Its not that good.... everyone says Farm Burger is great, for me it wasnt. I have concluded that farm burger might be a case where people read fancy ingredients, see reviews on yelp or google and convince themselves this the best thing ever when its not, the meal we had there was unfortunately nasty... Free range and grass fed beef is a good thing and so is aged beef (for steaks anyway). The execution of our meal however, was not good. The texture of the burger was really weird, the flavor of the meat rendered it inedible, the bun wasnt toasted, the order was incorrect, the fries were soggy, and everything in general was excessively greasy. That said the service was reasonable and timely and other people seem to love it, I personally dont see myself going back. This review is not intended to hurt feelings or come across malicious, I dont like being negative but this meal was unsuccessful in nearly every facet in my opinion.

First off, the service was terrific -- despite not having any descriptions for their creative condiments and toppings, they were very friendly and willing to answer questions. One server in particular was very accomodating for our grumpy 2 yo who didnt want to wait in the long line because you cant sit at a table till you ordered. The meat was good, but we were overall pretty disappointed with our food. You have to pay to add cheese, bacon, and other normal toppings. Not only was the $2 bacon burned and pretty much ruined the burger, but the other toppings were underwhelming. I had no heat whatsoever from the fresh jalapeños, their fb sauce and smoked paprika mayo were both pretty bland. Overall of the many gourmet burger joints Ive been to, this one wasnt anything special. Id choose Five Guys over this place.

If youre in Asheville you definitely need to stop by Farm Burger! Burgers, fries and onion rings were fenominal!!! Just as important, the staff was awesome. It was very busy, as Im sure is usually the case, but when i got up to the counter to place my order (for 6 of us!) the girl behind the counter took her time with me, made some great suggestions and amid all the chatter she was focused on me and getting the order correct; no rushing, no talking to anyone else; very refreshing. Also, have to note that one of the chefs saw my son peeking his head into the kitchen and the chef showed him how it all went down in the kitchen (as crazy as it was in there, chef took a few moments to entertain a 2 yo). What a cool vibe, friendly staff and great (yes, great) burgers.

This is easily one of the best burgers Ive ever had. It has great taste and almost too many different possible condiments. Farm burger cam get crowded during lunch rush, but once you order, food is served quickly. The portions are pretty good, but it can get expensive with more toppings. The lunch deal is great, with a burger and fries starting at $8. Decent selection of beer and all-you-can-drink Abita root beer straight from the tap. The atmosphere is rustic and laid back, and definitely favors the younger crowd without ostracizing older patrons. The staff are friendly, but always in a hurry to go somewhere or do something. It makes you feel bad to stop and ask for something, even though theyre extremely nice and timely. I cant wait to go back!

Waited in line 40 minutes to place order, standing is not atmosphere just tiring. They took names on each order but when it finally came out no names on tickets for most of our group. Remember exactly what you ordered so you can tell the servers cause they dont have a clue. They were incompetent but "nice" bless their hearts! First bite was terrible others said it was the strange marinade so I kept eating the rest was poor/strange beef taste. Cows must have smoked "grass" instead of eating eat! Sweetened tea was barely sweet is Asheville in the south? Fries were the best thing we ordered. Then to top off our meal it gave several of us indigestion. Save your time and money just a con, well you know what else is on the farm!

Im giving this place 5 Stars because our experience was really good & I have no complaints. Ate here with my husband and both of our burgers were perfectly cooked to how we ordered them. I like medium rare and it was red and juicy but not bloody. Perfect! We like fresh ingredients and flavorful foods and thats what you get here. The fries tasted like our order was made when we ordered it and not sitting around. Attentive staff. Open seating as well as private tables so enough room to accommodate the long line of customers. The restaurant is very clean, the staff cleans immediately when someone leaves. Nice place for a casual quick lunch. I would rerun here to feed my burger cravings.

The food was good and the staff was decent. While we enjoyed the food we witnessed the worst situation one could that brought my sister to literal tears. Two young girls bought a homeless man a meal and left he waited patiently for his food and when he received it he sat down and before he could even open the bag his food was in he was asked to leave. It was a disgusting thing to see it was freezing outside. Weve never been so pleased and dissapointed in humanity in less then a 15 minute time period. Its things like this that destroy faith in humanity and also makes an establishment loose what would of been loyal customers.

While I see potential in the menu, I found both burgers ordered by my husband and I to be rather flavorless. In addition, they were overcooked and dry. The salsa Verde on the number 6 could use more kick to balance with the creamy Sunny side up egg and the idea of chow chow with the goat cheese on the number 5 sounded fantastic, but was also lacking the flavor my palate desired. $3 for three onion rings is an insane markup and really could use something more like an organic horseradish sauce to compliment the beer batter. On a positive note, the food did arrive quickly and the server was pleasant.

As a visitor, I was lured in by the multitude of offerings and the gluten free fare, but, as others have commented, they were out of all gluten free options except a lettuce wrapped burger. The wrapped burger wasnt wrapped in anything but two half dollar lettuce leaves. The chicken burger was interesting, but lacked flavor. The $4.75 root beer float was dispense only 2/3 full, and the bar and wait staff were completely indifferent to guests. This restaurant, with mediocre food and an uninterested wait staff, is incensing. :-(

The food was good, but that was about it. I was shocked that a staff member asked us (my husband & I) to move from the only clean 4 top table to a bar seating near the cold doorway (30 degree temps), to make room for other diners. Her other suggestion was to sit with other diners at another 6 top table with a family of 4. So rude!!! Why cant other diners patiently wait for a clean table like my husband & I did?? The servers at this establishment need to sharpen their hospitality skills!! We will NOT return!

Came here for lunch the place is really cool and the food is good. The food could be great but there are a couple of things that would need to be changed. First both my wife and my burgers were over done. We both ordered medium well and got well and then some. Second my wifes burger was really small. Third they didnt put the cheese on my burger. Fourth and final thing is that the sweet tea was so watered down a northerner must have made it. However the place was good and Id be willing to give it another go.
