Warning this post is not a good one, I have been there several times and had wonderful service but this post is about our experience on the date in question and I am going to give it to you straight. We went the day after Christmas and apparently they were having an awful day in the kitchen cause even the owner was back there cooking, but with that being said the owner should be sending out top notch eats, not absolute Garbage to get people out. I had ordered a Challah melt over medium with grits, nothing complicated, Ive ordered this here at least half a dozen times and it has never been a problem this time it was an abomination. They kept sending it out and the eggs had no yolks, yes you read that right all they were sending were egg whites. I didnt order egg whites so I sent it back three times. I told the waitress I didnt want it that way and she took it back. Mind you my husband was having his breakfast and we were waiting for my food to come out but after 10 mins nothing came and we asked the waitress and she said she cancelled my order. I was like WHY? I was sitting there waiting for my food like a dummy and literally nothing was coming cause she took the liberty of cancelling it. We asked to see the owner and were advised they werent coming...Cause they were cooking. I was super upset cause at this point we had been there over an hour and no one had bothered to tell us they had cancelled my order. They offered to make me something else since the challah melt wasnt "up to my standards" umm yeah its an egg sandwich it should have egg yolks in it especially since I didnt order it with egg whites. Anyway, I said fine bring me an order of classic eggs Benedict no garnish with grits...i only agreed to stay and try again cause I was STARVING! They didnt come out after 20 mins, So I just got up and left. Awful, awful, awful service and management. If you have a problem with your staff not coming to work the day after a holiday & you cant handle the kitchen...Close that day. As for us, we will not be coming back here for a while, if ever again. Whisk is down the street has better food with comparable prices. On this day I would give them ZERO stars, but I had to give one to review.

Came here for brunch and ordered the Challah Melt and Fit for Life omelette special. These options sounded great and, for the most part, tasted fine. The resulting food wouldve been fine if it was 20% cheaper. Though the challah bread was precut, I was hoping for a little more than sandwich bread. A few seconds on the flattop wouldve gone a long way. Ham was the centerpiece of that melt and, but I didnt realize the restaurant name would find itself in this dish. Deli ham on challah bread? A true disappointment for a plate that has lots of potential. The egg was overcooked and side of house potatoes couldve used a dash of salt. The omelette had bay shrimp, spinach, and goat cheese - a flavor combo that worked great, but it was poorly executed. I was expecting the shrimp to highlight the omelette, but it was hardly a contribution since no seasoning favored the shrimp. It would have complemented the spinach and goat cheese immensely. Lastly, the goat cheese was clumped together in the center, leaving both underwhelming and overwhelming cheese flavors. I admired the idea behind some of the menu items, but a little more effort wouldve made the difference in my decision to return.

Great food, great service. I like this place because I can bring my dog and they have tons of outdoor seating. The best part of that is, a lot of the outdoor seating is under an awning for those rainy dog days. The food has never disappointed. The first time I went, I ordered the scrambled eggs with Salmon. It was amazing to say the least. The next time I split two plates with my girlfriend (BLTCA and a Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap) Both were great. Today we split a chicken Parmesan, which was perfect. The pasta wasnt hard like some places, it was soft and flavorful. The chicken was perfectly friend, not greasy. The garlic bread was also good! They have a whole craft beer menu as well so everything I want is available. I had a cafe con leche which was exactly the right color I wanted. I will continue coming here.

Terrible! The food was greasy, previously frozen and quite frankly just disgusting. Paid $11.99 for the balsamic pasta with roasted vegetables. Dripping with oil, mushy, unidentifiable vegetables, over-cooked pasta and was the color and texture was something one might find in a port-a-potty. Even the Pepsi had an underlying dishwater taste to it. I would really have expected more, especially considering the "high end" area in which they are located. I am surprised they can stay in business. 2 thumbs down, zero stars. Sad and disappointing is the nicest comment I can make.

This is one of the old restaurants that I have been coming to for years. I hate to have to review because this place really hits home. Anyway, here it goes. This place is just getting worst every time I come. Waitresses are running around going crazy, food is served cold, orders are incomplete and... Its very sad to see this staple restaurant falling apart. I suggest that management open their eyes or this place will become extinct like the dinosaurs. Dont pass the blame on your employees or others, it is the responsibility of your management.

Pasta dishes are over cooked. Veggies are microwaved to tasteless and colorless perfection. LOUD KIDS run the place inside and outside on Sunday mornings. Mike the co-owner is a bucket of grease who treats his workers less than that of an abused dog. Salads are decent. I always here a server complain in the background at night. If you have to come here to eat, stick with a sand-which or wrap and fries. Eat at your own disappointment with other items on the menu. Enjoy.

Prices keep going up, and portions keep getting smaller. The chicken fingers and fries used to have a larger portion of both chicken and fries, and cost less. The price goes up, the size of the chicken goes down, and the fries are cut in half enough to only fill a small plate with the chicken sitting on top. Very disappointed how they keep charging more and giving less. The taste is fantastic, but bad business is still bad business.

I am a huge fan of the lane. I love the one in Brickell as I feel it has the best omelette around! This one is just as good. There is easy street parking all over the place, and a very large outside seating area. They have healthy menu options to choose from for both breakfast and lunch. The service is outstanding, as they are very friendly, fast, and efficient. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast places in South Miami!

My Sunday morning family time was ruined by lack of service and poor management. Our order took approximately an hour and half. When I approached the manager to ask, she stated the kitchen was backed up. This wasnt true because people that sat around us that arrived way after us where served and finished eating before we received our food. When we finally received our food it wasnt complete and my son had to eat alone.
