I have been a regular at Cottage grill for the past 3 years and taken many friends there as well as encouraged everyone I met to go there until last night. I went with 3 friends to celebrate a birthday and had the worst service ever. Our server came to get our order and we were not ready yet but didnt return for 20 to 30 minutes to take our order again. My friend then asked if the corn tortillas had wheat and she said everything has wheat but then reluctantly checked with the kitchen. My friend ordered a beef enchilada and received chicken. Our birthday girl ordered Asian stir fry which she said was extremely salty. We couldnt notify our server since she barely checked on us after bringing the food. She stopped for less than a second and walked away before we could even tell her. My friend ate her chicken enchilada as we were all hungry after waiting so long for the food and when the server finally came to wrap things up my friend informed her that it was good but not what she ordered. The server then said I entered beef you can come check the register. My friend said she would not be doing that and advised her to speak to the kitchen about making a new one to go to which the server replied the kitchen is closed. The server then returned with the manager who began yelling at my friends and stated rudely that they will take the stir fry off the bill but since the enchilada was eaten that will remain. The manager also stated server came to the table many times to which my friend responded she only came twice. Both manager and server began yelling and arguing with my friend and blamed her for the entire incident. No apology was ever provided and then we were rudely informed they were putting in paperwork indicating they were closing and we should leave. I am still understating how incredibly rude and horrible the service was, you really had to be there. Our birthday celebration was ruined to say the least and I will never return or refer anyone there again.

today April 25,2013 4 of My eight Sisters and I visited this little restaurant , one of us just moved to port st.lucie. I was so pleased with the décor and the friendliness of the waiter, I thought this has to be great! I was mistaken 3 of us ordered liver and onions, sounds weird but we are from New England originally so it is one of our old family meals, that we dont order out very often. The liver was cooked as ordered and the meal itself looked appealing, however when on of us turned over the liver it was green!!!!!! then we all checked our plates and they all were green on one side. I realize some foods can develop a strange color when cooked , however this was just not edible and the(cook, manager) advised us that was liver changed color when heated on one side!!!!! The three of us could not continue our meal, the others just ate half of their chicken and beef sandwiches and we left!!!! The manager should have been a little more concerned and perhaps offered to replace the meal, he did not, he left and that was it! I am sure I could never attempt to eat at this little place again, and Im so sorry because we visit and eat out regularly. What a shame. Paula Carroll

Was very excited to finally try this place. I have been craving a rueben and ordered one. When the sandwich arrived it was not on the marble rye as stated on menu but that was the least of the sandwiche issues. The only part of the sandwich that was warm was th e grilled bread. The kitchen DOES NOT heat their kraut so the entire inside of sandwich was so cold that the swiss cheese was still solid and cold. Puttuing back on the grill was the kitchens answer to making it hot enough, just to overcook the bread with no change to the inside temp. Seriously disappointed

What a great little find! Nice, clean homey atmosphere, all the employees were friendly, and the food was outstanding! Had a generously poured glass of wine to start, then chose the turkey special. The waitress informed me when I ordered, that the turkey is cooked fresh every day.The platter was filled with light and dark meat turkey, cranberry, stuffing, cabbage, carrots, squash, asparagus, mashed potato and garlic bread! What a feast, and a fresh salad was included. I highly recommend this place, cant wait to go back!

Over the past two years have been spending several months a year in Port Saint Lucie. Thrilled we discovered the Cottage Grill the very first time we were here. We eat there at least two to three times a week, the atmosphere is great, the food is terrific and the staff is FABULOUS! One of the few places that actually cooks your food the way you ask for it. It nice walking in and having people say hello to you by name. Thank you Bob, Rob, Cindy, Twila, Amy, Arnie and Keith! J & J

I thought the food was good. I thought I might help you out with a 5 star review. I wish you all the best on your business. I know how hard it is starting out. I personally will stick with a home office so I can keep my prices down. But of course I dont have to cook. LOL. Best of Luck. Very Respectfully- Jason Stewart (USN Ret.) Place was amazing, went there with 5 people, everyone enjoyed not only the food, but our service was spot on! I ordered the Caprese salad with chicken and it came with soup, which I chose Italian meatball, it was only $14.99, the salad was huge, lets talk about their homemade bread, we had here refill our basket twice, a must go to if you are in the area!

My husband had the liver and onions it is very hard to find somewhere that cooks it just right so glad we found this place it was perfect. I had the Shepard pie after enjoying the delicious lobster bisque I am able to have my Sheppard pie tomorrow too because the portions are a good size and a lot to eat prices are very reasonable for the portions

“Great Breakfast location” We go there every Saturday when we are down in Florida for the season. Great breakfast special - 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes or tomatoes (we have 1/2 and 1/2) and various types of toast or there special biscuit (2 of us share the toast and biscuit). Has gotten a bit more pricey in the last year - and...

Outstanding! We just finished dinner there and will be back! Decor was very nice and welcoming. Food was fresh, delicious and home made! A diamond in the rough and the first real restaurant to ever occupy this location. I cant believe a place this good is in PSL! Our server was awesome, down to earth friendly and worth 20%+ tips!

We had a small birthday party for my adult daughter and couldnt of had a nicer time. We were seated in a outdoor section that was perfect for our group. The only thing that surpassed the taste and presentation of the food was the over-the-top service we received. This was our first but definitely not our last visit.

Visited the restaurant with my husband John for an early lunch. We are from the UK but have a place near the I95 in PSL. The service was as always excellent and the food is amongst the best we have found in Florida. Certainly worth our travel to US1. Also had a chat with the owner, a great guy called...
