Lunch in downtown Winston can be an adventure. There are lots of unique places to try and the food choices vary greatly, providing a lot of opportunities for different preferences and choices. Courtside left me a little disappointed. It is a cafeteria-style cafe (there are also made-to-order items) near the courthouse. This style makes it very quick and it is moderately priced. The food, however, was a bit lacking. I had the pork tenderloin and two sides. The pork and its flour-based breading lacked flavor, save for the salt and pepper I have to coat it in to make it register with my taste buds. The mashed potatoes were made from powder and tasted very little like real homestyle mashed potatoes. In fact, the only lumps were poorly dissolved poweder lumps. The only bright point was the broccoli casserole which was padded with calories but tasty. Overall, however, I was disappointed at what my $8 had given me. Ill return to try this place again as I am never one to stop with first impressions, but the pork will not be my entree of choice. Hopefully your lunch experience will be tastier than my first.

I absolutely love this place. Not to mention the employees, they are all so very friendly and nice including the owners. I work near by so they are my first choice for Breakfast and Lunch. I would have dinner there too if they were open. I read a comment from five years ago were someone talks about the pork tenderloins not having flavor. I find that hard to believe since it is my favorite meat there. Specially with their Gravy. I definitely would recommend this place. Even the prices are the best in the area.
