Courteous hostess, quick to take our order (too quick) no specials offered, my first time here but no recommendations from waitress who kept rushing our order. Mushroom risotto was delicious, tomato basil gnocchi was below average it contained no basil, contained very little gnocchi, it was mostly tomato chunks and I stayed hungry. Moscow mule tasted like a mojito barely had any ginger, Appletini barely had any vodka. Dont recommend their drinks bc of high prices and little to no alcohol. We waited over half hour to receive our food, they brought us bread twice, eventually waitress brought our food and never again came back to check if everything was ok or if we needed more water etc. This lack of attention made me lose my appetite for a dessert. The ambiance was acceptable although very loud, lights too bright and full of kids and older people not romantic. I wouldnt come back based on this experience. Theres better out there.

In our quest for Italian restaurants in Miami we stumbled upon Il Vaporetto, a place located on the same street where the Shops at Sunset Place shopping mall is situated. To our surprise, there we were able to try some really savory chicken wings and an Ossobuco hamburger, both dishes somewhat departed from the traditional Italian cuisine, but as Il Vaporetto’s owner, Eduardo Franco, explains it, “We are different.” It is a good food venue to share with friends and relatives.

Amazing Food! Be sure to order what Chef Eddy Franco proudly calls his Yankeetalian Food: The Hambur-buco is by far the best exponent, an out of this world gourmet hamburger topped with the best tasting ossobuco sauce. Can you imagine Chicken Wings at an italian restaurant? Another mouth watering surprise! Dont miss the Marco Polo Chicken Wings. This Italian Restaurant serves unusual, unique, unforgettable food. A breath of fresh air in South Miami!

Food was ok. But the service was appallingly bad. Whats most surprising is that the owner was the waiter. No graded cheese or pepper offerered with the meal. No sugar caddy brought with the drinks. No refills were offered. When I complained and expressed that this did not meet a minimum standard of service the owner said he disagreed comped the meal and asked me never to return. Which frankly the horrible service had already all but guaranteed.

This place is a neighborhood favorite of ours. The food is fantastic, we have never had a meal here we wouldnt recommend. Occasionally they have a burrata and prosciutto appetizer special that will knock your socks off. The service is attentive and the staff are very welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about il Vaporetto. Go. You will love it.

Went on a Friday for lunch and found out that this restaurant has amazing food. Three meals all cooked to perfection. Recommend the ribs personally as well as the risotto. Scallops I was told was excellent and they had a malbec! Tiramisu was the perfect end to the lunch.

Today, I went to eat at the Il Vaporetto restaurant for the first time for lunch with some friends. The food and service were amazing. The food was fresh and hot. I highly recommend the restaurant and will be returning.
