I had a couple of hours to kill in the area and started looking on Yelp and Google Maps for good places and a couple caught my eye, I decided on Los Autenticos and Im really glad I did. I started with the cortadito, but a double. I didnt recognize the brand of espresso/coffee they used which was nice to not have the typical Bustelo. It was rich and the steamed/frothed milk was perfect. For food I got the ropa vieja, white rice, black beans and a side of tostones with the garlic mojo (dipping sauce). The ropa was juicy and flavorful, not salty but perfectly seasoned. The green peppers in the mix still had a bit of their crunch which always is a sign of a well executed ropa, for me at least, I dont like mushy green peppers. The beans were super tasty and the white rice was just right and had a great texture. The tostones were the largest and most unusual cut Ive ever had but they were super tasty and perfect, then they got even better when dipped in the garlicky mojo. If youre in Orlando and love good food and rich coffee, you owe it to yourself to visit!

The last time I went there I was treated horrible. They made some changes to the place, so now you go straight to the middle counter to order. I didnt know that, so I went to where the register is to order and pay like every time I went there before. I was the second in line, but after the people in front of me left I stood in front of the cashier for about 5 minutes waiting to be attended. At that time I notice another line in the other side. I asked the cashier and he told me: that line is to order, I dont know what are you doing here. to what I answered: But Ive been here for a long time and you were jut looking at me like some kind of weird animal. you could have told me that before. The guy just grabbed some papers turn his back on me and left like I wasnt even there. It was the first time I saw that guy working there, so I dont know if the place have new owners or if he is just a new employee. I never had that kind of experience there before, therefore, I will never go back, and Im sharing the experience with all my friends at FSU.

The delivery person was not good with understanding the directions and couldnt find my apartment complex. The drive was suppose to be 30 minutes but instead it ended up turning out to be more than an hour. A was very patient and kind and not once was I being rude and tried to help her to the best of my abilities. I never got a call saying Im sorry but we or I cant deliver the food to you but instead I was made out to look as if I did not know what I was talking about even though she had a GPS. A man with an attitude called asking for more informarion about the directions but eventually seemed to calm down. I called 3 times wanting to say to forgot about the delivery, did not get any respond from anyone and also called the number back of the man and it led straight to voicemail. Will not be asking for delivery from this place ever again. Also the adress I told her has been the same adress I been using for every place that delivers and not once has someone gotten lost.

They shouldnt advertise authentic Cuban food if they cant make it. FIY cafe con leche is supposed to be creamy and almost decadent, aside flavorful, the media noche is supposed to be stuffed. Not simply made with one slice of pork, one slice of ham and something that looked like ground pickles. Cuban food is to be savory, fulfilling and comforting. I appreciate the effort theyre putting into the place, and the disclaimer about them working seven days a week but dont boast to be authentic Cuban food because you arent. Not by a long shot. Every single Cuban grandmother (including mine) is turning in their graves. Put more cumin, olive oil, serve generous portions, use real cream etc...put some soul into it. It sucks i have to give a bad review. I like supporting small business but this was very disappointing. Next time I want to eat Hispanic food La Lechonera will do.

This might be my favorite Cuban cafe in town. Ive been there twice; one time to eat lunch and another time to pickup a to-go order I placed through the Yelp app. They had it ready within 10 minutes! The flavors here are super authentic, and they have all the traditional items you could ask for on their menu. The Cuban sandwich here is EXCELLENT. It also comes with these little homemade plantain chips that are quite addicting. :) I havent yet ventured into other items on their menu, but they really have it all...and more on their menu than the nearby "modern" Cuban cafes that only have a handful of items available. Nothing against the modern Cuban cafes, as they have great flavor, too...this place just has way more to offer. Definitely check it out! Theyve been here a long time I hear, too.

The food is delicious, and its very sad that thats all I could enjoy of the experience. My coworkers and I ordered our food and was told it would only take 45 minutes to deliver our food, which is great. Well over 2 hours later and we were still waiting for our food. They were unapologetic and didnt care that our hot sandwiches were cold. We had ordered from them many times and never have we been treated so badly. I recommend their food, but please save yourself the headache and pick it up yourself. Its not worth saving the gas to get it delivered.

I spent $10 on the steak and onions with a side of white rice and beans and tostones. Worst I have eaten. My rice was grainy and hard, steak had no flavor and was smaller than the palm of my hand, beans were alright, and the tostones were undercooked. I heard a lot of great reviews about this restaurant, but today was such a big disappointment and loss of money. I couldnt have gotten the same thing at Bravo or La Lechonera for less price and a whole lot better quality.

When it comes to Cuban sandwiches, I love this place. The servings are big and you get a side of plantain chips which are really yummy, too. You would assume that something that has just a few ingredients would be fairly consistent throughout restaurants, but not so. There is a huge difference and Los Autenticos does not disappoint. Go to the small, but full of taste, restaurant if you want a really good Cuban Sandwich.

Ordered a media noche and some guayaba and guayaba con queso pastries the other day. The sandwich was good, but not stellar. It was not melt in your mouth delicious, it just was; perhaps rather greasy. The pastries were dry and under filled, terrible pastry to filling ratio. I imagine they were made earlier in the morning and had dried out by the time I ordered. Would eat again if I was hungry enough*

One of the best cuban cafes in town. They offer all the standard items, with big portions at great prices. My favorite is the Media Noche, which is a Cuban sandwich but served on sweet bread. They also serve breakfast items, but I havent tried it out yet, If youre into good, straightforward Cuban food, you owe it to yourself to check out Los Autenticos!
