Ive eaten here before. But on my last visit, I felt like I was discriminated against. Im Cuban but I look ameican. When I ordered a completa with white rice black beans and smoked pork chops. It took the server a very long time to serve me. When I was going to pay for the food, the lady charged me $7.49. To me thats not a lot of money, but the sign for completas says chuletas $6.00. I informed the cashier of the price error. She told me no, its $7.00. I said yes, I know youre charging me $7.49 but the price says $6.00. The other worker came over and told me. You should have kept your mouth shut, now youre gonna have to pay $8.00. I told her, what do you mean, the sign says $6.00. She went into the back of the bakery, the kitchen. She came out with another older lady, seemed to be the manager. She told me it was $8.00 are you going to take it, or not! She had the server change the price on a piece of paper she had on the counter. Made me feel real stupid, cheap and uncomfortable. All of this for some false advertising. The pork chops were cold too. Beware of these discriminating people!

Good food, however felt discriminated against during my last visit. They served me when I went a couple of times with a group coworkers... blend of Hispanic/Latina, Black American, and Haitian. However, by myself (Black American) Ive stood 7 minutes waiting for someone to serve me although there were 4 people available up front. That last time I asked loudly if anyone was going to serve me... everyone looked at me but no one responded or acknowledged my presence, so I walked out. Never been back since. At least 2 other coworkers who sometimes work at my jobs Miami Gardens location shared similar experiences.

I recently relocated back to Miami. So I decided to visit one of my favorite bakery growing up. I walk across the street with my my, the you lady behind the counter with blond hair was extremely nice to the person in front of me. I go up she is so rude to me..as if I was bothering her. With that being said I pay her then I tip her and tell to have a wonderful day in Spanish...Ohhh whats this the black guy speaks Spanish ( Said the look on her face)..Im Dominican..Immediately LMAO on inside.the reason for the 2 starts was for the hard bread and the discussing attitude- my business now goes to Top Value.

I am not the type of person to usually leave reviews... but after my experience yesterday it is a must. Today I am laying on my bed with a fever just because one of your employees decided not to you proper sanitation . Dont sneeze over customers food please . Cover yourself up or go home if you are sick. And besides that incident the overall attitude was not the best . If someone is being a jerk to you I can somewhat understand... but all I did was say my order... Smh

This place is now called Bob the Baker. Still serves Cuban food. The pastries are ok and the desserts are always stale as hell. During my recent visit they ran out of plastic ware so we couldnt eat our food there. This place USED to be great.
