I can see why this place is FOR SALE. The experience we had 71417 was the worst i have ever had. The waitress was rude, the cooks didnt have gloves on while preparing the food. Another couple got up and left bc the waitress was rude to them too. We drove 1 hr to eat there. Actually google a pizzas place and was going to leave and eat pizza but they closed early. Thats the 2nd time we drove to eat there and the service was horrible. The owner seen all this and did nothing but kept walking to the bar. The hours said open til 1am but all they where worried about was cleaning and scooting chairs across the deck and sweeping under our feet while we were eating at 930p. We will never go back. I hope if anyone buys this place they will hire friendly service staff.

Would NOT recommend. Took our waitress 30 minutes to come to our table. That was after we asked another waitress to take our order. We had the worst waitress in the world. It was very hot out, took another 15 minutes to get water. People were actually walking out because no one would take their orders. Not happy that our lunch took 1.5 hours and we had to go in and stand at the counter to pay our waitress because she would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. Have NEVER in my life NOT left a tip until at that restaurant. Our waitress needs to find a new career. The other waitresses were attentive and quick. Too bad we didnt sit in their sections.

Location is beautiful and the food is okay.. But our waitress was awful and it looked like there was only 1 waitress who knew what she was doing. We werent even greeted for about 20 mins, then we finally order our drinks and food at the same time. Took another maybe 10/15 mins to get drinks and another probably 20 mins before we got our appetizer, another 10 before we got our food. The whole thing took at least an hour and a half by the time we left.. The first restaurant that Ive never left a tip at. And I have served at many places and I truly felt like she deserved no tip

Brought wife here to have a meal on the water. She ordered the house salad, She ordered the blue cheese dressing, The dressing came in packets that did not have an experation date and did not look or taste like blue cheese. [My wife works in the food industry] Told the waiteress and she told the manager. The manager did not come out but gave her another salad. I would not recommend this resturaunt to anyone if this is the typical way that they treat their patrons. Will not be back.

Excellent experience! I have been eating at the lighthouse over three years and never have been disappointed. This evening I brought my family, my wife, eldest daughter, grandkids, and son in law. Our food and service were simply perfect. The grandkids fed the fish in the Ohio river, by the railing in the restaurant and loved every minute of their experience. Certainly a memory maker that will last a lifetime. I will be back in a the near future.

Overpriced for what you are getting. Staff is unorganized, slow and rude to customers. The owner publicly cussed her husband(also an employee). Food is below mediocre. Waited well over 20min just to be waited on. The establishment looks to be in desperate need of repairs. Only positive thing is the view. Definitely should not be the first listing when searching for Madison restaurants.

Initially I was concerned about entering the restaurant because the outward appearance was a little rough but Im happy I did. The service was very down to earth and friendly from the start. The tenderloin was a large serving for a fair price. I rate the experience a 10/10 for good quality food, pretty view on the water, and easy going staff that was also attentive.

I have heard good things about this restaurant but my wife and young daughters experience on April 24, 2016 was not so good. After waiting nearly 2 hours there were only crackers and ketchup on table. My wife facing a 3 hour drive home had no choice but to leave and opt for McDonalds drive thru. Disappointing.

Terribly disappointed. We were not served. An apologetic waitress took brought us drinks after a long wait, took our order...then no dinner. Three other tabkes who came in after us were served. We ended up tracking down the waitress to give her a tip, so as not to be rude...tgen just leaving.

Frankly, it offers what many refer to as "dock food." The place is for sale, has not been kept in good condition, and because it is for sale the owner appears to be cutting more corners than usual. IS a shame as it is a floating bar and restaurant with a great view.

The regatta ⛵ race was on and we didnt reservation. We drove from Cincinnati and didnt know about the race but the girls inside let us order a takeout and were very nice. Thank you. Enjoyed the food and got to see a race on a sunny day

Waited and waited without services and finally a patron next to us leaned over and warned us that the wait before ordering was an hour!!! We liked sitting on the barge viewing the River but an hour wait before your order? We left.

Awesome food..were so busy labor day girls did great job getting everything together and the Cooks in back great 5 stars all the way.. plus dock that boat at a dollar a foot over night. Free docking for boat to eat great love it

We waited for about 25 to 30 minutes and never even got waited on. The people serving the food would clean the tables and pickup trash and never once did they wash their hands. We will never go back.

Appetizer was ok... We had the mushrooms... The fried oyster/shrimp basket was salty & a little over cooked... Fish had little seasoning... Service was ok... Watch the ramp on your way down!

This is a great place to get a casual bite. Our kids loved feeding the catfish and ducks while we ate! Make sure to double check they are open because their hours are seasonal.

Nice laid back place. Its literally a barge on the river. Great views. Limited but delicious menu. And they have cold beer, and tunes. It is cash only, they have an ATM.
