Beautiful venue. Friendly and professional staff. Been here twice. The tater tots are amazing as well as the fries. Unfortunately, the burger was awful. It was overcooked when I received it. I asked for the burger medium rare when ordered. Now Im not a big stickler about this. If it was just well-done I would have gladly eaten it. Medium rare is just my preference. However, the burger was quite dry and tough. It was so dry the outside of the burger was dull and matte. But no worries, I decided to mention it to the server which is a first for me at any restaurant. The server promptly told the kitchen, and they had another burger out within 3 minutes. Crazy fast. I was very excited, and the burger was dripping in juice. Unfortunately, again there was a problem. This burger was VERY raw. And the way it was brought out, it almost seemed if it was raw on purpose. Now Im giving benefit of the doubt. My best friend who took me here speaks extremely highly of this establishment, and his food looked great. He said this has never happened. I didnt return the second burger, nor mention it to the server Guapo. However, I could not eat it. It was physically cold in the middle. So I paid the bill and we left. I will return next time Im in town and hope that we go there, because I want to see if it was a one time thing. My friend and I suspect it was an off night for whichever chef was working tonight around 8:30 pm. My reccomendation, check the meat before you eat. Otherwise, a good restaurant.

The Feve is one of the few bars in Oberlin, but even if it werent, it would still be just as busy. The atmosphere, with local artwork on the walls and the occasional band, is cosmopolitan but not too high-brow. There is an ample liquor and beer selection at reasonable prices in both the upstairs and downstairs bars. And most importantly, their burgers, tots, and the rest of the menu for that matter are delicious and have a classic "Feve" character to them. Their weekend brunch is also a unique tradition that should continued to be explored. The only detracting qualities of the Feve is that service is certainly on the slow end for a restaurant of its size, and some of the waiters tend to seem forgetful. However, they appear to be very accommodating in accepting alterations of items on the menu. Also, prices for food are slightly higher than the typical restaurant in rural north-central Ohio, but this is a price worth paying. Still, people coming from urban environments will consider the food to be somewhat inexpensive.

Oh, why do I love the Feve? For one, it has the best tater tots this side of the Cuyahoga/Mississippi/Hudson Rivers. It is also home to the best pancakes (a scrumptious component of its stupendous weekend brunch and weekday morning menus). Its burgers are phenomenal, even though they have to be cooked well-done to kill off flesh-eating bacteria (get the Feve Burger; it will not disappoint). The Feve has a fantastic selection of alcoholic beverages, and specials on drinks each night that are easy on the wallet. Should you find yourself in town or in need of a break from the monotonous chain restaurants and fast food joints that dot all too much of the American landscape, do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal at The Feve. With Feve food in your stomach, and alcohol from the Feves bar coursing through your bloodstream, you can be sure that the good times will never stop rolling.

Went by bicycle on Sunday, a 16 mile journey, to find a short line. We gave our name to the hostess who was also serving tables and she said the wait would be 20 minutes. About 12 minutes into our wait, we watched two people walk right in and get seated by the same hostess who had taken our name. I brought it to her attention immediately and believe it or not, she did nothing to make it right....not even an "I am sorry" was offered. I will call and see what the owner thinks about our first experience. To be continued. *Updated 9/22/2013 The owner made it right when reached by phone, we visited today to enjoy our brunch. Excellent food and the breakfast "Bloody Mary" a must. Looking forward to another visit to Oberlin, this time for a late lunch or dinner option.

Like everyone else in Oberlin I love the Feve for everything. But I will say this, I no longer go there for brunch because the last three times the service has been awful and everyone was extremely rude. The new boy they have seating people is basically worthless and has a really bad attitude. I know that its stressful there on Saturday and Sunday mornings but twice I was with one other person and my infant! There was no excuse for treating us badly. The food is great and generally the service is too but after three times of being treated like my patronage didnt matter at Feve Brunch (one of my favorite times to go) I will never be going back to brunch again.

Best restaurant in Oberlin! (Probably Lorain county too). Easy seating, open-minded and friendly staff, but lets get to the best part: the food If you dont get tots, youre crazy. The Feve burgers are huge and are much better than Dads (but dont tell him that). My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken shistawok without blue cheese. And everything is around $8, so you can spare a few bucks on a Rum DMC. You can also rent out the upstairs space for parties/reuinions/awkward work Christmas parties where your boss gives everyone a blanket with the company logo instead of a bonus.

What a great staple in Oberlin. I enjoy the Feve brunch the most (served Saturday and Sunday) they have options that are much different than your average eggs and bacon. But I stick with my favorite, the basic breakfast. It includes Yukon gold potatoes, a mixed greens salad, that has my favorite dressing ( garlic balsamic vinaigrette), eggs, Baggett and I usually add meat. And, of course, coffee. Check out the brunch menu on their website. It changes each weekend.

This is a nice place for lunch or dinner. Lots of vegetarian options and delicious tots! The beer selection is simple, but not ordinary. The clientele is very diverse; professors, citizens of Oberlin, parents of students, students themselves, and sometimes a large man in a dress. The real magic of the Feve happens during brunch. Their menu seems to have its staples of favorites and traditional fares. They seem to change it with seasonal availability.

Very tasty brunch! There were a dozen or so people queued up at 9:30 on a Sunday at opening for brunch, but the kitchen and servers were on top of it and we were seated right at opening and got our dishes promptly. Menu is brunch classics, but with little twists to keep it interesting (e.g. who thinks of putting horseradish cream sauce on potato Gouda quiche? - but it works!!) Plus fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit for your mimosas. Yum!

Not from the area however expected a burger to look and taste like one. This one seemed to be something that was machine formed (perfect size and thickness all around), almost like a slice of meatloaf. Asked for medium, yet mine and other burgers at the table all looked alike. Maybe that is the way they are at this place. Enjoyed the ambiance of a college town eatery however. Would try again, however maybe something different.
