If I could rate this restaurant with no stars and Google accept it, I would have. One star is being polite. My family and I thought we would try something different and stumbled upon Top Shelf Bar & Grill in downtown Plant City. From the moment we sat down it was a clean and well kept place, but management should have spent some of that money on the wait staff instead of the building. Our waitress, Asahi, was completely incompetent and uneducated to the restaurants menu. Including the beers on tap, FAIL. Which was sad because she stood watching TV from the tap line half of our visit. Now keep in mind there are only TWO tables in this entire place, mine and another family who sounded to be just as displeased. My son didnt receive a kids menu and when I asked if they had one she said they were out and started trying to ramble through some items on the kids menu from memory, FAIL. She had no idea what was on it and walked to the bar to find a copy. She brought my boyfriends beer to the table overflowing wasting half of it on the floor and dumped the remaining on the table, instead of offering to clean it she simply drug our drink coaster threw it in attempt to throw more on the floor and less on the table, says "I made a mess" and walked away... never offering to come back and clean the spilt beer off of the table! We havent even received our food yet, but I can tell you that if it wasnt for my 8 year old son at this table with me, we would have walked out by now. If they dont hire better service theyll never make it! Were very displeased and disappointed as we thought we had found a new place to frequent.

Myself and 7 others attempted to eat dinner here tonight. We waited over 20 min for our appetizers. Our waitress multiple times apologized for our wait. She kept insisting how busy they were. I couldnt see it. After over an hr wait on our food it came out most was cold. When I confronted the "manager". She stated the best she could do was a 20% discount. Had I not felt bad for our waitress I would have nothing and walked out. We will never be back and I will do my best to warn people not to go the this restaurant.

Awesome food. The crackers for the oysters were stale oysters themselves were fresh phenomenal service exceptional and everyone made it an awesome experience would come here time and time again not just if I was living here or but if I was stopping by or traveling through definitely a must stop and see Place establishment or should I say the building has been here for over a hundred years definitely one of the best places in Plant City Florida

"Top Shelf" is not a good description more like call brand. During the monthly car show they are deserted with one employee then as more people came they still had 1 employee. Absolutely a joke, how do you staff a restaurant/bar with one person on a day when 400 people are coming for a car show? Sadly food is OK and the one employee is nice but wow this is sad. Please add an employee. One year later never improved, shocked it is stil here.

Raw oysters were a great size. Fried pickles hot and fresh. Boneless chicken was cut in strips not chucks which is no biggie and excellently seasoned. I had garlic parmesan. Beer selection was not huge but still had a local craft beer. Server brought food as it was ready so there really wasnt a wait time on the food. But it does say food is cooked to order. Id rather my chicken be done than be at my table fast.

Service was quick for our beer but after that went downhill quick. Our server was focused on the men at the bar more than anyone else she served. We waited at least 30 minutes for our appetizer which was ONLY nachos.... They were not that great at all. My husband and I finished our beer before the food came and she never asked if we wanted another... Will never recommend to anyone!

We waited at least 30 mins for our drinks to be refilled. Our food took even longer. Wings came out very cold. 2 dozen oysters didnt have any sauce or butter with them. When asking for them, took a very long time to bring them out. Service was just very, very slow and there was no reason for it. It is a small place and there was 3 girls serving.

We held a high school reunion event and everything was awesome. Zee went above and beyond to make our night special. She was always thinking of things to add a nice special touch to our event. The entire staff was excellent and the food was even better. 5 Star all the way!

The waitress was exceptionally pleasant, but again the food, while it was good, took a very long time to get and there where only two of us ordering food. This has been the case several times and if it were not for that we would come more often!

Nice place. Although, if you are going to run a sports bar, being open at night, like past 9pm is mandatory. Big games are generally played at night, so being open when those games are being played should be a priority.

Sherri served us and was very friendly. Our food came so quickly. My husband had the Phillie hoagie, loved it. My son had boneless wings and was thrilled with all the sauce. Great atmosphere, very home town feeling.

One of the nicest bars in plant city, located in the downtown historic district. Ive only been there a couple of times, but it is seemed pretty quiet and the service was great.
