Comprehensive review: The Mofongo tasted good, the first time that I visited on a weekday; the service was good to on a weekday, however the second time I went there on a Sunday, with my mother, and the service was horrible! The service and ambiance: the cook is responsible for keeping the music extremely loud that we cannot have a casual comfortable conversation with your family. If you ask them to lower the volume, they frown and dont do it. People who frequented the place were yelling like drunken in a low class bar. The food: seasoned with heavy artificial flavors, that makes the food flavorful, but very unhealthy. I ordered one dish and my mother another. 15 mins after they told us that they did not have the ingredients for my mother dish. She ordered another and five minutes later again they did not have the ingredients for the other. To make matters worst, they brought my dish first and I just gave it to my mother. They took another 40 minutes and nothing the second dish. I asked the to cancel it for the bad experiences. Then gave me a hard time to cancel and at that point they brought the second dish to the cashier area. Finally the dish was canceled. Needless to say that I will never recommend this place to friends or family. The area: looks unhygienic outside. The plaza where its located looks raggedy. I dont know how this place have today such high score in google reviews. At the most its a 2 stars place. I will never go again.

The food is actually delicious and the portions are plentiful. I only gave it 3 stars because the place could use a lot of TLC and remodeling, but in all honesty, its a pretty God restaurant. Theres always music playing in the background. The lunch menu is actually available all day which is good for people like me who eat smaller portions. Although their portions are so big that I can usually share my food with my daughter and still get full. I really like that about this restaurant. You will never leave hungry or wanting another bite. They make sure of that. Many of their patrons go in for beer and conversation in the evening, but it is a family friendly place. Its a shame that they dont put a little more effort into how the place looks because it could really use a remodeling job.

If i could rate zero stars i would . Waitress was not attentive at all , food was burnt and dry .barely touched it brought it to her attention and she told me its how it comes didnt bother to switch it out for something diffrent . shell walk away while im still speakimg to her . Sticky tables. Terrible customer service. Any other restaurant but this one. She sucked . the meal i got sucked but over all they have great lemonade ✌ wont be eating here but i will grab some lemonade

Horrible horrible service. Not a clean restaurant. My boyfriend and I sat at a table that literally had a layer of dirt/dust on it. We had to ask the waitress to clean the table. We waited one hour and 20 minutes for our food which is unfortunate because the food was actually really good.

Chivo is excellent! Place is in a little hole in the wall Plaza, but the place is very clean, service is good and super busy! Tastiest Chiivo Ive had! Will definitely come back when I want that authentic Dominican sazón! Great place! Absolutamente delicioso!

This place is a hole in the wall- if youre expecting ambiance, this is not for you. But if you want comfort food a la caribeña, give this place a try. The people are nice, and the food is delicious! Made fresh, as if you were in your Abuelas house.
