Unfortunately, had a pretty negative experience with Noodle. We have ordered from here countless times, but I guess thats gotta come to an end now because we had such an unnecessarily negative experience. Let me start this by saying that the service industry can be difficult -- often poor, unlivable pay and here in the US we set up this odd system where one has to "perform" to get a livable wage via tips. Yeah -- its silly, but its part of our social contract here in the good ol US of A. I got the feeling that the restaurant was under-staffed for a busy, summer, Saturday night. All of this to say -- yup -- I get that they employees may have been having a tough night and I know that the service industry comes with its own, unique struggles. Yet, folks have to make a choice on how they are going to respond in a sucky situation. Be jerks to customers who just want to grab some food and go about their life or work for change within their organization or go elsewhere. Heres what happened -- called first to attempt to order and was placed on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Once I figured out online ordering, we arrived to pick up our food had the most odd, negative interaction with two employees. First, we went to the area indicated at the bar for takeout and no one spoke with us (or looked at us) for about 10 minutes. When an employee came over, my husband greeted him with your customary, polite, non-robot interaction of "hey, hows it going?" Spoiler alert: the dude may have been a robot because the dude just straight up ignored him -- it was super creepy and confusing. He pretended as if we were invisible while he gathered up whatever he was getting (who knows what robots need to function effectively -- a screwdriver? some lugnuts?), while we continued to try to talk to him, because we were just in disbelief that he was being so rude and downright weird as. Our experiment in communication failed and he just walked away. At this point, we are like "we are never going to get our food in this joint," so I go over to the hostess who was texting on her phone. We let her know that we have been waiting, no one has said anything to us, and we just want to grab our takeout. After rolling her eyes, she states that there is only one person on takeout and that they are realllllly busy. I retort, with some sort of statement that amounts to - "welp, all anyone had to say was we will be with you in a second! Sorry for the wait. But so far your customer service has royally sucked." Girlfriend just keeps going about her business. More time elapses, the aforementioned takeout-responsible employee emerges and she is fine and polite in a normal way. We leave wondering what in the world is going on with the Noodle employees. The world may never know. Was it just folks who are rude? Was their rudeness racially-motivated? Do they just not have great training? Your guess is as good as mine!

This should be no stars. This restaurant has one of the worst waiters on earth who has convinced me Noodle is not interested in good customer service for all its patrons. I have been going to Noodle for years and have been satisfied. It was my go to spot. Just yesterday I made the decision to never return there after receiving terrible service from a waiter who offered terrible service one month prior. On the first instance, the waiter literally ran after me on my way out of the restaurant to demand a higher tip. After I asked to speak to a manager, the same waiter stood there yelling about his moneys while the other person just said, "Sorry" nothing else. This was not only unprofessional, but embarrassing as I had brought friends with me to try one of my favorite restaurants. Yesterday, I brought someone else to eat there, and as usual we went to sit down as EVERY time Ive come there for years, Im told to find a seat of my choice instead of waiting at the door. Lo ans behold, the same terrible waiter from before comes behind us and says, "In the future, youll need to wait at the door and allow the waiter to select your seat." Again, I asked to speak to a manager, told them the behavior of the waiter was terrible and got the response, "Sorry." So I informed the manager that would be my last time eating there and she said nothing. This time ill stick to it and wont return. If you happen to visit this restaurant and see a tall, white waiter with glasses, a beard and a terrible attitude, and you get terrible service, hes probably the same one and should be fired beforw the Better Business Bureau shuts this place down due to complaints about him alone.

1st time dining at Noodle. A Colleague and I stopped in at Noodle Decatur after an MBA event. We were taken to our seats of choice not long after we arrived, thats about the only positive point of this experience. Once we were seated, we ordered an app and two entrees. Two other parties arrived ten minutes later, were seated and ordered. Both parties received their entrees before any of our food came out, When my colleague flagged down the waitress about the issue, she informed us that sometimes the kitchen wont cook the food when the order comes in and later orders get cooked first. At this point we are both in disbelief, because that means that our ticket would have been sitting for 10 mins unaddressed. We ask to speak to the manager who informs us that the other tables got their food first because there meals were steamed and ours had to be cooked, which wasnt the case, noodles with chicken im sure has to cooked. I really tried to be patient, but the excuses were too much. I totally get it, i worked in service in high school so i understand its not always your fault, but no one was even willing to provide any solutions. Its almost like they were condoning unacceptable service. I asked the waitress for a box and my check, at this point we waited for 35 mins on something that should have taken 15, I then witnessed her walk in the back and rant to another waitress. The last straw for me was her attitude at the end, she was so rude. This was a terrible experience, after i gotten great reviews that didnt scrape the edge of expectation. Hopefully something changes.

Have been eating at this place for years and have frequented the college park restaurant multiple times. Today we had a small child visiting with a very distinct eating habit. We asked if the child could bring her meal in with her when we walked in and was told that it was fine. Then, after we were seated and after ordering tea, we were told that wed have to leave because they didnt allow other food in the restaurant. The waiter then chased me out the door for the price of the tea that I didnt drink. Im embarrassed for the waiter and the manager. They are clearly overwhelmed by the positions that it appears they are unqualified to have. Noodle must have a terrible time attracting good employees because I’d fire the waiter just for his attitude alone. For the cost of a happy meal, he ran off a $100 ticket and allowed his employer to have to deal with a review like this. Nobody likes assholes. We will never be back. Ive steered plenty of people to this place and can easily steer them away. Food isnt good enough to tolerate this petty crap. As you read the other reviews (negative) theres a pretty common thread....terrible wait staff and management. If the owners tolerate then they are to blame.
