Let me begin this by saying that Im from New Orleans. Now that would make me biased against most but Ive never been more disappointed in "cajun" food or atmosphere until now. Just because you slap some beads and the colors purple, green and gold on something does not make it Mardi Gras or N.O. themed. Had more of a waffle house feeling than anything. Then there is the food. Ive been a waitress before and I RARELY talk bad about food and I never complain, but this was just terrible. Theres a difference between seasoning something and putting so much seasoning on it that its almost inedible. The crab cakes were so salty that we couldnt even eat them. I only took them to-go so that I could bring them home just so people didnt think I was overreacting. Almost every single thing we ate was just terrible. From the French fries to the salad (the salad dressings were the only positive and they were mediocre at best). The only thing positive out of the whole experience was the staff and that wasnt very professional to say the least. All in all just save your money and go somewhere else. Just take my word and find some other place to eat. And if not then dont say I didnt tell you so.

Let me preface this with the statement that I love fried shrimp and could eat them every day if my cholesterol and arteries would let me. That being said, we just had dinner (Fried Shrimp) at Crawdads in Lynn Haven at 938 Ohio Ave. For the first time I can ever remember, I left shrimp uneaten on my plate and it wasnt because they gave me too much food. The shrimp was greasy and it seemed like it came from 2 different batches as the batter was different on some. My husbands plate was the same way. He has always been a member of the "Clean Plate Club" but he lost his membership for sure tonight. He took one or two bites of his jambalaya and said it was tasteless, watery and without texture. Neither of us ate a hushpuppy, they were also dripping in grease. Both of our mothers always told us "if you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything" so I will say this about our dinner......the water was good.

We went there last night. They had a special for all you can eat grouper (fried, grilled) and steamed shrimp for $16.99. My husband and I both got that. He got his grouper grilled and I got mine fried and they both tasted like they where freezer burned. Then on to the shrimp. They said it was steamed but it tasted and looked like it was boiled. All the seafood was bland and not good at all. The only good thing was the zydeco bread. I expected better for the price we paid. The service was okay until they started sending a small child who looked about 6 or 7 to check on us. Thus is not the first time I ate there but it will be the last.

Really picky, never been a fan of clam strips or scallops but the platter changed my mind went here with some Co workers and they ordered the platter, started picking off of it and was surprised that I actually liked them, but before it came I was being safe and ordered the seafood fettuccine Alfredo, and I dont want to put down other businesses in the town but was surprised it was better then the only Italian restaurant Ill eat at. Was very surprised that such a small place had such awesome flavors and did not expect them at all. I hope to be able to make it in more because its hard to find an overall good experience in lynn haven.

We wondered if we should stop. It was small -- just a hole in the wall. We werent sure if we wanted cajun -- we just wanted fresh seafood. We asked the two couples that were leaving if it was good. They assured us it was. We ordered a fried shrimp plate and a fish plate. It was amazing! The fish was perfectly cooked -- fresh tasting with the perfect light, crunchy batter fried in fresh grease. The shrimp were just right -- lightly battered, fresh from the grease, lightly seasoned and so many more than we could eat. Highly, highly, recommended!!!!

Cant say I can recommend this place. The location is kind of a dump, and apparently covering the ceiling and walls with mardi gras beads is enough for some people to feel Cajun. Ive tried it twice - the first time I ordered an omelette with crawfish. It was served without the crawfish. The second time, I order some crab/corn bisque, it was literally sauteed vegetables and crawfish submerged in fresh cream. Save your money - avoid the disappointment.

Crawdads? You would think they would have decent crawfish by the name?! COMPLETELY blan, no flavor what so ever :(. The fried mushrooms were worse!! They are the thin slices that cook too easily, so the batter is burned!! The jambalaya was was tasteless as well, with too much tomatoe. The only dish worth going back for was the fried catfish and shrimp! The batter was not overcooked, and the shrimp were perfect!!

I went into this place to order for my family to find one of the waitresses standing a top a table to write something on the board. The material in the seats are cracked and they had empty boxes strung in the eating area of the restaurant. I cant attest for the actual food though since after seeing all of this I turned around and left the building. One of the worst places Ive been to.

We went for the first time on 4/22/16, and we will definitely be back. I had the Shrimp Etouffee, it was excellent. My husband had the all you can eat catfish and shrimp, it also was excellent. The coleslaw wasnt over mayonaised which is always a plus in my book. I think this food surpasses Captain Andersons in taste. and to leave with a check under 30 dollars was also a plus.

My husband had the gumbo and loved it. I had shrimp tacos, cheese grits, and jambalaya. The cheese grits were excellent. The shrimp in the tacos were small and not deveind. Not enough of them either. But the jambalaya was not good. No meat or shrimp. Tasted like warm canned tomatos with onions, rice, and lots of celery. Order something else.

Small (hole in the wall, or parking lot). Fantastic food every time I have visited. I have been there 3 times. Grouper was excellent, gumbo and jambalaya wonderful. Shrimp is fresh from the Bay, fried very lite breaded with good seasoning. I recommend this place very highly. Fantastic no frills local restaurant.

Great service and the food was wonderful and fresh! My brother and I grew up in panama city, and when we come home, the 11st thing we look for us a good, local seafood restaurant. Well be back every time were here visiting Momma! Tons of food, very reasonable prices as well!

The sign ourside says one thing and the menu says something else... all you can eat means that you can get that without a week day limitations. We used to love to go here on weekend not sure we can make the restrictions or worth the effort to anymore
