We actually picked up our Christmas Dinner here on Christmas Eve. We had the Pork Fried Rice, Beef Lo Mein, BBQ Beef, Krab Rangoon, S&S Chicken, Boneless Ribs, Egg Rolls and Egg Foo Young. (And 4doz fortune cookies!) I have to say that of all of the Chinese Restaurants I have been to since I moved here from Massachusetts in 91, this one takes the fortune cookie! Everything tasted just like it should. Nothing was dry or overdone - not over sauced or over salted. Marinated just right. The gentleman who took our order was as pleasant as could be, offering every bit of advise on how to reheat the food for the next day so it would be its best. He explained that they are the only place left who makes the food authentically the way it is done in New York. They even gave us an entire bag of sauces and soy sauce to make sure we had enough. I found the price quite comparable to the other Chinese places around here. I live in Deltona, but I will be sure to make the trek past downtown Deland from now on to get food worth eating. The Boneless Ribs were my favorite, next to the Pork Fried Rice. These ribs you will not find in any other place... guaranteed. We ate one order on our way home! Please make it a point to give this place a try if you havent already. They have been here since I moved here and we used to go all of the time when we first came. It is just as good as ever! Thank you Won Lees for making our Christmas Dinner scrumptious!

It isnt the best place for Chinese. BUT it is hands down the best in the Deltona/Deland/Orange City area that we have found. Reason we gave it 5 stars. It was a 20 min drive and we will go back. It is much better than any of the WoK, strip mall, sugary normal Chinese. We ordered: Crab Ragoons, steamed dumplings, General Tso Chicken, Lo Mein and extra noodles with their Duck Sauce. The Crab Ragoons arent fried puffs of cream cheese. Actually, had crab in it. The General Tso was a step above the normal. Not as greasy and super spicy as we ordered it. The fried noodles were fresh and their homemade duck sauce was delicious. Much better than any packet sauce ;) As for the cost, IT WAS ABOUT 10 DOLLARS LESS THAN WE NORMALLY SPEND.. We did take out but even in the 5 min we spent in the restaurant picking up, the owner was very kind and even talked with my 6 year old daughter. Better quality food, great price and great customer service.

I have tried this establishment at least three different times. The only great thing was the wait staff. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, it was small pieces of unidentified, dark "meat" in a doughball. Oh my gosh, the taste was strong and terrible. We ordered the chicken and broccoli, the chicken was not chicken. No way, shape or form. My little guy ordered chicken nuggets, he did NOT eat them. Again, weird pieces of chicken. He only had French fries. I dont know how people like this place, I dont know if their taste buds are non existent or its nostalgia that keeps them coming back. Every decorative items on the wall is covered in about 20 years of dust. Honestly, the thought of this food is gross.

After some 30 plus years Won Lee is finally getting some respect on the various foodie sites. I have lived in Florida for 30 years and have not found any place that has better spare ribs and egg rolls..Stretching from South Florida across Florida and up to Jacksonville. This is "Old School Cantonese" in a dated environment. Its clean, but yes its an old place. Service can be a might slow when they are busy at lunch. The quality of the food is great and their prices are incredibly reasonable. Get their Young Chow Won Ton Soup for 2 (it feeds 4!) and their shrimp with lobster sauce. Try their sweet and sour chicken, but you must request white meat. Cashew pork or chicken is also very good.

Absolutely disgusting! The place smelled like rotting meat in a drain. There were huge cob webs in the light fixtures, and dont think youll get a beverage in this place! All they have is tap water that tastes like chlorine. I ordered chicken and my husband ordered pork, I cant say we "had" anything because it wasnt edible. Both dishes were the same meat, neither of which chicken or pork. We poked around at whatever we were served, paid and left. Went to the Main street Grill, where, by the way, the chicken was chicken.

We go to Won Lee at least twice a month. We are vegan, we stick to the vegetarian items. Our experience has always been very pleasant and the food always excellent. Recently where advised if we want something else without meats just ask and they will accommodate us. Owner always strikes a conversation with regulars and the staff are very friendly. When we first came to the area seventeen years ago, we came here a few times. Glad to say they are as good now as back then.

Dont know what these fools who rated Won Lees below average are below are talking about. I been going there for years for take out. Best fried rice ever, NOT "Americanized" at all (no carrots, corn and peas), awesome soup, pan fried dumplings and House fried rice is amazing. The BBQ beef is awesome. Our family has never been disappointed, the owners are very friendly. Good food, try and see. I always get take out. Its better for some reason........

Maybe they were having a bad day but there were multiple issues. The lady at the front desk was rude to customers, and all the food was old. You could taste the old grease on the chicken and the noodles in the lo mein were completely bland. The rice was clearly a week old and microwaved. I never knew you could go that wrong with Chinese food and the fact that they had the audacity to serve this was a shame.

His card machine didnt work. I waited patiently. Then told me "you need to carry cash" no your card machine should work. Then proceeds to tell me "its your problem" no in fact your machine not working is your problem. Then took a carbon copy of my card without my permission. Very rude and unprofessional. Hopefully he doesnt use my card number for supplies as unprofessional as this manager was today.

I am new to the area so Im finding my local "go to" restaurants. This was a total disappointment. The food was overcooked, bland and stale. We tried several starters, from Won Ton Soup to egg rolls as well as lo mein, seafood delight and szechuan chicken. None of the dishes smelled or tasted like you would expect. My $40.00 literally went down the garbage disposal. It was not eatable.

We grabbed lunch on our way through town while travelling. This was the best unique chinese food we have had. The bbq beef appetizer was wonderful as well as both of our entrees and soup. The fried rice was also the best I have ever had. Our server, Donna, was the sweetest most personable server we have ever had. She had eight tables and still took time to make sure every guest was happy.

Amazing. We arrived early, before they opened. Instead of making us wait 20 minutes, they opened for us. Service was excellent, on top of everything. The food was delicious. You can definitely tell everything was prepared fresh and made to order. The homemade duck sauce ruined me for any other sauces. On top it all, the prices were surprisingly affordable. It is worth the drive to DeLand.
