We stop here a lot on Saturday nights because its on the way home from our church service. No matter how busy it looks we have never had to wait for a table. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. The decor is kitchy south of the border. Normally I dont like restaurants with a ton of things on display because they invariably dont dust and its gross to see a pile of dust surrounding you while you are eating. If they dont clean here I wouldnt know because the interior is so dark that I couldnt see anyway. The menu is filled with Tex-Mex favorites like fajitas, tacos, and burritos. Dessert is of course a yummy fried ice cream, this version served with churros as well. They have weekday specials given to you on an insert with the menu. On this trip my daughter had a rib and barbeque chicken breast combination and I had the Chicken Maderia. Service is always prompt and friendly usually by young ladies. In the many times I have been here I have never had a problem with either food or service.

I am a guest at this Tijuana Taxi at least 3-4 times a week for lunch. And always sit inside at the bar. I enjoy the staff and bartenders very much. I also occasionally eat here at night and sit outside with my dog. I have always called in advance and asked if I can bring my dog. I was told by multiple staff memebers that I could bring him, the staff loves him and no one sits outside on a hot Tuesday night. Today during my weekly visit I was asked to leave. I had just sat down and served a drink. The manager that came outside was so rude. I will NEVER be coming back to this location again. The only reasoning he could provide was "we do not allow pitbulls or big dogs." What a total joke. You just lost a very loyal guest and I am so disappointed in the kind of mindset of a "family oriented" restaurant. My dog was laying at my feet, not engaging with anyone. I was not only allowed but welcomed for the last couple weeks and suddenly today "no big dogs allowed".

While nothing here is necessarily bad nothing here is really that great either especially when there are so many other choices for better Tex-Mex style food around here. The service here is really good, the staff is attentive and friendly. The margaritas were also really good except for the watermelon one, it tasted way too sweet and syrupy. Their menu is huge there is everything youd expect like tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, and stuff you dont like a whole section for hamburgers. I think ultimately it hurts the food quality because a lot of the stuff taste like it was premade or previously frozen, like the one jalapeño popper we got that was hot on the outside but cold on the inside. Nothing else about the food was bad but nothing was exceptional either hence the three stars. Im sure whatever they are doing is working for them because they are always busy but there are better options out there for Tex-Mex food.

Date: 3/16/09 Guests: Me & Wife Waitress: Johanna 1) The Good: The food tasted good. Nice hostess. Nice waitress. 2) The Bad: Very cold inside the restaurant. The waitress forgot to refill my nacho salsa dip after I asked (she continued to serve other walk in customers and I also saw her walking around and chatting with co-workers, I had to flag her down after waiting for a WHILE staring down my nacho chips). I had to ask her for a soda refill instead of her offering to do so. I had to ask for napkins instead of her offering knowing that I had only ONE sheet of napkin which wrapped the silverware and so did my wife. I asked for a to go box and she did not give a bag to put the box in, what if the salsa from the food in the box accidentally spilled in my car?? Things like that CAN happen. And again, it was VERY cold inside the restaurant. It felt like the Mexican North Pole.

I normally order delivery so this is a delivery only review. we use both Delivery dudes and doorstop delivery. Both deliver fast and at a price you cant ignore. As for the food... NOM.NOM.NOM... the skirt steak is just awesome, over the different delivery we have tried many items each has had real flavor and was never overcooked. They must plan for deliver as the food always arrives PERFECT.. If your a skirt steak fan like I am you know delivery is always a hit or mis. Never with them. Chicken dishes, ribs, seafood.. you name it its just.. well...perfect.... Eating inside is just as pleasant although Fridays and weekends are rough. The newbie wait staff can be annoying but they get better after a week or so. You cant go wrong with this place.. just order how you would want it and wait. you will either e a fan or you want but no mater what you will leave with a belly full.

After bringing my dog here a few times i went one a very late tuesday night to have dinner outside with my wife and dog. I was told by a staff member that no dogs are allowed unless they are under 5 pounds. 5 pounds? After reading the reviews I am no longer surprised by this. Especially since the managers of this resturant seem to discriminate against specific dog breeds. as my wife was out with our 25lb pitbull puppy. The manager called the server in to tell her PITBULLS are not allowed, while much larger dogs were there outside. The server asked the manager to tell us as she was embarrassed by this. But he never came outside. Does this not sound like the actions of a coward, a bigot? Who knew they were wrong? Shameful people run this restaurant. Lost ANOTHER loyal customer.

The food here is consistently delicious as my family and I eat hear 2-3 times a month. The service is always great and quite pleasing to the eye! I have ordered most of the items from the menu at one time or another but have a draw towards there skirt steak that is hard to resist. Great deals thru the week for the kids as well on Sunday they eat for $.99. Last Sunday we ordered our meal I guess a little before the 5-9pm kids deal takes effect and when we go our bill it reflected regular price for the kids. Even though it was my error, the manager changed the check to reflect the deal. I will watch the clock better in the future but I thought that was very nice of him and its customer service like that which brings paying customers back. Excellent establishment
