Loved this place! Came here because of the reviews and was blown away. I had an omelette with grits and toast: eggs were cooked perfect, grits were very creamy and thick. Boyfriend had the country fried steak with breakfast potatoes and toast: steak was great with just the right amount of crunch in the coating, potatoes were thin, chopped up pieces of baked potato with a little bit of skin left on. We had the two meals and two sodas and paid under $16 total for the tab. Our server was happy and friendly, and the guy who rang up our check was very happy to see us. Will surely be coming back here! I think Google says theyre open until 11pm, but theyre really only open until 3 and serve both breakfast and lunch.

This humble breakfast and lunch eatery has a friendly staff. A new owner has just taken over the establishment, hopefully, they will get to know the regulars and have the same customer service oriented attitude that Nick had. My family have been dining here sine the early 90s (four owners ago). It has been a regular stop for family breakfast for nearly my entire life. Great burgers for lunch and if you ask, they will do a cinnamon and sugar coating on your french toast if you are having breakfast instead.

My husband and I had the true pleasure of having breakfast at this lovely place this morning. The staff were superior, helping each other by making sure coffee cups were filled and customers were well attended to. Our food was magnificent! It was fresh, hot and more than a full portion. We both had omelets and may I say I havent had a better one in all my 59 years. We will be making this a regular hot spot, I hope you will too.

Not a chain! Comfortable booth seating, although tables are available for those who cannot navigate a booth. Value. The food is excellent, choices are varied and the pricing is fair. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is excellent. It is so homey you can get your food prepared to your preference and fresh fruit is cut per order. Breakfast and lunch are equally fine.

You absolutely arent going to find better breakfast in the area. My fiance has been coming here for nearly 20 years and Ive been coming here for nearly 10. this place is. a MAJOR ripoff avoid at all costs!!!!!!! i orderd the sphagteti and instead of giving a bunch of medium size noodles like most place do they gave me only 3 or 4 relly long noodles so it looks like same amount of shpageti but it is only 3 or 4 noodle!!!! only reson this is 2 star instead of 1 is that the lube was very nice.

The customer service was amazing, I was greeted in a kind, warm, FAMILY friendly manner as soon as I entered the door. This was my first visit so this spoke volumes to me and my husband. The food was just as amazing, I highly recommend the country fried steak and eggs!!!! ;) I cant wait to bring my sons.

This is a great mom and pop diner, I have going there for the last ten years. The food, staff and prices were great. The only concern is the place has changed ownership recently. So I dont know if the above will remain the same. I did notice that the menu prices have increased slightly.

Went for breakfast. Had to wait 20 min to get seated, took 30 min for the waitress to take our order, then 45 min later we finally got our food. Ok food. Ridiculously bad service. 2 hr unsatisfying breakfast? Dont do it! Go somewhere else, Lennys and Alfrescos are both excellent

My husband and I love the breakfast food here! We come every Sunday because the food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. I think its the owner I see every Sunday, and he is so very nice. The grits are my favorite and my husband always gets the biscuits and gravy.

I LOVE GOLDEN BEAR!!!! Everything is fantastic here! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu because it is so good. The owners and waitresses are very nice but the usually takes a while for the food to come out. But still its totally worth coming here.

Went this Sunday morning with my beautiful girlfriend and sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes because we thought they opened at six. The food and service is always so great and today was no different as usual the food and service was awesome.

The big bear french pancakes are delicious. The grits are the best grits anywhere and the owner is so friendly and helpful. We go every Saturday for breakfast and we will wait just to get seated in Elles section. Best waitress by far!
