7pm visit, and I wasnt in the mood for a quad lavender mocha - so opted for a large "surprise me" hot chai which hit the spot. Friendly barista briefed me a bit on this "New" Black Dog. New to me, Ive just been to lazy to make my way over here until now. Im a big fan of THE Black Dog Cafe and have enjoyed it for years. When this one opened up, I wasnt all too enthused about it. After all, theres only one Black Dog, right? No. There are two. I didnt think it possible, but for all the obvious differences with this location - one still picks up on the common identity evident in both. Beer/wine (although I didnt see much wine, so that part of the license is in absentia) flows here, as does Lucky Goats cold brew. Lighting is notably different - I recall it brighter but forget if its due to lighter walls or different lighting altogether. Ill definitely come back during the day to sit down and conduct my standard "seance" to commune with the establishment - but this brief stop on my way to pick up young uns from the rock climbing class on Monday nights was just what I needed. One thing is for sure. With Cascades Park expanding to fully flank The Art Parks southern border - Black Dog (and every one of these establishments) better get ready to scale their businesses, because I forecast a serious business boom here. Just hope that adequate parking is part over the growth.

(Warning: young adult visitors from Tampa Bay in for the weekend) I love how it FEELS LIKE A LITTLE HOUSE complete with tables in the little porch and yard. their Saturday evening ‘live music’ events CAN BE QUITE INTIMATE DUE TO THE SMALL SPACE- which was awesome! MY ICED LATTE – mildly creamy, not watery, and only lightly sweet- Refreshing! THEIR NITRO BREW WAS ALSO GREAT- very smooth with almost no hint of bitterness- Great for sipping. Black Dog also offers a handful of pastries and an Ice Cream COOLER FULL OF GOURMET POPSICLES.

Used to go to another coffee place in the morning. It was good, but started going to Black Dog because it was a little closer to where I worked. THEIR coffee is even better. Atmosphere is cheery, too, and so are the staff. The staff in my experience goes out of their way to make the service amicable and fast. Definitely the place for coffee in town. Try the specialty lattes!

Every time I come in, the baristas are so warm and welcoming. The back porch snd front patio areas are serene and well kept. This location has a certain calm that the one at Lake Ella doesnt possess. Since its opened, its been my favorite coffee shop in town.
