning, my wifes salad was well past best-by date (wilted, elderly and almost devoid of dressing), my eggs benedict had a dearth of hollandaise, eggs too undercooked (and Im not fussy about eggs), and potatoes that tasted extremely elderly despite the seasoning (the ham was fresh and tasty). The service was slow and surly, and the checkout extremely rude. Overall, it gave the impression of being a regional version of Dennys, but with actually worse food delivered (better menu, so more illusion).

If youre looking to have a nice breakfast with some pals, I recommend coming here. The place looks a bit like an old farmhouse. The food was great, but pretty heavy. Each dish was nearly 1000 calories, but they did have a few more healthy options for the health conscious. There was no kids menu from what I checked, but that doesnt mean you cant bring them there. Service was nice, pricing was moderate (8$ was an average dish) and the place was kept pretty clean and nice. This place is great if you have people to go with and want a nice old style place.

The food is great, as with all of the other First Watch locations I have been to. However, my last two visits to this location have been to pick up a to-go. One time I could visibly see my order sitting on the counter ready, but had to wait over 15 minutes to be cashed out. The other occasion I called 25 minutes in advance and had to wait another 15 minutes once I arrived for it to be finished. Would only eat here again if I have time to sit down.

Our paddling club comes here after every practice on Saturdays and it is really good quality breakfast food. They have healthy options and then some that are not so healthy but one thing is for sure, there is something here to please all. They cook the eggs anyway you want and are perfectionists when it comes to cooking eggs. They are very consistent week in and week out. Ive never had a bad meal here. An excellent breakfast location.

So, thus is the first place that I came across. I walked in and got sat right away. Coffee came quickly with a carafe- amazing! First thing I saw was the BLT Eggs Benedict. Sold. It has 2 eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato, arugula, hollandaise on a piece of ciabatta bread. Its delicious! If I end up moving here, this will be a regular breakfast spot. Price is reasonable, food is great, service is pleasant. Its a no brainer.
