Food, Service and Manager are all horrible. I made the huge mistake of recommending this place for a night out with friends that were visiting from out of town. I have been a couple of times previously and the service has never been good, but the view of the water is pretty. The view happens to be the only decent thing about this restaurant. My good friend ordered a Wedge salad expecting the normal chunk of crispy iceberg lettuce, but instead got a huge chunk of romaine lettuce that looked like it had just been pulled out of the ground. She ended up sending that back and was very polite about it. She ordered the Salmon and received a piece of completely under cooked Salmon. My friend told us that this was actually her first time sending something back, but both items really did look disgusting and were inedible. The manager proceeded to come and sit down at our table with us (which I thought was very unusual) and questioned my friend about the reasons that the items were sent back. I think that is the first time I have ever witnessed a manager questioning the customer about why something was sent back. At first he actually refused to comp the items and also told her that she needed to pay $8 for the 3 tiny pieces of steak that she had eaten off of the salad. The manager was really quite rude so naturally our entire table of friends started to get upset. We were all spending quite a bit of money on food and alcohol, so the fact that he was treating us this was was appalling. After going back and forth with him for a while (again my friend was very polite the whole time and I probably got way more angry than her), he finally agreed to comp the items and offered us a free dessert. At this point, we were ready to leave after being treated so badly and just asked for our checks. Another point to add is that the server rarely came to check on us. I think she visited our table of 7 people maybe a total of 3 times during the 2 hours that we were there. I will never go back again and actually felt very embarrassed that this was my recommendation to guests that were visiting from out of town. There are so many great places in Downtown Sanford and Lake Mary and we ended up having the worst dining experience that any of us have ever had.

We walked into a freezing entryway and immediately asked to be seated outside. They were full outside and that was probably because the inside temp was about 10 degrees too cool. We got a seat by the window. The seat by the widow was warmer because we were by the door letting the warm air into the restaurant. For a brand new restaurant I would not have expected to have to deal with an extremely wobbly table. That was an annoyance throughout the whole meal. We ordered the Spinach and Crab dip; thinking it would be to the table fast. It showed up after about 10-12 minutes and when it was delivered the waitress dropped half of our chips on the table. Said sorry and walked off. It cosisted of approximately 2 cups of cooked spinach, 3 ounces of crab meat and 2 ounces of shreaded cheddar cheese melted on top. I think they forgot the cream cheese because the dip was very dry and had little crab in it at all. My wife ordered fish and chips with vegetables. Her plate came out with a lot of potato chips, about 6 ounces of (what appeared to be) previously frozen veggies and 6 fish fingers. The fries were the stand out dish of the evening. I ordered the clam strip dinner with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The clams were great, the potatoes were a generous serving of lava hot garlic potatoes and a side of overly seasoned brown gravy. The slaw was very wet with a mayonnaise based sauce. I enjoyed it, but I doubt that most will. Words to the management team... 1) Tell the servers not to chew gum on the floor, its unprofessional and tacky. Ours showed up chewing gum, trying to hide it. 2) Taste the food. If you did; have someone else taste the food. 3) Section the restaurant out to servers and keep them there. 4) Sit in every chair at every table. If they wobble..... fix them!

Took nearly 45 minutes for us to be seated and nearly 20 minutes for us to have someone asked us what we wanted to drink. I understand today was the 4th of July and restaurants tend to be much busier. However, there was 6 open tables, no one waiting and the poor hostess was losing her mind. Coming from Arizona and having serving experience in a very busy bar and grill I know exactly what it feels like to be slammed during holidays. I ordered a beer and by the time it got to me it was warm. The fireworks started and I decided to do the restaurant a favor and ask for my check. I was super disappointed with the service, there was a total of 3 servers, 2 bus boys and a hostess on hand tonight. I would highly recommended being better staffed to handle any type of holidays or events. Hopefully I can convince my husband to give it another chance so we can both enjoy the food that everyone has reviewed about.

It was one of my worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. We got there at 8:30 and it took the hostess 30 minutes to sit us down it was not busy at all in the restaurant she looked stressed out like it was her first day on the job. When we finally got seated we sat at our table for another 15 minutes with out getting any drinks. The bus boy had to take our drink order and even then still waited about another 15 minutes and for having a limited menu you would think everything would be running a lot smoother to be honest not really sure if I would go back or even recommend this restaurant to my friends.

TOTAL DISASTER! Went there yesterday. It was not busy when we arrived. The Bartender Kim, seated us, we ordered and waited. Then we waited and waited some more. 40 minutes for the food to come out. It was mediocre to say the least. After 45 minutes I still had not received a second glass of water, NO-ONE ever came to check on us even though there were plenty of servers walking around. After we ate, a male server took the empty plates and then we waited again. AND WAITED 20 minutes for the check. I finally walked inside and asked for a manager, never got to talk to one. To my (not) surprise

one of the first places i ate in downtown sanford. i eat tilapia here everyday catching them a few hundred yards out my backdoor. Ive had it a different way everyday for months. My friend got the Tilapia at this place... OUTSTANDING! Its not iron chef presentation with sauces but its good and the food is worth the price. We live in an RV and dont go out much since we moved. When we do we want it to be a solid deal. If you are in doubt because of the other reviews just ask to try the hush puppys first. We have had the all over traveling. The ones here are wonderful.
