The pool event for 4/21/16 was AWFUL. The pool was NOT even open (which is the ONLY reason I RSVP) and the promoter didnt even send out a change of plans email. He looked at me crazy when I tried to ask him why my homeboy couldnt come in ( he had a ticket too) because he was dressed in the attire the event had stated and had no clue of the change. I dont blame the guy for recess switching things up on him, but dont talk to your guest that took time out of their way to come crazy. PT 2 once we got in ( my homeboy went home) the place was blah, the security acted like they were FBI agents and the mood was off. Do better recess.

I reserved a VIP booth last night for my birthday and after less than an hour (and $300 worth of bottles later) I was informed by the bottle girls that they had resold my booth and that I was going to be kicked out. The VIP manager refused to speak with me all night. The GM did an okay job at trying to resolve the situation but the fact of the matter is I spent over $300 to reserve a booth for the night and after less than an hour I was informed that I had to leave. It was completely unprofessional, bottle service was slow, service was poor, my money was not refunded, and I will never come back to this club again.

Regular here almost every weekend, i definitly like Recess and always convincing people to come by. Also get the occasional VIP. Only reason im not giving a 5 star is because last time i got VIP it took them almost an hour to bring out my order. There were no chasers nor cups brought out untill 20 minutes after that. I honestly didint even want my order anymore because it was so late in the night and people bought regular beverages already.

Very good view but mediocre music. I appreciate a music which one can enjoy on its own, but this is not a type of music they play here at Recess. unless you have a partner to slow dance with. I would say if they have more different genres of music is much better. because this place has the potential to offer more than just slow hip hop and rap that you wont enjoy it unless you wanna grind on someone.

Security and event staff seem nice enough, but there is extremely poor communication going on with the actual event coordinating. No information or indication on the 4th of July event, that men had to be on the list in order to get inside. Seems like a nice enough location, but there are too many other places around the area to really recommend going here for big holidays to have fun.

Music could be better but it is an all around pretty exciting club. Friday nights are best because the pool is covered up and theres more dance floor. Its $5 for ladies 21 and up before 12am. Dont park in lots, you WILL get towed. Street parking is best or Sidebar.

Very nice looking, but horrible service. Changed the entire theme and price of the event, no email blast, no radio announcement, nothing. Left to change, I literally live 5 minutes away, came back and the cover went up $15 bucks. For a corny techno DJ? No thanks.

Pretty nice rooftop club. The floor is above a swimming pool. From a DJs perspective the music was mediocre but the lighting made up for it. Really cool experience.
