I eat healthy vegetarian food so Im very picky about Chinese food since its usually very greasy and unappetizing to me. My favorite place in Sarasota is the Rice Box Express, but they are too far away to deliver, and China Wok is close to me. I tried their takeout and loved it! They actually have a General Tsos tofu which Ive never seen on a menu before, and it is so good. I must say, I have learned to only order the "spicy" food because that is the most flavorful - like other people have mentioned their food can be a bit bland otherwise. But the service is quick and the people are so nice too!

We went here based on the Google reviews. Based on the Chinese restaurants that we are used to in the Chicago area, I would say this is not a good place. The food is bland. My order was wrong. The fried rice did not look like any fried rice we have ever had before. Rice did not look fried at all. I had sweet & sour chicken. They give you a small container of sweet & sour sauce with none of the usual vegetables & pineapple. This is not an eat in restaurant unless you want to sit by the counter where they take orders.

Son was in the mood for Chinese food but being from out of town wasnt sure what place would be good. Read a few reviews and chose this place since it was nearby. We ordered the Hunan Seafood (not very spicey), Beef with Chinese vegetables and House Special Mei Fun - all was very good, no extra soy needed, and portion was enough for 4 grown people with leftovers. My husband thought it was a bit pricey, $33, but I thought it was comparable to other places since I didnt get the lunch portion.

The eggrolls are uniformed in shape which leads me to believe their frozen and that would explain the bland taste as well. The egg foo yong also was bland; in fact everything we ordered was bland. I ordered from here about 6 months ago and the eggrolls were superb, the egg foo fong had depth and the "gravy" even though "gelatinous" at least had flavor..ugh...go back to canton for cooking lessons

I ordered from the lunch special. The customer service was excellent and the choices on the menu was excellent and within price range for those who wish to save a buck or two. The wait was about 25 mins and the food is freshly prepared. It was very very tasty and very well presented. I will be eating here again and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

By far the best chinese restaurant in town. Their $5.00 lunch specials are of really good value, and they come with a big crispy egg roll (or soda)! Their dishes have such good flavor and quality, comparable to Panda Express. Their General Tsos, and Lo Mein dishes are my favorite, and I urge you to try them.

I have never reviewed anything on google before, but I feel compelled to review this Chinese restaurant. It was some of the WORST food (not just Chinese food) I have ever had. I have no idea how it had such good reviews. They got the order wrong, and the chicken was slippery/rubbery. Disgusting.

Unfortunately, just from observation . I’m sure the kitchen equipment is not operating to code. Place is very run down. They really need to start putting money back into the establishment. I got your basic generals it was hot but the chicken was gray. Friendly staff but didn’t say much.

Weve eaten at this restaurant for more than ten years. Change of ownership a few years ago. Very affordable lunch specials. Its a blue collar, strip mall chinese food place, but we like it and eat here at least twice a month. Try it, youll like it.

Excellent. The $5.25 lunch specials are not to be beat. Food is always hot and fresh when I get it and no matter how much you order, or what time of day it is you can expect to wait "about ten minutes". Best Chinese in Sarasota ive yet to find !

Extremely nice staff, open til 11 at night, very affordable prices, clean, cozy and I always leave satisfied. Good curry, good lomein. They dont skimp on any ingredients. Havent tried anything I didnt enjoy from there.
