The food was really good the little bit we got. It was really hard for us to order because we barely saw our waiter, Ziad. We had to ask several other waiters to get us more drinks or more coals for our hookah. I guess because we were young, he thought he really didnt have to do a good job as our waiter. I had a big group with me, and the people in our group decided not to order food because he took forever to bring out our food and drinks. We would order and then get our food and drinks an hour later. Then the waiter proceeded to yell at us from the patio to the parking lot because we didnt leave him a big tip. I dont know who trained this guy or where he learned to be a waiter but if I was the manager, I would strongly consider retraining or getting rid of that waiter. My friends and I will be going to a different location because of this experience. Ive never had this problem at the Riverview/Brandon location. - Amanda

Food is good. Customer service is terrible. My friends and I like going in the evening for dinner and to smoke hookah. The last 4 visits, it has been humid and hot (typical Florida weather). WE GOT SO BIT UP BY MOSQUITOS. I told my waitress, 30 min later i told another waitress, they did nothing about it. Finally I went to the bar to ask the manager to please turn the torches on that have the bug repellent. He looked at me so odd, and if I was requesting something so unusual. I told him out of courtesy they should always be lit in this weather, where its a mosquito fest and that they shouldnt have to wait till all their outside customers get bit up. Anyways he gave us spray, they refilled the torches about 15 min later. By then we were so bit up and annoyed we decided to leave. This has happened repeatedly, will be looking for a new hookah place.

The meal was great I had Shrimp Mykonos. It was great and you will like it is you like a olive oil based creamy lemon wine scauce. My friends both had the saganaki (it was alright more cognac than cheese, but still good) served with pita which makes it even better. One of my friends also head the spanakopita it looked amazing. The waitress we had was also really nice and attentive. The atmosphere was good, we sat outside and surprisingly there were not that many bugs. The complementary bread is fantastic and my table just kept on getting it (which leads into my next comment). The only thing I didnt like was the wait, it took so long to get our food. Whether that be because it was 8pm, our seating, or whatever. Overall it was a nice experience, and Id go back with friends.

Acropolis is a festive Greek restaurant with expansive menu, bar, and hookah. Their late-night dining options are great and we really wanted to like this place, however, their food is just not good. Most recently we tried the lamb chops, which were their special for $21 or $22. Nothing about this meal was good, rotten tomatoes in the salad, wrong side items served with the meal, and the lamb itself was awful. They were not even chops, it was some kind of poorly seasoned shoulder meat. When we attempted to tell the waitress that we were not satisfied with the food, she just smiled and nodded. Maybe a good place to smoke hookah or have a drink, but based on our experience I could not recommend eating there.

My family and I had dinner at Acropolis today and had horribe service. We called a head of time for a reservation and was told a 5 min wait, which turned into a 15. Once seated we had no waiter for about another 15 until my mother spoke up and addressed the hostess and asked for our waiter . Meanwhile the table next to us had a smaller party than ours and was addressed by two waitresses after we had already been waiting. The only reason to go back is because the food was pretty good but not worth the wait. Also they tend to throw napkins at their guests as a form of entertainment which I believe to be a waste of money and trees.

Have eaten here many times. But today the service was terrible. Saw our waitressa total of 5 times. Once to take order, once to drop off appetizer, once to drop off main and once for get ice tea which I had to ask for and once for the bill. I saw all the other waitresses more! Wanted to split the salad and wrap, was told would cost and extra $2, which we have no problem with, but was also told there is more food. Nope same size! Also asked for tomatoes on the side, werrors in the wrap so hubby had to get them all out of my half. If we go back we will not accept the waitress that we got today.

A pretty good Greek food location. They have all the foods you would expect, but I was less than impressed with the actual taste and flavors (personal preference). Service was also a bit slower than I expect for the area, but it tends to vary based on crowds and days. On busy days, theres lots of activities, such as the classic "Opa!" where they throw around napkins, so kids typically enjoy that. Parking is adequate in this plaza, but can fill up quick for the area on busy evenings or weekends. Not a bad place if youre in the mood for it.

Ive been to both this and Brandon acropolis and most recently Brandon a week ago . I only order spinach dip and Greek salad in Brandon it was all fantastic and correct. I come back here after a year and the spinach dip is just a pile of spinach with one artichoke heart and a little topping. Plus the server has the voice of "like oh my gosh!!!" Very immature. Advice? GO TO BRANDON! They offered me to get something else or to add some Parmesan cheese and microwave it. Wow! And I feel rushed to get out No go!

The bouncer at this place broke my friends ID in half and then told him he would have to wait an hour for a police officer to verify its authenticity. Then, the day after, I realized I had left my credit card there and went back to get it. They had charged me for a drink that I didnt order, then tried to rationalize it by saying there is a $10 minimum drink order on Wednesday nights. It seems like you could get some good food here and have a fun time, but as for me, Ill take my business elsewhere.

Oh my Lamb!!! This place is epic. life changing. First off walked up to the place shortly after finding easy parking, and a very nice server opene the door for me. Awesome already. Thennanreturn server Amanda didnt even wait 15 seconds before asking to start me off with a drink. Then continued to order a gyro and thats where my life changed. I will never go anywhere else in the world for a gyro! And the fries with fetta!! Are you kidding? 5 star seriously. Mind blowing and life changing

Exceptionally good food and service. I have to shake my head at the few negative reviews on this place. Weve eaten at Acropolis several times and have always gotten great service as well as very delicious food. Their menu is vast and varied and we have a while to go before trying all of it, however everything we have tried in the last three visits was great! Portions are generous and well worth the prices for what you get. Well be back and will bring friends with us to enjoy.
