I got back from China and craved the far Eastern Delights of Hot Pot daily. Though expensive, Danketsu delivered the goods. I got all my favorites in a spicy numbing szechuan broth that was top notch (despite the waiters repeated warnings NOT to order it. I get it, some people are wuss-bags.) The unlimited eats deal is expensive. Bring a date and your wallet. Expect to shell out around $60.00 easily for the two of you drinking only soft drinks or water. Standard rules apply. Ask for all you can eat, but eat all you ask for. Leaving food on the table is frowned upon in any culture, but more so in the east. Make sure you tip the wait staff. I dare you. Try keeping track of all the times they visit your table to drop something off or clear a plate. Its impossible. They give great service. If youre not into spicy, its cool, they have vegetable and meat broths that are savory and delicious. Mix and match with your eating partner(s) and get something different, or hoard your own bowl of the same. Up to you. Be sure to ask them to bring the kettle by to refill your pot if the water starts getting low. Sadly, this place is usually kind of empty, and I cant help thinking it has to do with the price. Hotto Potto up the road is much cheaper, but the VALUE is about the same when you figure you can eat yourself to bursting at Danketsu. Both are great establishments. I usually go here, of the two. Often theyll play Marvel movies in the background to break up what is usually another slow day. I dont expect this place to last long, but maybe itll make it. Drop by before it disappears!

My boyfriend and I went for the soft opening this evening. We live in the area and have been waiting months for it to open, because there isnt much for restaurant options, unless youre willing to brave the craziness that is Waterford Lakes. We walked in, and immediately noticed the decor. The restaurant is set up beautifully. We were greeted, by who we believe to be the manager, who sat us down and explained the seating is designed to cater to what menu options youd prefer. The menu consists of Hot Pot, sushi/nagiri, and Korean BBQ which is all you can eat. We decided wed like to try the BBQ which you cook right at your table on their grill, which is also offered in their outside seating area. We had the marinated short ribs, bulgogi (marinated ribeye), and marinated pork belly. When I say we couldnt stop eating is an understatement! The food is unbelievably incredible! Well be sure to be back regularly and because my boyfriend and I work late nights its awesome to find a place thats open late and provides fantastic cuisine! If you are looking for a unique and delicious new restaurant to try look no further!

Ive been to here twice. I think Danketsus ultimate flaw is that they try to do everything, and excel at nothing. If youre looking for Korean bbq, go to Korea House. If youre looking for hot pot, go to Hotto Potto. If you want sushi, go to Kabuki Sushi. I feel like the only reason this place gets decent reviews is by people who dont have much experience in k-bbq/hot pot/sushi. The bbq was pretty decent, but thats not why it receives a bad review. The hot pot is so flavorless that my dad said it taste like water, which is exactly what I was also thinking at that moment. There is also too few options for it, and they are usually out of half of them. We actually chosen a 7$ item, but was informed they had run out, but was still charged for it anyways. I also ordered an $18 plate that was worth $8, as it was so depressing the kid-sized amount that was given. Go here only for the unlimited Korean BBQ option. And also if you like a fancy setting (thats where all your moneys going towards)

Compared to Wasabi in Avalon (Great sushi with terrible decor) and 99 Sushi in Avalon (Great Sushi with an amazing atmosphere) i felt Danketsu was on par if not better than the two other restaurants. Danketsu has an amazing atmosphere with some really good sushi and drinks at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and were consistently checking up on our table throughout the night and we were even visited by who I would assume to be the manager/owner multiple times throughout the night showing they care about their customers. I can easily say I will be coming back to this establishment for years to come.

Im a regular at danketsu and they apparently do not care about complaints, I had a horrible experience with service and they are not owning up to their problems and trying to fix it, instead theres nothing that they cam do because my gf and I have had multiple problems here, we do not complain every time. College knights when we go we have a great time and great service but when we come other times we get horrible service, we rarely get checked on and we feel unwelcome and uncomfortable these other times and Dank does NOTHING. Their service and customer service is under par and that is UNACCEPTABLE to me.

The Korean cook yourself BBQ was absolutely amazing. And the interior of the restaurant was beautiful. They have late hours, which is great when you want to get away from steak and shake and fast food. The staff and manager were both wonderful and the food was great. Pricing was completely reasonable for all you can eat bbq that you can cook right in front of you!! I would totally recommend to anyone. Even if your skeptical. I wasnt too sure if I would like it, but my husband begged me to come in and Im so glad i did. 5 stars, and I guarantee we will be back.

Worst Korean food in Orlando. Our table ordered a variety of menu items, none we up to par. The sushi was okay. The bulgoki was cut too think, not seasoned well (or at all) and the dish was more than half onions. I consider this the most typical Korean dish. If you cant do bulgoki right you shouldnt call yourself a Korean restaurant. SAD The hot pot was barely edible, not enough season choices, and limited vegetable selection. All dishes were overpriced! Especially for the amount of meat offered. Beautiful decor and nice cooking table tops. Shame

I like eating here for the most part. Weird experience today when eating Korean BBQ. A lady was at the sauce/spice bar and was picking through one of the containers with her bare hand and tongs. Initially I thought it was a guest who just didnt have a very good sense of social conduct but then she lifted some of the containers out and took them to the back, Im guessing it was a manager or owner based on their clothing. If this is how theyre handling food in the front of house Im worried about how things are handled in the kitchen area.

I went with my friends on a Friday night. When we walked in we were given a free sushi plate which was delicious! I ordered the HotPot and my order was lost twice. Then, the HotPot didnt come out until all my friends were finished with their meals. The Hot Plate on the table didnt work, and the the menu conflicted with what the server said on what came with the HotPot Combo. In the end, me and my friends had a great time, but the restaurant is still young and is in need of some experience. I will update my review upon my next visit!
