April 28. First visit to beautiful Naples to see friends we hadnt seen in 20+ years and they wanted to take us someplace special. Yeah, right. Ironically, among other things our table-talk turned to people we knew who made a habit of complaining about every little thing to get a meal or room comped. Right about then I pulled a dark hair out of my mouth that had been in my pasta dish. My hairs gray so it wasnt mine. Called our server, told him and he said hed replace the dinner. Thanks to the hair and the resultant reduced appetite, I asked for a small portion of a different pasta dish. Great, it was hairless. Assuming there would be some "consideration", I got the bill and was surprised to see the full price charged. I called the waiter over and told him I expected something off the bill, he said, "We gave you another meal." I told him that was an unsatisfactory answer, thinking they couldnt have done anything LESS, but then realized, yeah, he could have told me to continue eating my meal, hair or no hair. Not being empowered to do anything further himself, he got the manager, who -- evidently working from the same playbook -- told me, "Well, we replaced your meal." Though already uncomfortable because of the close quarters and other patrons very close, and thinking about our previous table-talk, I nonetheless pressed on and repeated my comment to the server, and told the manager that was unsatisfactory. He asked what I desired and I should have been more directive. but suggested he should come up with the appropriate "service recovery". Mistake. The server returned with a bill with a $6.90 reduction, 30% of my meal charge, with of course the automatic 20% tip added. Had the circumstances been different, I would have given it back to him, and told him if he thought that was appropriate, go back and create another bill without any reduction, since $6.90 seemed to me to be a meaningless gesture. At this point it was less about the hair and more about the utter cluelessness of how disgusting it was as well as appetite-killing. But Im not like the people we had talked about so I moved on...incredulous. And started to think about how I would write a review...

My friend and I were happily spending a day in Naples when before the drive home I wanted a cup of coffee - no coffee shop visible. I asked a person setting up the patio at Bellini"s ( who later introduced himself as Eric), where the nearest coffee shop was. Much to my astonishment Eric said," we are not open right now but I will make you a cup of coffee". We had a delicious cup of coffee, a nice chat with Eric and when ready to leave he said "the coffee is on the house". I guess that I was so taken with his friendliness and generosity that I left my purse on a chair at the table at which we sat. I did not realize this until I got home . Panic, you can imagine all of the ID stuff, credit cards etc. in my wallet. Eric had found my purse, put it in his safe where it rested until today when I picked it up. Thank you Eric - your integrity will long be remembered by me.

NEW YEARS EVE 2010 WE DECIDED TO CHOOSE THIS VENUE TO DINE. THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE, DRY EGG NOODLES WITH A SPOONFUL OF SAUCE AND 2 SHRIMP ONE MUSSEL, AND ONE PIECE OF SQUID ON A HALF EMPTY PLATE FOR $39 AND I HAD THE VEAL WHICH WAS DRY AND TASTED AS THOUGH A DOG WOULD EAT IT FOR $40 IT CAME WITH CARROTS AND ONE BROCCOLLI PIECE AND 3 SLICED POTATOES. THE SERVICE SUCKED, THEY BROUGHT US THE WRONG MEALS AT FIRST THEN NEVER BROUGHT OUT THE BREAD WHEN ASKED, NEVER FILLED OUR DRINKS AND THE WAITER WAS RUDE , THE STAFF IS ARROGANT AS THOUGH THEY HAVE SOMETHING FABULOUS THERE WHEN THEY DONT.. I WOULDNT WISH THIS EXPERIENCE ON MY WORST ENEMY. TAKE YOUR $130 AND GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. I HAD TO BRING MY HUSBAND OUT TO EAT AFTER WE LEFT WHICH WAS A REAL DAMPER ON OUR EVENING.

Now i love food and have eaten all over the world and i have never had a finer meal then i have had at Bellini on 5Th in Naples Fl , I have been eating in this great establishment for 18 years and i will continue to eat there until as as long as they stand. The staff is the best, they are on top of your every need. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN , you will never have an issue as this place is spotless. Bravo Bravo Bravo. Thank you for the memories and i look forward to my next meal with you.

The food is not that great........and they do not treat you very well. They charged $5 to share our dinner and the bill was over $65.00.........we had salad, starter and main course which we shared. When you are eating out every meal, you can not eat that much. The waiter insulted us by saying would you like desert........and we said no and he said would you take it if I gave it to you half price? Like were cheep. Would never go there again.

Had yet another spectacular time at Bellini and as many locals know this is a family operated business with phenomenal food and drinks. Michaela is a great server as is Kahn. We had our holiday Christmas party here last December and just enjoyed a pre-Mothers Day Dinner. Was also here last week for yet another awesome experience. Maria and her entire family make you feel right at home. Keep up the great work you all. We love you.

Food was not as we expected. I ordered the fish n chips, and got fried cod and potato chips. Really?? potato chips?? My wife ordered the ceasar salad, and the croutons felt like spunges, and the dressing was not ceasar at all. Only good thing was a polite waiter, that was kind to our children and generally comfortable to speak with. Do not go here, the food is way below average. Expensive as well.

Really bad. Ridiculously overpriced. They had a completely different menu from what the website showed. The restaurant menu was twice the price. Very small portions and very nonchalant staff. We didn´t like the service but the waiter threatened to call the police if we didn´t pay the extremely high gratuity. They were rude and it was an unpleasant experience.

We think you open on Christmas Day then you set up for success. Its Christmas only goes so far as a reason for poor service and poor food. After ordering waited 90 minutes for the food. Cold calamari and the speciality seafood soup was simply disgusting. No Bellini you deserve the one point regardless.

Very very ordinary food. An all-you-can-eat-buffet quality. Highly overpriced, and higher than usual gratuities are automatically added to your bill. The service was adequate but cold. The staff seems to be very unhappy. Cannot say anything positive. We really disliked. Sorry.

Will never go there again! Felt raped, ordered a dish from the menu at $30 and was charged $47. When I complained to the waiter, the owner came to our table but did nothing about it. The Food was not worth the price either. My advise, DONT GO!
