I was pulled in by the smell of the food while walking around the area. I came back later for a celebration dinner and the experience there wasnt the best. There were a few occasions where the service could have been better (I would expect bread to come with the meal and not have to ask. The server seemed a little overwhelmed but did his best to keep up with all the larger parties and my table, so maybe bring on another waiter or waitress to help with the busy nights) but I understand that it was very busy and stuff happens, so I wouldnt consider that a complaint. The sangria was not the best but good. However the food there makes up for everything else. The eggplant parmiggiana was absolutely amazing, and my meat eating guest loved it as well because it was very filling and satisfying. The portions were just right and the chicken Alfredo looked amazing and I had the pasta al forno which was out of this world. To top it off the limoncello cake was great to. The vibe was excellent and I would recommend eating outside so you can be apart of this amazing city

My daughter & I were really looking forward to eating at this place. We parked very close by to walk around downtown & eat here before heading back to our hotel. I regret not previously reading their reviews. It was just HORRIBLE! The food, experience, staff etc. The entire staff it seemed- comes out to smoke very close to the tables. They "hang" around like a bunch of high school kids; They were in & out several times. The food was so bad & bland I took 3 bites & had to return my meal. They offered something else, but I was not about to wait another 45 MINUTES! My waitress looked like she had partied hard the night before, her hair was greasy & gross. I mentioned other reviews to my waitress and they didnt seem to bother her. She seemed to have an excuse for all of the complaints. The manager didnt seem to care much either. He didnt charge me for my meal and that was it. He didnt seem to want to know the core of the problems in order to fix issues at hand. DO NOT COME WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY HERE!

I stopped here for lunch on a Monday in late Feb. 2017. I was hungry for pizza and I thought this cute Italian cafe would do the trick. Immediately the waitress said they are out of pizza and lasagna. Well I needed a break from sightseeing, so I stayed. The message board on the sidewalk, which said to "ask your waitress about our Italian Street Pizzas," advertised a daily special, a meatball sandwich. I ordered that sandwich, and a salad. The sandwich was on flatbread to my surprise, and while it was fairly tasty, it didnt look like meatballs. It didnt look and feel like a meatball sandwich. The side salad was good and seemed fresh. The waitress was very young and inexperienced, but friendly and pleasant. The message board did not give a price for the sandwich, and I didnt ask. It ended up being a $12 sandwich. Way overpriced. But it was all my fault ... I easily could have strolled to another nearby restaurant. I recommend you do just that. Nonnas is just a tourist trap.

Ambiance = great. Service = really bad. Food = bad. This restaurant looked really nice, I was impressed by the little awards stickers from tripadvisor for 2013 (I believe) and the service at the door was good, but as soon as you sit down the service goes downhill from there. We waited way too long for our menus and they were not even busy, but we figured hey no big deal. When we finally ordered our food, they didnt have eggplant, mussels, or bread, in their defence they did tell us they could make it but their attitude was more of a we can make it but we dont really want to. We didnt even get a refill the whole time we were there. The food wasnt good either. 2 out of 5 because ambiance and cleanliness gave them that extra star.

Restaurante racista y discriminatorio, negaron el servicio, después que las personas esperaron pacientemente por 50 minutos para ser atendidas. Restaurant racist and discriminatory, denied service, after people waited patiently for 50 minutes to be served. The so bad place at st Augustine. El Peor restaurante en st Augustine. Agresión en contra del cliente

This restaurant went from fairly good to bottom of the barrel. I am embarrassed for whoever owns this place and allows this to happen to good paying customers. There is definitely no chef or talent cooking anything that resembles Italian cooking. I can tell you all the item codes of the pre-made sauces and pre-cut chicken they use from Sysco. Nothing authentic here. DONT get the "chicken Marsala" Ive had better gravy on SOS. Frutti di mare is a joke. Dried herbs, frozen seafood salad mix and pomace olive oil on over cooked pasta. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Very disappointed in the food and waitstaff. The chicken Caesar salad tasted like the bags you buy from Winn Dixie absolutely horrible save yourself the 14.00 for a salad with just chicken, romaine and dressing and that was all. We also 4 other dinner selections no one finished their food nor wanted to take it home because it was so horrible. The waitstaff was cursing around the table about tips and other personal items, did not know how to split checks, and just lack of knowledge and care. I have no reason to ever visit this restaurant again.

We ate there a couple of evenings ago. The server couldnt have been more pleasant and helpful but the food was barely edible. We were told the chef had quit in a huff a couple of days before and they hadnt found a suitable replacement so maybe things will get better one day. Grouper was dried out with a thick coating of dry "Italian seasoning" spilled onto it. A few cold capers were sprinkled on top for good measure. The vegetables were swimming in grease. Nice setting, good service, awful food. Sorry to say.

I would highly recommend that you visit! This is a great place! We were traveling with a big family--some of us have food allergies. They were AMAZING! They helped our large family and were so cheerful about it! They were great about Gluten allergies! Highly recommend the Fresh sea food and some great salads With Sicilian wine The entire experience was a delight! We liked it so much we went twice! All in all, I would give them 10+ stars, but Google only allows 5.

We were disappointed in our experience at Nonnas Trattoria. We arrived for an early dinner and were the only customers. We were not offered salad or bread and when we asked we were provided with a $10 salad to share and 4 slices of bread...at $1.00 per slice. The sangria and our pasta dishes were good. When we finished we sat with our dirty plates while the gentleman who served us sat at a table and talked with someone. It was very disappointing service.

My wife and I love Aviles Street. We discovered this amazing Italian restaurant with great prices and the best service we have had at any restaurant in St. Augustine. After a wonderful meal our waiter brings out a free dessert and two glasses of wine to go with it. The meal was amazing as were the surroundings while eating at a little table on the sidewalk in front. What a wonderful night. We could not give this establishment a higher endorsement.
