Nutreat Restaurant is in the heart of the DTLA Flower Market and parking can get pretty tough--your choices are between street/metered parking and Flower Marts parking lot ($2 with validation). If you come on a holiday weekend, its free street parking! For a party of 6 with no reservation on a Saturday, we were extremely lucky and had little trouble with the wait, ordering, and grabbing a table. I ordered the Pulled Pork Hash and the boyfriend ordered Buttermilk Fried Chicken + Waffle. If you check in on Yelp, it gets you a complimentary Forge Coffee. The Pulled Pork Hash was fantastic: fresh arugula on top of runny eggs on top of perfectly bbqd pulled pork on top of the crunchy, brick toast hash. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken + Waffle also impressed with the crunchy chicken skin, juicy chicken meat, and fluffy waffle. If I ever find myself hungry while flower shopping in the area, Id definitely swing by for a quick bite.

This place is notorious for mixing flavors that dont go together. This has happened more than once. Be very careful when ordering. Make sure you read all the ingredienrs before hand. I ordered a tuna sandwich expecting a tuna sandwich, and what I got were olives, and eggs, and mixed greens, and cucumber and it was waaay too much. I ended up taking everything off, but the taste of the olives was hard to overcome. Wont be ordering from here again.

On my very first visit I was very pleased with the overall decor and the staffs helpfulness. Once I got my soup bowl I proceeded to the soup station (it is a self serve; it also include additional condiments for the soup). As I sat down and tasted the chick pea and butternut soup I very please. After I finished I looking forward to the Peruvian chicken sandwich, it didnt disappoint. Will certainly be coming back for lunch !

So disappointed. I searched for a place for breakfast that served organic food. I was so happy to find this place online. Their website says they open at 8. Walked there from my hotel. It is 8:30 and they still arent open, despite the fact that the sign by the door says they open at 7:30. Going to find another option.

Very bad experience, 10$ is very expensive for a bowl of not fresh salad with few ingredients. I had to remove a lot of black juicy salad leafs.!!!
