Used to really love this place. Portions are small but I always came back at least twice a week because I like the flavor of the foods and its the only quality vegan restaurant besides Soul Vegetarian (which never fails to disappoint by the way. Check them out! They have a lovely staff and give you your moneys worth). But lately theyve been trying to charge me extra for different things that they didnt used to before.... Like a to-go box... Are you kidding me? I ended up throwing my food away because I literally didnt have the change to get one. They just lost a recurrant customer. They just walked over that point where the price isnt even worth it for the meal. Ill take my 7$ to Chipotle for a veggie bowl or Soul Vegetarian for one of their amazing platters. Forget this place.

This place was fantastic! I have the veggie ruben and my husband (who is not vegetarian) had the falafel sandwich. Both of them were delicious. The basil lemonade might be the best thing Ive consumed in weeks. I could not stop thinking about it after we left (so much so that I had to attempt to make my own two days later). We were just stopping through, but if we lived in Tallahassee we would be here all the time. The people were friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and nutricious, the location is convenient and theyre environmental practices are responsible (though they dont make you feel uncomfortable about it). OH! Also, the iced coffee is served with coffee ice cubes. Amazing. Will definitely make this our Tallahassee stop.

The food here is okay but the attitude of that one lady (I think shes the owner) there SUCKS!!! I came in on my cellphone and I put the call on hold, placed the phone face down on the counter and proceeded to order. The crabby lady then points like a Neanderthal to a 2 inch sign next to the register that reads, "no cellphone use". I said, Oh. Okay, its not to my ear. She said shell be able to assist me once I come off the phone completely. Whoa! Excuse me???? The nerve of this woman telling me what to do on my lunch break AHHHHHHHHHH!!! I was on an important long distance call. How dare her. I never went back.

This is not about the quality of food....This is about CUSTOMER SERVICE...I have ONE HOUR for lunch. In the past I would call and give my order for take-out to be picked up at a specific time. I was then told that they would not take an order in advance. They suggested calling TEN Minutes in advance. Today, I was told to call back later or come in to order because they had a line in front of them that took precedence. Hmmmmm.... now I do not want to go at all. And unfortunately for me, I have no other choices within driving distance from work and back. Not happy....

This place is great. great food, great atmosphere, great service, and great value. (that conehanded weirdo in the parking lot likes to lick the tires on my car, but i dont think hes actually affiliated with the restaurant and hes harmless enough). my recommendation is: dont come here if you dont like food. especially really good food. the tempeh reuben=110%. they have a fun, relaxed atmosphere and are fast, cheap, and delicious; also, my car tires always look good after I eat there.

Today 4/15/16 was my first try here. I absolutely loved it. I got the tempeh Reuben (GF) and hummus + veggies with a lemonade. Everything was PERFECT,, no complaints. The cashier was very sweet and helpful and understood my concern for items being strictly GF (which other people dont, they get frustrated)because Im severely allergic to wheat/gluten. This places decor and setting is so enjoyable, the food is unbelievably great. They just earned a loyal customer!

Tallahassee is known mostly for its Universities and as the capital of Florida. This is not the kind town one would expect to have a decent vegan restaurant. Sweet Pea surprises as not just a vegan restaurant in Tallahassee, but as one of the best vegan restaurants you can find anywhere. In this tough town, Sweet Pea keeps customers coming in every day. Even if you are not vegan, you are sure to be able to find many items on the menu that will satisfy.

The service here sucks and the food is mediocre at best, even for vegan food; you get the choice of imitation burger or mexican. Yawn. Youll also be nickled and dimed harder than youve ever been in your life as well, 35 cents for a to-go box? Your money would be better spent literally anywhere else that offers something vegan, and the only reason this isnt one star is because I have to give them some credit for being a vegan restaurant.

I am not a vegan, but I love food and will try most anything. When a vegan friend visited, I knew I finally needed to give Sweet Pea Cafe a shot with him. We both loved it. I had a Reuben that was fresh, refreshing, and filling. It had a nice balance of textures and flavors. The addition of poutine to my fries wasnt worth the trouble though. We both loved it. I plan on coming back again, even with friends who do eat meat.

Love their tempeh reuben. It is absolutely amazing. Cost is a little higher and for less food than we are usually comfortable spending, but still absolutely worth a visit, especially for vegans, since everything on the menu is vegan! Part of why they tend toward higher prices for less is because of their locally grown efforts. Be sure to bring a to-go box with you, because they do not supply free to-go boxes.

I stopped here on my way to Orlando instead of stopping at my usual stop at Panera and THANK GOODNESS I did. I got the buffalo tofu sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and an expresso. It was really busy so get here early! I stopped in around 12:30. The sweet potato fries werent my favorite but everything else was fantastic. Will definitely be making this my new stop!

Oh we loved Sweet Pea Cafe! The staff was so nice and the food we ordered was great! We had our little fur baby with us so we sat outside at the picnic tables and one of the staff members brought a bowl of water for him without even asking. I really appreciate gestures like that. The food was wonderful! Cant wait to go back through Tallahassee so we can stop in.

SPC is probably my favorite restaurant in all of Tally. When you eat here, you get delicious & healthy food, always all-local produce and made from scratch. The Tempeh Reuben is a must and you are seriously missing out if you dont get whatever baked good thats available. Awesome specials, adorable atmosphere and lovely service, always.

I came across this jewel a couple of years ago. I have family in Tallahassee, so every time Im in town I make it my duty to stop by this place. Im NEVER disappointed. For someone who has a gluten intolerance, Ive NEVER had a reaction to the food. Ive tried just about everything on the menu. I just love the atmosphere and staff.

Dont go during busy hours. It seems to be the excuse for rude behavior. The owner, I found, does not know how to address customers under pressure. I wish I never ran across her, it makes it hard to want to go back. If you just want great food and poor treatment this is the place for you.
