This is a gem! My fiancé and I have lived in St. Augustine for over a year and have been searching for something like this! We called in a reservation in case it was busy. While we were waiting to go over the Bridge of Lions we realized we might be late. We called and they assured us it was fine. Once we arrived we were warmly greeted and sat quickly. Our waiter, Steve, was fantastic! He greeted us and told us about the name of the restaurant and where it came from. He explained how the owners daughter was a chef, her boyfriend was a chef, and theyre best friend was a chef and that all three are in the back. This is a made from scratch restaurant and they use all local goods. That in itself is one of our favorite parts. Our drinks from the bar came quickly as well as the appetizer. The pork belly melted in our mouths. It was incredible. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad. Very impressive homemade dressing. We placed our order after enjoying ourselves with drinks and appetizers. Our food all in all is amazing. We cant wait to come back!

If Balefire Brasserie was in the city I live in I would be there all the time. What a hidden gem. My waiter Gerry was very attentive. I started with the Grilled Romaine Caesar Salad.... Amazing. The kicker was my entrée. It was the special for the day. A grilled trio of shrimp, trout and scallops. I have never really been a big fan of ordering scallops at a restaurant because they arent often cooked correctly. These were the best I have ever had...hands down. The trio of seafood was served atop buttery marscapone grits that were absolutely superb. This place is not a tourist trap like many other restaurants in St. Augustine....they just serve top notch locally sourced food that will blow your mind. I was truly impressed and will return when I visit again.

Great new restaurant on the island, just over the Bridge of Lions. Great menu, friendly staff and nice decor set the tone for a great meal. My girlfriend and I split the charcuterie board for our app and it was awesome. The sausage and cheese combinations were complex and tasty. For dinner, my girlfriend had the pan seared scallops, and she is still talking about them! I went with their special "the good, the bad and the ugly" which was coconut shrimp, a crab cake, and butter poached monk fish" each item was to die for and the sauces that accompanying the fish were equally delicious. Needless to say, we will definitely be back!

Good service by our waiter Matthew B. Good atmosphere, but a little noisy. The food was not the typical of a Brasserie. Was looking for steak frites, pate and charcuterie. Maybe asking to much for Saint Augustine. A little pricey, most entrée around $28.00, for a 3 course dinner without wine $50.00 +.

Wow. Some of the best food I have ever had in St Augustine. Angie and her crew have recovered from the hurricane and are completely knocking it out of the park with the food. Crab bruschetta and pork belly were outstanding. You will regret not eating here. We almost did.

This is a hidden jewel that will be blown wide open very soon. Up till now the purple olive had the best scallops in town , but , this place just took the crown. Might need reservations after 6:00.
