I informed them that on my new diet of no bread or rice (or sugar) I can not eat rice. I asked if instead of the rice that comes standard with their meals, such as Mongolian Beef, I could have a little bit more of the vegetables that also come with it. It seemed like a fair request--a few more vegetables in place of the rice I could not eat, so I would not be hungry after the meal. The manager--Whitney--said no. She said that I would receive the rice whether I wanted it or not. It was up to me if I did not want to eat it. She said, "no substitutions" and suggested I buy a side of vegetables for two or three dollars more. She did not speak in a rude tone, but she showed absolutely no concern for the customer. In fact, she seemed to think I was doing something wrong by suggesting an alternative, like I was trying to get over on them. Whitneys decision and her indifference to the dietary needs of one customer has cost Bamboo Express a family of regular customers--probably several hundred dollars a year. I will add that the other restaurants I frequent have been accommodating. For example, Village Inn suggested a side of fruit instead of the pancakes that were standard with the meal. Chipotle serves more vegetables when I decline rice and beans in their bowl dish. Etc.

I work down the road and looked up local places for good Chinese take out. I read previous reviews here and thought to give it a try. Definitely a good choice! I just ordered chicken fried rice since I know not many people can screw it up to the point where I wont eat it. Upon getting my order at home I saw a healthy heap of goodness! Equal attention to all ingredients in a nice large box which ended up only costing $4.37. They could easily charge $8 to $10 for the amount of food they served. I have lunch for the next day! Ill definitely be returning to sample other items from their menu. First impression was a good one, fast and friendly. There is a nice clean dinning area in the lobby if you chose to stay and eat your meal there. Worth trying. much better then the crap they serve in the malls.

This place used to be a good place to get Chinese food, but not anymore. I ordered from bamboo yesterday and the sushi did not taste fresh and it was cold and soggy. Also the dumplings tasted like they over did it with the salt and the sauce has a lot of salt in it too. Plus I had to wait over an hour for my food. The lady who was on the phone with me when I ordered cut me off a few times and had to call back because it took over an hour to get my food, when it used to be good, I only had to wait 30 to 40 minutes. Until things get the way it used to be at bamboo, I am not ordering from them anymore. I will order my Chinese good else where for now on! Tokyo is a better place to order at for the sushi.

Ordered the home style tofu, ordered specifically with no vegetables (allergy related). Recieved my meal with all vegetables and only a few pieces of tofu. Tried to call and inform the restaurant of this problem and they were unwilling to help. Also rude as well. We ordered crab Rangoon as well (8 piece) and the wonton wrappers still have a noodle consistency. Either undercooked or really old. Theres also little to no crab or cream cheese inside. The only thing good from my order was the $1 miso soup which is a shame because I spent $20 at this restaurant. Wont be returning and this issue is still unsolved.

Normally, id rate higher because I order from this place at like 5 times a month and they usually have great customer service but this time around Im assuming they have new employees because I called to add a 2-liter to my order and was told to hold without a mute or an actual hold for 10 minutes just to hear the person who worked front, have full blown conversations with guys and talk bad about people that are handicapped. I work at a restuarant so i understand some customers like having small talk but it is your job to tell them you have to get back to work and handle other customers.

Just last night I called and ordered sweet n sour chicken. My food was delivered promptly. However there was an extra ingredient. There was a fly fried in my chicken. I took pictures. I called this morning, the place was closed after they delivered my food, to let them know. I get yelled at because I threw the food away. First of all, aint no way Ill be ever eating here again so there is no need to replace it, but a liar I am not nor would I even wait my time. I just wanted to inform them of the issue. Aint my fault my appetite was ruined.

Trust me guys, all they offer is cheap food for low price. You order a chicken item you hardly find any chicken, its just filled with veggies and the rice is not freshly prepared. Better go for a more authentic chinese restuarant. This is just a rip off making people fools advertising low prices. I ordered schezuan chicken and as you can see in the picture all it has got is just veggies and sauce. I found a total of 4 chicken pieces.

Wanna great deal and good food?? Try this place! The other postings werent lying...the price, quantity, and quality is well worth your time and hunger! Waaaayyyyy more than one person can eat and very good...and the price was more than a bargain! I had steamed dumplings, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. Ive had better (but not on delivery!) of course, but for quantity and price, the taste was absolutely wonderful! Enjoy!!

Ive been a fan of these folks for a loooooong time. Their food is so tasty! My favorite is the Hunan Chicken with fried rice. Another favorite is the House Special Lo Mein. Their seafood is never overcooked, always soft and savory. If your mom & grandma are like mine who dont eat much, hey, up to three can eat with the size of their servings. Or if youre like me, you dont share... heheheh. Give it a try, its good.

The worst Chinese restaurant Ive ever had in my life...They are extremely dirty, for instance the guy that was making the food was picking his nose and also the cashier blew his nose and did not borther to even wash his hand. The food was disgusting. Had the shrimp fried rice and chicken wings and I regretted getting it. Was not able to finish my food. Thats disappointing. Last but least wrose customer experience.

I eat here regularly, I also got some food last night, the same night as the City of Tampa Water boil alert. After eating their food I became violently ill, stomach cramps, sharp stabbing in my stomach, diahrea, sweats. This place did not boil their water before using it in their food. They apparently do not care about the well being of their customers. I will NEVER eat there again!

The food was pretty awful. Nothing was fresh. It was tantamount to going to a buffet. They scooped food they was apparently made hours earlier, and plopped it into these styrofoam boxes. It was just gross. Plentiful, but gross. Its been a while since Ive had bad Chinese food, so this was disappointing. Its the kind of experience that makes people afraid to try ethnic food.
