Terrible experience while visiting. My family and I came to visit St. Augustine for memorial weekend. We have been here a few times and have been to the cafe before but have never been treated with such rudeness and disrespect as now. After a long afternoon of walking around the town we decided to get ice cream we headed out to the cafe. Once we got there it took a while for someone to even acknowledged we were waiting we were ignored for a while. we let it go it thinking its a Sunday afternoon and they must be tired. We ordered our ice cream and took a seat inside waiting for the rest of our party. My nephew and my brother were out buying fries for my 7yo nephew and my 1yo niece. They did not know about their no outside food policy and we were not aware of it at the moment. Before even entering the cafe a staff member from te café rudely told my brother and nephew to get out of the restaurant with that food. My brother tried explaining he didnt know about it and that it was only food for his kids. The lady responded rudely infront of my 7yo nephew that it was none of her business if he was hungy and hot she didnt want them there. My brother walked away and sat at the tables outside the cafe. On the side of the cafe. He was not bothering anyone nor was anyone trying to sit there. It was just him and my nephew. The lady came to him again and told him he needed to get away from there that she didnt want them sitting anywhere near the cafe Again my brother tried explaining he didnt know that was part of the restaurant and since no one was sitting there if he could just let my nephew finish his food. She said it was none of her business if he was hungry for him to grab his son and get out of her property. My brother asked not to be rude in front of his son as he didnt want him to feel embarrassed In front of the people walking around them. She in response got loud and told them to get out of her property that they were never welcomed there again. I will absolutely never come here again. There is so many ways she could have handled that. Especially in front of a child. It took absolutely nothing from her for them to eat their food outside and leave.

This place is awesome. I also was there the day the lady was yelled at. It wasnt as bad as the other review makes it out to be. The lady had her hand in the jar that they provide spoons from. I dont know about you but I prefer clean utencils to eat with. Also this lady didnt asked all courageous and tell off the owner. No one did. Bottom line is this place is awesome and I would take anyone there 7 days a ask. The service is awesome and the coffee and gelato are the best in north east Florida. Hands down. If you want an accurate review, go there, they give free samples, see for yourself.

During a hot summer day walking the streets of St. Augustines Historic District, we stopped in for a quick late afternoon gelato. Pay first, then bring your receipt to the gelato guys to fill your order. Of course we loved it. Also enjoyed the decor of the room, especially their old-style chairs with leather strap backings. All in all... a wonderful place for a gelato break!

Ive been going here for years...at least 10 years, I think! I usually get the stracciatella gelato. Sad they didnt have any today, but I got to try the days special, peanut butter. Straccicatella is still my favorite, but I enjoyed the peanut butter gelato, too. Its usually busy, but definitely worth it for that fresh made gelato.

Great lunch for the price. Im no light eater but I recommend splitting a salad here. The paninis are decent. Especially if youre planning on having one of their varitous deserts (gelatos, floats, frozen drinks...). It is a little crowded at lunch and a bit warm. The atmosphere is nice, featuring an old world Italian feel.

A nice stop along the path. Good sandwich selection and lots of gelato. Just be patient as there can be a slight wait for the food. The food made up for any wait and the guys working where friendly and clearly tried to keep on track. In all I would recommend it for a good sandwich.

Havent tried the food here, yet. But the Gelatto is OH MY GOD GOOD. They will let you try as many flavors as you like before picking one to eat. The only caveat is that you have to walk around the corner of the dining area to pay for your gelatto first then bring the receipt around.

Used to have great Coppa to Share. Today the staff got lazy and served the dish half made. Used to love the place. Today, Mateusz Wrobel and the Shift Manager had a lazy, uncaring attitude. Ended up throwing it out and getting ice cream down the street.

Must have hit an off day. Post lunch rush, emptying out, 2 sandwiches and a salad took 40mins to come out. Prior folks with us also ordered Greek salads: ours had feta - none on theirs . Theirs had kalamatos - ours did not. Slow inconsistent today...

Eat lunch somewhere else, and save room for the gelato here! The counter folks are super friendly and gelato is amazing. Every time we go to St. Augustine we make a few stops here. It never disappoints!

I ordered coffees for me and my family. The coffee was good. They didnt take Discover as payment so Im deducting a star. Accepting payment is the cost of doing business. At least the coffee was good.

The gelato is good but thats about all they have going. Terrible customer service, the owners just want to make money. Try some of the other gelato places downtown. Same quality but much friendlier!

I really enjoyed the gelato! I heard that they make it everyday, and it seemed to be true (they brought out ~2 more flavors while I was there). I, also, got a coffee drink which was really good.

Food was terrific! Meatballs for the meatball parmesan panini are homemade. New York panini was very flavorful. Customer service was excellent!! Would recommend and will definitely go back.

Service was slow. Waited a while for our food. Not much of a kids menu With only 2 items to choose from. Other than that food was very good. Highly recommend the Seminole delight.

Gelato is oh-so-yummy! A little pricey but its a tourist area, so dont be surprised. Also tried the chicken panini with a side of ranch dressing for dipping - delicious :-)

Yummy and yummy! Best Gelato I have tasted. Be sure to sample flavors before the final decision. Would be 5 stars if the price menu was accurate.
