Gringos... where do I begin? I believe my love of queso and all things tacos began with Moes, but since discovering Gringos everything has changed. Little did I know after my move to Orlando that on my drive home from work I would pass by a restaurant that would change my life, forever. If I could have Gringos Double D Pork Tacos with a 4 oz of queso for every single meal, believe me I would. But then I would be broke and fat, and no one wants that. The flavoring of the meat ignites fireworks within my mouth, its like Independence Day but for tacos. The way that the queso keeps together the hard shell and the soft shell taco is reminiscent of the satisfaction gained from gluing your fingers together and slowly pulling them apart as a child. I could never forget the perfectly sliced tomatoes and lettuce within this epic creation that fold together perfectly, like your fingers in the hands of the love of your life. There is no better taco, because if there were a better taco the world would simply implode, Gringos is truly perfection. I thought about it today, while eating Gringos, and I realized I have to live in Orlando for the rest of my life because I can never live without having Gringos Locos Tacos at least once a week, forever. It gives me reason to live, reason to push forward and finish my homework so I can get my masters degree to get a job so that I can buy more tacos. Gringos, you are my soulmate.

I usually go to the location by the milk district and this is the first time I went to the downtown location. The downtown is superior in every way. More food options (empanadas, dont mind if I do!) and larger space for seating (indoor seating); they participate in the 4-8 happy hour. The beef empanadas were seasoned very well and had a hint of sweetness to it - which I loved. My tacos, street tacos tasted the same as the other location -tasted great like they normally do. The only thing was that they didnt let you take home chips and salsa for to go orders - I was sadden by that result - but the place was still great.

The food is pretty good, I love the queso. My only thing which kind of put a bad taste in my mouth was that when I came there and ordered my food at 7:55 just before happy hour ended, some people a head of me kept playing around and not moving on. Had it been a normal pace, I would have made it to the cashier by 8. The cashier even was like guys, you got to keep the line moving. When I got to the cashier, it was only a minute or two after happy hour, I asked if I could still get the happy hour and was denied. I work in food service too, and looking at what happened, I still would have honored me that price.

This place is great and really affordable! I mean, they had $2 tacos. I went to lunch on my break and it was PACKED. Best to go on a day you might have a little extra time. That being said the food is AH-MAZING. Fresh, quality ingredients.. which makes or breaks Mexican joints for me. The names for the menu items are quirky and sex related which adds a little taboo chatter in the cashier line. You order, get a number, fill up at the fountain station, and then its just a quick wait for a wide selection of chicken, beef, shrimp- tacos, burritos, enchiladas.. you name it. Just go. Go... Go already!

Ordered a burrito that was supposed to contain ground beef, chicken, sour cream, lettuce, pico, nacho cheese. All I tasted was some frozen ground beef with taco seasoning you can buy from the store. Cutting into the burrito it was a greasy mess and not at all appetizing. Guac tasted like lemon and rotten avocados. The only reasoning Im giving them 2 stars is because their queso was amazing. Really enjoyed it. Super small portion for the price and served with what I can only assume was store bought stale corn chips which they warmed in a microwave until they lost their crunch.

Lets establish that the tacos here are the best Ive ever had... ever. I could go on about the good about the place, but let me focus on improvement areas. The staff overall are pretty friendly, but they could do a better job being attentive to what the customer is saying sometimes. The prices are generally pretty good, but the fact that you order a meal without chips and salsa was a little annoying. But the price for two tacos, chips and guac with no drink was 9 bucks, which isnt the worst in the world. Overall best tacos, you have to try it.

Decent food, nice enough staff, but food portions are very small and the prices high at lunch for what you get. Ive been here a couple times for lunch, and both times was very disappointed in the amount of food that is given. It tastes fine, not great or amazing. The food is not as good as other similar restaurants for sure. I think this place is a product of online herd mentality, creating an unrealistic upward spiral of positive reviews. I really wanted this place to live up to the hype, but it just doesnt.

If you havent tried Gringos Locos tacos, you have not truly lived to the fullest. Hands down the best place to eat after youve had a couple drinks downtown. Flavor-filled, greasy and satisfying, you will not be disappointed by anything on the menu - especially if it has queso in it! My go to order is the chicken Double Ds. once you have these, you wont want to order anything else. I also love that you can get Hawaiian punch in a can here. Gringos also does catering, which is great for events!

Melissa I believe her name was Melissa. I got 2 different names every time I asked. She was working the grill. I noticed she made sure she cleared the grill prior to adding any other meat on It. I defiantly appreciated the consideration considering that I am vegetarian . I wish the people working the register were like her due to the fact that I do no eat meat . She was the only one I noticed that took my dietary needs into consideration. Shout out to Melissa.

If youre looking for an upbeat, fun environment this is the place to go. Its located in "restaurant row" for a reason, they have an awesome deck to view the lake after dinner, along with an outside bar thats always packed, but they have so many bartenders on that the drinks come out fast and taste great per usual. Id definitely suggest to make a reservation if its passed 5pm, perfect for people watching and networking if youre up to it!

This is an excellent little place to get a quick bite of tasty food. Great location and theyre open so late. This place is always high in my "favorite places to eat downtown" list. The food isnt anything ground breaking but its well made and tastes great. The burritos are enormous so I would day the portion sizes are fitting for the price. I personally recommend the mouth hugger burrito!

I have been here many times and just like every other start up restaurant Ive been let down. It was amazing the first few visits and now its slowly going downhill. Confidence meets neglect. The food and staff was terrible and this is the last time we will all come here. Its dirty and the food is gross. I cant believe how much they have changed since my first few visits. Wont be coming back.
