First....the food: Authentic, AMAZING Indian/Pakistani food. Also, something for everybody....my mom does not like spicy food, she tried, at the owners advice, the "butter chicken"...and loved it. I sampled a little of everything from the buffet and all of it was delicious. The Naan bread was AMAZING, brought out fresh, home made. This is, simply, the best Indian restaurant/buffet I have been to. The rice was cooked perfectly. To be honest, I cant think of one thing that anybody in our family did not like, we all loved everything we had. Lastly, the owner brought us out a dessert, that I think was some kind of "sweet rice".....it was like sticky rice, but sweet, topped with almonds. I have never had it before, but is was SO GOOD! Incredible service, we did not even ask for this dessert, yet he brought it to us. We were made to feel like true guests here. The great food and amazing service will definitely have us going back! Second, the owner: The owner is an incredible man who obviously takes great pride in what he does. He let me and my family come in while he was still setting up for dinner service. He helped my mom pick out a dish to her taste, and even let us know to call ahead next time and he would specially prepare a kabob or something for her! You do not find this kind of service ANYWHERE these days. Him and his wife were great with our kids, it was a great FAMILY atmosphere. Personal Note: I talked with the owner after we ate, and it inspired me to write this review. A great family owning a GREAT restaurant and serving INCREDIBLE food. We need to, as a community....SUPPORT local businesses like this. I noticed on the window it said "5.99 lunch". The tragedy here is that, for the same price, people would rather line up at McDonalds/Burger King for GARBAGE food.....all while places like this one offer up quality, fresh, REAL food for the same price of a Big Mac and fries. This place deserves to succeed, and should. The only thing going against it is the location. Perhaps New Port Richey is not the best place or demographic for quality, Indian cuisine.

We were passing thru New Port Richey and stopped by Taste of Curry. We ordered Baingan ka Bartha (eggplnat curry), vegetable biryani and some bread (naan). The baingan ka bartha was simply outstanding - I can say that it is the best I have eaten in about 20 years! And I am a foodie and of indian-origin, so I know the food very well. The vegetable biryani was excellent - the cook/chef used Broccoli as one of the vegetables. In my opinion, Broccoli doesnt go well when cooked with traditional biryani spices - it would be better served as a side. Of course, we didnt tell the cook in advance. Overall, excellent food and a very pleasant service experience. Strongly recommend.

Taste of Curry is our go to place when my wife and I want to dine out. The food is absolutely delicious and the owners are very nice and accommodating and informative of the dishes . I usually go on Fridays for the buffet and its always a pleasant surprise to see what is being served, as the menu changes daily. I truly urge anyone who would like to eat Pakistani/Indian food to give Taste of Curry a try as you will not be disappointed. We especially like the Butter Chicken and my favorite is Chicken Bryani. Please give them your support as they are hard working people !! :)

I chose this restaurant for my birthday based on reviews of the food. If you are looking for somewhere fancy or low-lit with music, dont go here. If you want Pakistani - Indian cuisine that is off the chain you MUST go here!!! From the naan, to the chutney and yogurt sauces, the biryani, onion bhajji, butter chicken, curry, it was all so fabulous and so much better than Ive experienced from any other Indian restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. I will definitely be back. Shukria!!!!

I give him 4 stars because he so nice and very accommodating. He makes me things that arent on the menu. The only thing I think could help him to be better is if he always had available the ingredients to make the dishes he has on the menu....often times we go in there craving a certain dish but he doesnt have the necessary ingredients. But his cooking is very good. We usually order stuff to go after we eat so that we can satisfy our cravings late at night...(:

This business offers a buffet, but when you eat too much, he makes faces of disgust. The food is warmed up from the previous day and until all of the food is consumed, he will not bring out fresh rice or buffet items. His children are running around bare footed while customers are dining. The food is horrible and of poor quality, He uses msg preservatives that worsen edema and give you bloating. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My husband and I had a lovely meal at Taste of Currys Mothers Day buffet, nicely priced at $8.95. Buffet items we sampled included samosas, butter chicken, chicken curry, a lamb curry, a spinach and potato dish, chick-pea masala, naan, and rice. Everything was very tasty and husband and wife owners friendly. We will definitely be going back. Pleasant addition to the local restaurant scene.

This place is probably the best kept secret in the area. The food is absolutely OUTSTANDING, and the owners are very kind, generous, and accommodating. The prices are great for both the quality and the quantity of food you get; you will not leave hungry, trust me. Best naan Ive ever had in my life, too. If I could give this place a higher rating, I would do so without hesitation.

After reading someof the reviews , thought we would try this place. Went for lunch buffet and they only had 1 chicken entree on the buffet kept being told they were making more food, but nothing ever came out. Food wasnt very warm and service was not on point. Plus was charged $ 10.00 a person when there was nothing to choose from but butter chicken.. Wont be going back :(

Taste of Curry is family owned and adorable. Owners are very nice and very accommodating. They have a buffet with fresh, quality choices. Also, the owner makes traditional plates as well. They have catering available for bigger parties. My husband and I make sure to go often. Very yummy.

I usually like the food. I live close by and pick up dinner from them every few weeks. Tonight we ordered 1 hour before close, and the butter chicken was cold and not very tasty and the nan bread was burnt.. I am not giving up on them but I will definitely order earlier in the day.

My sister and I stopped by for lunch. I am a fan of Indian food, my sister, on the other hand had never eaten this cuisine. The owner suggested she try the butter chicken and she loved it! Food was very good. Highly recommend. Quiet place. Will go again, this time for dinner.

My husband and I are vegan so its difficult to find good restaurants. Not only were there 3 vegan options on,the buffet, but the owner personally made us an additional dish! Great food and even better service! Our new favorite restaurant.
