Excellent because it is what it is. Its a joint. You have two choices: burger or rib sandwich. Dont call it a blues burger or ask for fries. Dont ask for a diet coke. It aint that kind of place. What you get is magic, in my humble opinion. For years, this little place has delivered food to the blue collar, white collar and everyone else. You might not love the food, but you should experience it at least once. It is prepared as you order it, assembled the same way food has come out of the kitchen for years, and definately makes a statement. I would say it has love in it, but Im not sure the guy in the kitchen would approve. It is obvious that he cares about his food. Price? I havent been since the price increase. Too bad, I thought it was a bargain at $2.50 but times change. There are cheaper alternatives but you are interested in something that tastes great, right?

Im not sure what all these good reviews are about, this was by far one of the worst burgers Ive ever had. First the patty absolutely crumbled to pieces and was more grease than burger. I got the BBQ sauce on my burger and the sauce had little to no flavor. The bun was more of a sponge than a bun as all it was good for was soaking up the grease. The burger as a whole had a very strange flavor that it seemed they tried to cover up with the excessive amounts of condements. The restaurant itself is very strangly operated running on cash only with no way of tracking cash flow as no order is ever rung up on the register. The whole building is pretty run down and I feel has questionable food safety practices. As a whole I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.

It is very interesting to see the owner come out and take all of the orders and not write anything down and everyones burgers still come out right. He is far from the soup nazi! Hes actually a very nice guy and willing to take special orders as long as it dont include adding cheese to your burger. Now for the burgers, they were JUST OKAY at best. Especially considering this is the only thing on his menu, it should be 110 percent perfection and its not. I have traveled through 34 of the 50 states and parts of Canada and have been to a number of places that stomp all over blue dots burgers. $5 for a single burger alone is robbery!

The building isnt pretty, the owner takes your order and doesnt write it down, the menu is a burger (chips and a drink, if you please, but nothing fancy!) and ribs, and dont ask for your burger to be altered from its original form. But, as one other reviewer described it, what you have here is magical. The meat is fresh, picked up every day before opening, and when they sell out, thats it. This place has been around since 1947, so obviously, theyre doing something right. Dont be uptight, dont be disrespectful, and mind the line.

Burgers are amazing! The place looks kind of shady though. Youll have to wait a bit for your order but its well worth it. Want to make sure youre standing at the counter & know what you want. They only sell a certain amount of burgers everyday. The guy who takes your order reminds me of the Soup Nazi lol :) Hell take a couple orders go back and prepare them with another person, hands out the food & cashes out.... does this several times, so make sure you speak up!

This place is definitely definitely weird but you have to try it you can see the attached menu. you can only order off that menu. Very Local. Good people. Be ready NO cheese available. Dont ask. The guy kind of reminds me of the soup nazi but friendlier from Seinfeld. The double is huge. Messy but worth trying. I have to catch it right and try the ribs they are only serve on the second and fourth Sunday only, and you have to order before 11 AM to get any.

Recently went for lunch with a friend. I had never experienced the place until then. It is deff a questionable look, very simple but I saw all walks of life ordering. After eating the burger I was sold and will continue to go. 1 Negative is the wait, set aside a good amount of time or call ahead.....it takes a while to get your food. Only one guy stands behind the register and takes 5 different orders at once and comes back with everyones at the same time.

Mr. Dot came out and took my order and proceed with the process. For quality you can tell this burger is fresh and straight off the grill. The whole burger itself flowed and had a great texture. I would definitely go back pain got the double stack with bbq yumm. The only thing I wish is if you could pay with card but its definitely a old school shack so... But blue dot rocks my socks ps he knows the prices down to the tax thats cray cray

Unmarked aside from the subtle blue exterior, Blue Dot has great burgers and BBQ. The BBQ wont last long and they might close early if they sell out of burgers. Its favorite burger in town and its an amazing mouth watering burger smothered in mayo and topped with a tomato that is seasoned with salt and pepper. Man its good! Be advised - No Tank Tops - its on the wall inside.

Traveled extensively for business and pleasure through 47/50 states. This was potentially the best burger I have ever had. Check your attitude and pride in the parking lot though. Every one is treated equal once inside- low. Actually a fun experience if you have a good attitude; people too good for others- stay away. 5-Stars Blue Dot! Thank You!

By far the best hamburger I have ever eaten. I used to visit Blue Dot a lot when I worked downtown but now only get to stop by on Saturdays. This burger is far better than anything you can get at Wendys or Five Guys. I love to see that places like this are still open. Is it greasy, yes but what good burger isnt?

The burger was juicy but very messy. You are limited on your options and the fact that they not offer cheese for the burger made it less appealing. If I went back I would try a burger without the BBQ because it was a little too much. All in all a nice loach place that obviously have a huge fan base.

A Pensacola staple! This place definitely lives up to the hype. The burger was fresh, hot, and delicious. So much so, that I had to get another one after I finished my first. As others have said, this is not where you go if you want to "have it your way," but believe me, his way is best.

I have never had their burger.........I give them POOR rating due to their hours. We have tried for over a year to eat there but they are never there. I have spent more in gas trying to get a burger than what the burger costs. I will not waste any more time with this company.
