Ive been to the place three times, each time worse than the last. There is no chime on the door or bell on the counter. Since the employees are goofing around in the kitchen, they have no way of knowing if there is a customer waiting for them. When they do finally get around to poking their head out of the window to see a line with three people in it, they act as if doing their job is some sort of inconvenience. The food and coffee is incredibly average in quality and certainly not worth the wait, the rudeness, and the price. Todays conversation after waiting a minute for service. "How big is your wrap" [rings me up for one gyro wrap] "No, how big is it?" "It is pita." "Yes, but how big is the pita. Is it a big pita? [gesture with hands] a small pita? [gesture with hands]" "It is pita." "Yes, but how big?" "Pita is all the same size. All over the world." "Okay, Ill have a chicken" [rings up chicken in addition to the gyro that he already rang up--stares at me] "No, just the chicken" "Alright, alright, just relax" Unless you are an undergrad with no friends and no car, Id avoid this place.

I absolutely love this cafe shop. The owner is a very nice and friendly man, he usually mans the front counter. Ive visited this establishment many times over the last 6 years and have never had a bad experience. The teas selection is phenomenal as well as are the various cafe style food dishes. My favorite is probably the grilled cheese. It goes really well with a Tzatziki like style spice blend that the owner once offered me to try with the grilled cheese at his recommendation (after having bought the pita sandwich a dozen or so times). My favorite tea is probably the mint tea, unsweetened (hot or cold). I really loved the hot saffron tea that used to be offered, but it was discontinued several years ago because of high saffron prices making it too cost inefficient for sale as a tea flavoring, but that just shows good business sense, at least. This is one of my favorite local shops by the FSU campus. I definitely recommend this place.

This gets five stars in its class for the following: 1- respectfully perpetuating a tradition started in 1921 (yep -the building dates to 1910 - but the sweet shop moniker has been affixed since Warren G. Harding was inaugurated as our 29th president!) 2 - offers great indoor AND outdoor ambiance. The outdoor terrace is PERFECT. Eight two-top, under covered awning - looking over the FSU south gate @ W Jefferson & Gray. 3 - music/poetry/etc venue with great stage area. 4. Comfortable sofas and lounge chairs as great alternatives to the booths lining the walls and the tables and chairs throughout. 5 - great and diverse menu offering. An overall sampling of the FSU of yore and lore! ( with solid wifi coverage too boot)!

Coffee is alright, muffins are shamelessly Costco brand. Spent $5 on a root beer float and got an anemic scoop of distinctly Great Value brand vanilla ice cream. Atmosphere is alright and proximity to college are definitely this places biggest draws. Wifi password is literally "nooutsidefoodordrink," which is both funny and reinforces the college vibe (see attached photos). Overall, a satisfactory place to stop by if you are close and dont want to support the on-campus stores out of some moral obligation, like me.

The Manger has a bad temper/Anger Problems best to NOT work there...He will tell you one thing and lead to another which will confuse you & causes him to overreact in other words get angry & yell at you for his mistake for example ..He will tell you one day "you dont have to wear the gloves for the food" but next day yell at you for not having them on...and most of the time he does NOT wear gloves making the food.. The only thing thats REAL cooked food there is the Eggs ..

5 stars isnt enough to rate, The Sweet Shop, 10/10. The owner and all the staffers are amazing people- friendly. quick service, and a large selection of various menu items. The food & drinks here are priced well and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming. Whether youre an undergrad, grad, or just passing through, youll definitely want to stop by and give it a go :)

A nice place to hang out in between classes if you are a student. There is plenty of seating, a keyboard, a chess board, and free WiFi. The outside seating would be nice if it werent for a somewhat busy 3-way stop right outside. The food and coffee is definitely overpriced for what it is. It would be much better if the prices were reasonable.

I love this place! Their food and coffee and boba tea are very very good, and the owner is very nice (if you arent a complete jerk). I hope this place stays a long time; I come here and do homework or study all the time! Try the caprese croissant or the witchs brew latte.

It is truly a place for FSU students with a lot of student activities going on in the space. The food is very nice but the panini isnt what I expect it to be in terms of shape and flavor, and the milkshake we got was not very good neither.

The "vintage Starbucks" since 1920s with wide selection menu items, spacious with autographs on the walls, a piano and chess board to enjoy...conveniently located across the road from the dorms...loved it and the history!

Some people love this place, but it always seems really slow and overpriced. The staff always seem more interested in talking to each other than taking orders or making drinks, which can be frustrating.

Super quiet and cozy coffee shop. It can get pretty busy, but its never horrible. Also super awesome leather couches that you pretty much sink into. I really like the chia lattes

Its very pricy for what the quality of the food/drink is, but its not bad. Great atmosphere to study - many booths/tables, so its spacious, and very quiet and cozy.

I was double charged and initially done with the place but the manager was very kind and made up for it. It certainly beats the on-campus Starbucks by a fair bit.

The coffee and food arent necessarily cheap but the atmosphere is nice. The place is really big so theres always lots of seating. The wifi is also pretty fast!

I have no regrets breaking my diet here! The desserts are 100% worth it. Great place to study. Go have a smoothie while catching up on psychology homework.

Nice to have an option for late night coffee shop time. Definitely a student locale. Chai is all powdered and kind of pricey for what you get.

Takes forever to get service, staff was less than friendly and spent their time hanging out in the kitchen instead of helping customers.
